About the Show:
Imagine being able to divert 95% of the waste produced at an event with 10,000 people and recycling it?!?
In this episode of the podcast, we sit down with Michael Kraus, Project Manager with Food Loops who shares his story, the origins of Food Loops, and how they only had to send 5% of the waste from the Roots Festival to a landfill.
Food Loops has worked hard to create a sustainable environment for programs like Bite NWA, events at Crystal Bridges, Heartlands Summit, and many more.
In addition to events, Food Loops does residential food waste programs, food waste pickup, and nutrient-rich compost to name a few offerings.
Food Loops has a goal to put a dent in the 80 Thousand tons of food waste a year in NWA. Give them a call when you are planning your next event or office party and see how much of a difference you can make in the environment especially here in the Ozarks. Tell them you heard about them here on the podcast.
