  • A ceremony was held at the Pentagon to recognize Claudius and PC566for his credit for the kill of U166


  • Herbert Claudius Jr. received on his father’s behalf the Legion of Merit with a Combat “V” for Valor


  • Present was CNO Admiral Jonathan Greenert, USN


  • Award presented by SECNAV Ray Maybus
