It was a little rainy today, which was a little unexpected I'm.

So in this habit now of going on a daily walk sometimes two, with the two dogs

I have this tandem leash.

So it's like the two dogs.

TREY:

And so it's, it is an event.

TREY:

It's not a bad thing, but it's an event.

TREY:

And then we get outside and then David wanted to join and our nephew Denver's staying.

TREY:

So then he was going to come and then it was, then we literally walked,

TREY:

We walked maybe five steps and it started like, it was like, oh, I think it's spitting.

TREY:

And then it was like,

CHELSEY:

Oh, no.

TREY:

it was crazy.

TREY:

So we ran back.

CHELSEY:

Did you get caught or would you even, were you able to get home?

TREY:

No.

TREY:

We were like so close to the garage.

TREY:

Like we were still in the driveway that it was sort of like, well,

TREY:

But then it did sort of stop a little bit.

TREY:

And David walked around with an umbrella and I just sort of took the rain.

TREY:

It was fine.

TREY:

How about you?

CHELSEY:

I'm good.

CHELSEY:

I have this random pain sometimes in my, I know it's weird in my pointer finger on my left hand,

CHELSEY:

And so I had this like throbbing pain and this finger all night, so I didn't get the best

CHELSEY:

Oddly enough.

TREY:

That is so wild.

TREY:

The body is so weird how everything is connected.

CHELSEY:

Yeah, it's bizarre.

CHELSEY:

But Jenny, Watch That Rock Pilates, I mean, she knows what she's doing, so thank God for

TREY:

She said you got a problem in your finger.

TREY:

Let's move that neck.

CHELSEY:

Well, besides the, um, pain in your finger, is there any complaint you want a lodge?

Lodge a Complaint.

CHELSEY:

Yes.

CHELSEY:

I would like to lodge a complaint against cell phones.

CHELSEY:

Like, you know, when you have full bars, like you look at your phone, you're like,

CHELSEY:

And then you're like, I have full bars and then your friends, like I also have full bars.

CHELSEY:

do the bars even mean anything anymore?

CHELSEY:

It's really annoying.

TREY:

Does the friend have the same,

CHELSEY:

No different service provider, you know, does this happen to you?

TREY:

It's odd that you're saying that because I do find that I will

TREY:

When I purchased my iPad, this is a tangent.

TREY:

I was duped into getting it a cell plan, which I didn't comprehend what was happening.

TREY:

And then I did, when I got my bill and I was like, what the fuck?

TREY:

And then I called and was like, wait, what happened?

TREY:

And they're like, yeah, that's correct.

TREY:

And I was like, oh, but I can, I have it without that.

TREY:

And they're like, that's the plan you chose?

TREY:

And I was like, so I just felt stupid.

TREY:

And I hung up and then like later I was like, I have to cancel this!

TREY:

Tangent.

TREY:

Okay.

TREY:

Um, yes, I do have to flip my cell phone a lot back from like I T turn the wifi

TREY:

I'll put on airplane, not airplane

CHELSEY:

Same.

TREY:

and some how that will trigger better service.

TREY:

But I have to like do that for a couple of seconds.

TREY:

It's very weird.

CHELSEY:

it is very weird.

CHELSEY:

It doesn't really make any sense to me.

CHELSEY:

I don't know what the bars are supposed to mean.

CHELSEY:

Like I thought I could trust the bars, you know, like right now I have two bars and I live

CHELSEY:

So that feels accurate to me.

CHELSEY:

And that's okay.

CHELSEY:

Like, I'm cool.

CHELSEY:

If you want to let me know that I don't always have full service, but don't lie to me.

CHELSEY:

It's hurtful.

TREY:

I hear that so hard.

TREY:

What's the first visual.

When you hear the word B A R S.

Oh, see, I think of like a candy bar,

What does that say about us?

but I also, like when you were saying bars, I then thought about like a bar,

I think that, I felt maybe I felt bars like jail bars, because I feel imprisoned by, you

TREY:

You know, David has Verizon and I still have AT&T.

CHELSEY:

Yes.

TREY:

And that is a very interesting dynamic for a spouse to have a different wireless company,

TREY:

But the good thing about that is that if one of us doesn't have service, odds are the other one will.

TREY:

And that's really fantastic.

CHELSEY:

That is nice.

CHELSEY:

I think that's helpful.

CHELSEY:

I actually think it's helpful to have an inter wireless or inter network relationship.

TREY:

Yeah.

TREY:

That's like, that's the key to marriage.

CHELSEY:

is the key.

CHELSEY:

I mean, weirdly enough, you would be great here AT&T service at my house is excellent.

CHELSEY:

Verizon is no good.

CHELSEY:

So maybe we should just do a swap.

TREY:

Seems like a realistic solution.

CHELSEY:

Anyway, what is your complaint?

CHELSEY:

Do you have a complaint to lodge?

TREY:

Yeah.

TREY:

I have a couple of complaints to lodge.

TREY:

the one that's the most pressing I'm choosing to not do because it's so basic.

TREY:

And it's been covered a lot.

TREY:

The roof of my mouth was burned today by a Hot Pocket, but I'm not going to go into that.

TREY:

Cause it's just, everyone knows.

TREY:

And it's like, enough.

CHELSEY:

I think we should go into it, but sure.

TREY:

Well, I just feel like it's like such an

CHELSEY:

this is your cathartic moment.

CHELSEY:

So pick, pick the complaint you want to lodge.

TREY:

I want to lodge a complaint against taking group photos.

CHELSEY:

mmm, Okay.

TREY:

Okay.

TREY:

Now this is something that really gets me.

TREY:

And I know that I am married to a professional photographer, so I need to

CHELSEY:

Yeah,

TREY:

it's something that has come up a lot in our relationship because

TREY:

Wanted to take a picture underneath every Broadway marquee.

TREY:

Like anytime we saw a show and we were very fortunate that that's like an

TREY:

So we would go to a lot of Broadway shows and I am a person that I

TREY:

And so I'm always in a rush.

TREY:

And then I want to like go in and I want to like sit down.

TREY:

I want to read the Playbill, anyway, that has come up a lot.

TREY:

But when we're in group settings, And it's like, let's commemorate

TREY:

Everyone gets together.

TREY:

Well, we're not in like in a photo development phase anymore.

TREY:

everyone has a smartphone, everyone's having a side conversation.

TREY:

No one is ready to stand together and then take a picture.

TREY:

And then some Aunt is always going to have her eyes closed.

TREY:

Some family member that suddenly has disappeared and they've gone to the bathroom

TREY:

Can't say, oh, we got away.

TREY:

Everyone weighed everyone.

TREY:

And that's like, let's get the waiter over here to take a picture.

TREY:

And then it's like, the waiter has 17 tables and they don't want to take your stupid picture.

TREY:

And it's like, or you get somebody.

TREY:

Like doesn't know how to use the phone.

TREY:

And then it's like, oh no, this is an Android.

TREY:

I don't have an Android.

TREY:

then it's like, oh yeah, this is an Android.

TREY:

Now you have to do this.

TREY:

Oh wait, can you do a flash?

TREY:

It's like, I don't know how to work the phone.

TREY:

And then you have to like go over and do stuff.

TREY:

And then everyone's like, oh wait, are my eyes closed?

TREY:

Oh, I don't like my, everyone has to look at the picture...

CHELSEY:

...a week later.

TREY:

And then we haven't even gotten to the Jewish goodbyes yet.

TREY:

It's like, then, it's 25 minutes before we complete taking this photograph.

TREY:

And then someone's not happy with the picture a group.

CHELSEY:

Always!

TREY:

just really...

CHELSEY:

...you don't end up using the photo,

TREY:

well, no one uses the photos anyway.

TREY:

It's like, they just like sit Marie Kondo, digital clutter.

TREY:

Like no one is seeing these pictures.

CHELSEY:

Yeah.

TREY:

But I do recognize that it is really nice to go back and see images from a long time ago.

TREY:

And I recognize the value.

TREY:

It just it's like back in the days you took a picture, it went to the photo lab.

TREY:

You waited a week.

TREY:

They developed it.

TREY:

One hour photo.

TREY:

Oh my God.

TREY:

One hour photo.

TREY:

and then you would get whatever the picture was...was!

CHELSEY:

Yeah.

TREY:

But now we're also in this whole digital age of face tuning and beauty

TREY:

And so no one thinks they look pretty because we're not used to seeing actual humans anymore.

TREY:

We're seeing like fake, blurred out skin people.

TREY:

Oh, it's just a vicious circle.

CHELSEY:

Yeah.

CHELSEY:

I feel you, I think it's so funny actually to me that you brought this up because

CHELSEY:

I was like very stressed because I was running late and then they got there and

CHELSEY:

And I just, you know, she's like, you look like, you know how to take a good picture.

CHELSEY:

And I'm like, well, that's an accurate assumption.

CHELSEY:

So I felt like, yeah, let me help him out.

CHELSEY:

And

TREY:

that is the danger right there,

CHELSEY:

20 later,

TREY:

that, but her saying, oh, you're going to be good at this.

TREY:

It's already like, you're going to be too much work for me.

TREY:

Sorry.

TREY:

I interrupted you, keep going.

CHELSEY:

I Know it was so much work and there were kids in the photos that they weren't looking.

CHELSEY:

And it's just funny to me that you brought that up because that literally just happened to me so...

CHELSEY:

accurate.

TREY:

And then also, I just, I do recognize that like family matters and like we

CHELSEY:

That was why I stepped up, even though I was late.

CHELSEY:

Cause I was like, yes, I am good at taking these photos.

CHELSEY:

And like, I can imagine you might get a terrible photo.

CHELSEY:

So like allow me to give you this experience.

CHELSEY:

But it did go on a little bit longer than I had anticipated.

TREY:

I'm amazed that we had just talked about photos for so long.

TREY:

I mean, it actually, this is really becoming an enjoyable segment for

CHELSEY:

Yeah.

TREY:

Are pretty universal.

TREY:

And so like, there is something freeing about like sharing it and

TREY:

And then it's like, well, whatever, you know,

CHELSEY:

Yeah.

CHELSEY:

Oh, it's great.

Sometimes you need to kvetch and with that in mind,

my review today is a one dot review from TripAdvisor.

This is on a list.

TREY:

It is number 102 of 318 things to do in Honolulu.

TREY:

And it is from Lisa and the review subject is shopping at Ross Dress

TREY:

So it has nothing to do with Honolulu.

CHELSEY:

What?

CHELSEY:

I'm so confused.

CHELSEY:

So, wait, hold on this, you found this on a list,

TREY:

...of things to do in Honolulu,

CHELSEY:

but what we actually discovered was a review for the Ross in

TREY:

Virginia

CHELSEY:

Virginia.

TREY:

Because Lisa wrote the review

CHELSEY:

under this

TREY:

the Honolulu Ross Dress for Less.

CHELSEY:

Oy Lisa.

CHELSEY:

Okay.

CHELSEY:

Already, already starting off on an interesting foot.

CHELSEY:

All right.

CHELSEY:

Let's hear from Lisa.

TREY:

Okay.

TREY:

I experienced a first this evening.

TREY:

While traveling, we stopped at Ross Dress for Less in Glen Alen, Virginia.

TREY:

I had found an item of clothing in another Ross store in another city, but needed a larger size.

TREY:

So stopped when I found this Ross.

TREY:

It was 7:30 PM and the store didn't close until 10:00 PM.

TREY:

As I shopped, I was pleased to find what I was seeking as well as several

TREY:

Here's the shocker!

TREY:

I was told all dressing rooms are closed after 7:30, so I couldn't try them on.

TREY:

Are you kidding me?

TREY:

A clothing store that doesn't allow you to try them on before purchase.

TREY:

If you're perhaps having security issues, hire a security guard.

TREY:

If you can't do that, then you should close the store the minute you close the dressing rooms.

TREY:

I had several items I chose not to purchase when I found this out.

TREY:

I even quite shopping altogether.

TREY:

I proceeded to the checkout with only the item I had found in the larger size

TREY:

There was one woman with two small children in front of me.

TREY:

I waited for her to decide what she was purchasing and deliberate for several minutes

TREY:

At this point, I was becoming rather agitated since we had a long drive still ahead of us.

TREY:

The manager couldn't get the woman's card to run through and kept apologizing.

TREY:

After at least 10 more minutes, she announced she would have to void the entire

TREY:

She apologized to me for having to wait.

TREY:

At which time I expressed my concerns and shock at their policy.

TREY:

She told me she had expressed comments to the manager.

TREY:

But he wouldn't let her keep the dressing rooms open later.

TREY:

I stated that he then needed to be on site dealing with angry customers.

TREY:

Furthermore, I informed her, I was told she was the manager, a comment to which

TREY:

After waiting several more minutes for the transaction, still to be completed for the

TREY:

This store lost ALL of my business this evening, and I can assure

TREY:

When next I travel this way.

TREY:

Furthermore, everyone I know will hear this story.

TREY:

In my opinion, there are enough Ross's in the Richmond, Virginia, that if you

TREY:

I've never been so appalled in my life.

TREY:

And I've shopped at many, a Ross store and many states as I've traveled.

TREY:

Very disappointed and amazed this store is allowed to operate this way.

CHELSEY:

Wow.

CHELSEY:

Oh my God.

CHELSEY:

Lisa, Lisa, like, I feel like I need like a fire extinguisher or something to put her out.

CHELSEY:

She was really fired up there.

TREY:

I have a lot of thoughts here.

TREY:

There are a bunch of like, very like random misspellings.

TREY:

everyone will hear about this.

TREY:

It's spelled H E R E.

TREY:

there's a bunch of I'S that are not capitalized.

TREY:

Also.

TREY:

I do recognize the validity of complaining what's the point in shopping

TREY:

But I will say that everyone knows that Ross and TJ, max, all these stores, they

TREY:

All the stuff in the line going to check out is like gadgets and gizmos.

TREY:

A plenty.

TREY:

So you don't have try them on anyway.

TREY:

Okay.

TREY:

I've talked a lot.

TREY:

Tell me what you're thinking.

TREY:

CHELSEY:

So many thoughts.

CHELSEY:

Like, first of all, I feel like I need to put aside that she reviewed

CHELSEY:

Cause that's gonna distract me now.

CHELSEY:

But I do have a question, like when I put this on this list of Honolulu things, does

TREY:

No, this was Honolulu location.

CHELSEY:

okay, well then therefore this route review is like completely useless.

CHELSEY:

Would this impact my ability to, or my willingness to shop at this Ross, et cetera.

CHELSEY:

Like, I feel like I can't even bring that into play, However I have thoughts.

CHELSEY:

All right.

CHELSEY:

where are we traveling to?

CHELSEY:

It was like, while traveling, like, so like, are we traveling to Honolulu?

CHELSEY:

Maybe?

CHELSEY:

I don't think we can drive there.

TREY:

I have no idea.

CHELSEY:

But we're clearly traveling.

CHELSEY:

What I was shocked.

CHELSEY:

That was when she, first of all, she informed us later that she's an avid Ross shopper, but

CHELSEY:

I was thinking that's a gamble, honey, because aren't the Ross,

CHELSEY:

So it's like what you find at one Ross.

CHELSEY:

You're not going to necessarily find it in another.

TREY:

Yeah.

TREY:

When I read that at the beginning, I was like, oh my God, that's a magic trick.

TREY:

That same thing was there.

CHELSEY:

Yeah.

CHELSEY:

How do you feel about the dressing room?

CHELSEY:

Closing at 7:30 as a policy?

TREY:

It does sound to me that perhaps this Ross was understaffed.

TREY:

If the manager is running the register.

TREY:

There's no reason to shut it down, right?

CHELSEY:

I mean, the only thing that I was thinking that they close at eight.

TREY:

Oh, they close at 10.

TREY:

yup.

CHELSEY:

then ridiculous.

CHELSEY:

Okay.

CHELSEY:

That's crazy.

TREY:

Yeah.

TREY:

It's two and a half hours early.

CHELSEY:

right.

CHELSEY:

So I'll give Lisa that, like, that's an insane policy in my mind.

CHELSEY:

I was like, okay, well, if they close at eight, maybe it's just that, like, if we let people

CHELSEY:

So I was sort of giving them a little bit of the benefit of the doubt, but if it was

CHELSEY:

Did she say that this made her quit shopping altogether?

CHELSEY:

Was that like a declarative statement?

CHELSEY:

Like I'm I no longer shopper that just made her quit shopping at the Ross?

TREY:

Well, she says that she'll never shop here again when next I travel this way.

CHELSEY:

No, but before that, earlier in there she said something like, I think she

TREY:

Yes, that's right.

TREY:

Lisa realized they could no longer...

CHELSEY:

They couldn't try things on.

CHELSEY:

So she was just like, I'm not going to buy anything, cause at first I

CHELSEY:

Like, and I'd quit shopping altogether.

CHELSEY:

I mean, she knew so many details about this other woman that was checking out.

CHELSEY:

First of all, it sounds like that other woman was in the middle of a nightmare.

CHELSEY:

And Lisa had like, no empathy for what was happening right.

CHELSEY:

With that woman.

CHELSEY:

Like the card reader wasn't working.

TREY:

She's dealing with the kids that that want a

CHELSEY:

had children.

CHELSEY:

Yeah.

CHELSEY:

That are like screaming and like, I want this mommy, you know, and that's like a nightmare.

CHELSEY:

Like, it sounds like that woman was having a nightmare as well,

TREY:

What do you think about engaging with the cashier while you're behind the person that's

CHELSEY:

I mean, that's a pet peeve like that.

CHELSEY:

Like, listen, like, I don't know, like Lisa is obviously making it sound

CHELSEY:

And there are like her family's like waiting outside for her.

CHELSEY:

Firstly, I want to say I am a woman.

I was so disappointed in Medieval Times when I just recently went.

What a let down.

And I don't mind that they have a queen, but it's so obviously a politically

The bad Knight is simply a bad Knight because he makes some comments against women.

Now bring back the black Knight.

This new show is not entertaining at all and is just a ploy at gender equality.

To which point it's no longer interesting or good.

This is supposed to be mid evil times, not modern social justice warrior times.

In Myrtle Beach, right next door to Medieval Times was the Dolly Parton's Dixie

They're not similar, but it's like an arena and they serve food and they're

And Dolly Parton famously removed the word Dixie because people were offended by it.

And she has this beautiful statement.

That's like, nothing is worth someone being offended.

If one human being has the fleeting thought that it's offensive, I'm taking the word out.
