Part 2 of 3 — Featuring Georgia Lunch, HR Representative
Georgia Lunch is still in the building. The animal trough situation remains unresolved. And somehow the Metal Shoppe has descended into one of the deepest, most gloriously unhinged rock music conversations in the show's history.
Part 2 picks up right where Part 1 left off — Georgia Lunch is still on her post-air-guitar-travel welfare check, Noman is still navigating the ongoing saga of Donnie Rhames, tapestries, and corporate intrigue, and Rory is along for the ride as things spiral beautifully out of control.
This episode covers:
Music featured this episode:

Nice.
Speaker A:Nice.
Speaker B:We just.
Speaker A:That's awesome.
Speaker B:We just did complete.
Speaker B:What are those called?
Speaker B:We did this thing.
Speaker A:Knew I should have made a left join it.
Speaker C:Well, if you want, I have.
Speaker C:I have a song actually, that might be interesting to you.
Speaker C:We might.
Speaker C:You might want to get lyrics.
Speaker B:Oh, wait, we're supposed to be doing a show here.
Speaker B:Yeah, totally forgot what we're doing.
Speaker C:Do you guys want to hear.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker C:A metal.
Speaker C:Because it's not a thing.
Speaker C:That's super common, but do you want to hear a song that is also just a diss track about a whole sub genre of heavy metal music?
Speaker A:Oh, sure.
Speaker A:But then I have a diss track about Vinnie Vincent.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker D:Oh, yeah.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker B:All right.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker D:You go.
Speaker A:You're okay.
Speaker B:Corey.
Speaker B:Corey.
Speaker B:Oh, my God, forgot your name.
Speaker E:Rory.
Speaker A:Rory's mailbag.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker C:I'm just kidding.
Speaker C:So there is a band.
Speaker C:I think it's just like District.
Speaker C:So the band is called.
Speaker C:They're called Lich King.
Speaker D:Oh, nice.
Speaker A:Oh, black.
Speaker A:Yes, I know that.
Speaker A:I know the song you're gonna play.
Speaker C:Yeah, the song is called.
Speaker C:Is called Black Metal Sucks.
Speaker C:And the lyrics are just kind of.
Speaker C:They're.
Speaker C:And.
Speaker C:And I'm not a much of a listener to black metal, but I have been trying.
Speaker C:I haven't, you know, with like Kiss widening my.
Speaker C:Broadening my horizons.
Speaker C:So I don't know, it's just.
Speaker C:It's just kind of a fun song.
Speaker C:You might.
Speaker C:I mean, if she does, you'll want to put lyrics on if they're available there.
Speaker C:I think you'll.
Speaker C:You'll get a kick out.
Speaker C:All right.
Speaker B:Hit and go.
Speaker D:Oh, there ain't no way the church is over dead let's go just to God so they get painted like a clown awesome weather our dance was one thing to be loud Paris crying down on their own songs doesn't help Making money mad.
Speaker D:Cause that's original.
Speaker D:If you hate your music then it get hurt to go Limous asshole fucking a fuss and show why are you getting hit by a bust?
Speaker D:Why?
Speaker B:That's pretty good.
Speaker C:It's.
Speaker C:Yeah, it's funny.
Speaker C:I don't.
Speaker C:I don't.
Speaker C:I don't support.
Speaker C:But I. I think it's funny.
Speaker B:Okay, what's.
Speaker B:What's the Vinnie Vincent diss track?
Speaker B:Because you really got my attention now.
Speaker A:Oh, I'm surprised you don't know this offhand.
Speaker A:Slaughter Burning Bridges.
Speaker B:Oh, burning Bridges.
Speaker B:Of course they know that one.
Speaker B:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:I just don't know if Rory knows it.
Speaker B:Probably not.
Speaker A:This is some lore.
Speaker C:Some lore.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So I Don't.
Speaker A:Did we.
Speaker A:Did we want to listen to the rest of Black metal sucks.
Speaker A:Are we just talking over it?
Speaker B:I would just talk over it.
Speaker D:Okay.
Speaker B:Because I want to hear.
Speaker C:So this is some deep lore.
Speaker C:Wait, how.
Speaker C:How.
Speaker C:How old does everybody think I actually am?
Speaker C:What year were you born in, Sean?
Speaker B:1838?
Speaker A:1770.
Speaker E:Okay, 17.
Speaker C: And you said: Speaker C:Yes, 91.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:Interesting.
Speaker C:How old do you think I am?
Speaker C:When was I born?
Speaker A:Hold on.
Speaker A:I need to increase my screen size and kind of look at your face again, but.
Speaker A:Oh, wait, well, I. Yeah, thank you.
Speaker A:You're definitely older than you look.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker C:O. Rude.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker C:No, I'm just kidding.
Speaker F:Rude.
Speaker A:That's a compliment.
Speaker C:I'm just kidding.
Speaker C:I'm just kidding.
Speaker A:Because if you're.
Speaker A:You're.
Speaker A:You're close to my age.
Speaker A:So millennials, we already go into the world.
Speaker A:Like, we saw a bunch of people blow up on tv and nothing was ever good after that, so we just kind of accepted it and don't really age as fast as some of our counterparts.
Speaker A:So I'm gonna say you're like.
Speaker A:You're either like 25 or 32.
Speaker A:I don't know which.
Speaker A:Somewhere there.
Speaker C:25.
Speaker C:No, no, it's.
Speaker C:It's.
Speaker B:I don't even know how old he is.
Speaker C: I was born in October of: Speaker D:Wow.
Speaker G:Yeah.
Speaker A:Okay, so I'm actually October 91, so a year apart.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker C:Great things.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:See, there we go.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker C:And then there's this guy.
Speaker C:Look at him.
Speaker C:He's falling apart over there.
Speaker C:Skeletor over here.
Speaker A:Grandma in the anti.
Speaker B:I used to be in the he man cartoon.
Speaker C:Always.
Speaker C:There's a song on it where I think it's like, grandma coming for tea.
Speaker C:And I'm like.
Speaker C:I'm.
Speaker C:I'm just.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah.
Speaker A:I'm just glad.
Speaker C:I'm just glad that he.
Speaker C:He's willing to.
Speaker B:He does the three different voices.
Speaker C:Yeah, he's just doing, like, hello.
Speaker A:And then building over.
Speaker C:Oh, my God.
Speaker C:This is.
Speaker A:Yeah, there's like a.
Speaker A:That's on the sequel or the.
Speaker A:Or the third one, right?
Speaker A:There's.
Speaker C:Yeah, I think there's one on.
Speaker C:Was it them with.
Speaker C:Where.
Speaker C:Like the.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Tea.
Speaker C:Yeah, Tea time.
Speaker B:Tea time.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker C:There's a video my friend showed where he's just narrating like, some little, like, short story, and he's got candles and he's, you know, he's got the makeup, and you're like.
Speaker C:He's.
Speaker C:He's just.
Speaker C:Is kind of an interesting.
Speaker C:Like, I would.
Speaker C:I would want listen to him read a book to me, like.
Speaker B:Oh, God, yeah.
Speaker C:As it's very.
Speaker C:Like, he's not doing, like, super creepy voices always, but he is very, like, intense.
Speaker B:And he has the tax.
Speaker B:And from where he's.
Speaker B:I can't, like, he's do it.
Speaker B:But he's got an interesting.
Speaker C:Denmark.
Speaker C:He's from Denmark.
Speaker B:I think so.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker C:Denmark.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:So gl.
Speaker B:Not Hal Jordan.
Speaker B:Can you tell the Burning Bridges story?
Speaker B:I. I love this story.
Speaker B:I love the entire Slaughter story and how they came to be story.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker B:And I. I've seen them a bunch of times, too.
Speaker B:Like, they're.
Speaker B:I do.
Speaker B:Like Slaughter.
Speaker A:Yeah, I do too.
Speaker A:They were maybe like, my third or fourth, probably fourth concert or something.
Speaker A:I saw them when I was like, in maybe 12 or 13 on one of those.
Speaker A:They used to have these Rock Never Stops tours.
Speaker A:So it was Slaughter, I think Rat with Jizzy Pearl singing and John Corabi in the band, which is like.
Speaker A:Nobody fucking remembers.
Speaker A:The Jizzy Pearl was fronting Rat.
Speaker A:It was them with Vince Neil solo.
Speaker A:So this is before Motley Crue got back together and Slaughter was on the bill.
Speaker A:So Slaughter comes basically out of the Ash of the Vinnie Vincent Invasion.
Speaker B:Oh, nice.
Speaker B:Nice joke there.
Speaker D:Ash is too.
Speaker F:Ash is.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker D:So.
Speaker E:Sorry.
Speaker A:So, Rory, after.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So after.
Speaker A:After Vinnie Vincent leaves Kiss, he forms Vinnie Vincent Invasion.
Speaker A:It's basically just a lot of crazy wheelie D shredding that, like, is just all over the place.
Speaker A:And it doesn't really take off much of anywhere.
Speaker A:He goes through a couple.
Speaker A:He goes through Robert Fleischman, I believe.
Speaker B:Is the first Journey for a period of time.
Speaker A:Yes, that's right.
Speaker A:As did Jeff.
Speaker A:Scott Soto was one of my favorite singers ever.
Speaker A:We gotta get to get to some Biker Mice on Mars kind of shit at some point anyway.
Speaker A:So, yeah, so like, three of the members of Vinnie Vincent on the second album basically then form Slaughter after that.
Speaker A:After their stint in Vinnie Vincent Invasion and after dealing with Vinnie Vincent, they're just like, no, we can't do this.
Speaker A:And on their first album, they have this song, Burning Bridges.
Speaker A:And if the whole song is basically about Vinnie Vincent, how, like, insufferable he is.
Speaker A:But the bridge.
Speaker A:There's a spoken bridge on it that is very funny.
Speaker A:It's just like.
Speaker A:It's Mark Slaughter in his very, like, shrieky falsetto doing a whole skit in the middle of it.
Speaker C:Okay, we gotta get.
Speaker B:We gotta play that.
Speaker B:But in just.
Speaker B:Oh, man.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker B:Have you read this?
Speaker A:I have not.
Speaker B:So this is the drummer from Vinnie Vincent Invasion.
Speaker G:Yeah.
Speaker B:Bobby Bobby Rock.
Speaker A:Bobby Rock.
Speaker C:These beefcakes around here.
Speaker C:Wow.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker B:So he.
Speaker A:That's why Paul Stanley survived in the 80s.
Speaker C:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker B:But he was the drummer in Vinnie Vincent Invasion.
Speaker B:But they did replace him because they got a deal.
Speaker B:They got the deal Chrysalis saying, look, we signed Vinnie Vincent, but we're firing Vinnie Vincent and we're gonna keep his band.
Speaker B:And then you guys have to do something with it.
Speaker B:So they got rid of Bobby Rock because they wanted someone prettier, and they got Blast Elias, who is ridiculously pretty.
Speaker B:Like.
Speaker A:Yeah, he is.
Speaker A:He still looks the same.
Speaker B:Oh, he still looks the same.
Speaker B:Still looks exactly the same.
Speaker B:So they got.
Speaker B:They do.
Speaker A:Wasn't he in Blue Man Group for a minute?
Speaker B:He was, yes.
Speaker B:Crazy, right?
Speaker B:Or was Bobby Rock in Blue Man Group?
Speaker B:No, it was Blast.
Speaker A:I'm pretty sure it was last.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker C:I mean, I guess he.
Speaker C:Yeah, I guess he's a beefcake.
Speaker C:Yeah, he's not.
Speaker C:He's not very pretty.
Speaker B:But this.
Speaker B:This book does chronicle the story of that transition.
Speaker A:Oh, wow.
Speaker B:But Bobby Rock, instead of joining Slaughter, ended up joining Nelson.
Speaker G:Yeah.
Speaker B:And he said Nelson partied harder than anyone.
Speaker G:Wow.
Speaker B:Oh, yeah.
Speaker B:They were.
Speaker A:Good to know.
Speaker D:Bad.
Speaker D:Nice.
Speaker A:I kind of for.
Speaker A:I forgot that they were on the Bill and Ted soundtrack that they recorded the Power Tool song.
Speaker A:I. I came across that the other, like, a couple weeks ago.
Speaker A:Just.
Speaker A:I totally forgot that that was a thing.
Speaker A:That was random.
Speaker A:I've never really been a big Nelson fan.
Speaker A: on fan, but I did see them in: Speaker B:Okay, cool.
Speaker B:Yeah, I was gonna go to Rocklahoma.
Speaker A:They used to be great.
Speaker A:They're not.
Speaker B:They're not good.
Speaker A:I don't know if you're.
Speaker A:They're basically.
Speaker A:It's basically all butt rock.
Speaker A:I don't know if you're a fan.
Speaker C:Of that butt rock.
Speaker A:What is like Papa Roach, you know?
Speaker B:Divorced dad Rock.
Speaker A:Three Days Grace.
Speaker A:Divorced, Divorce Dad Rock.
Speaker B:Okay, I'm gonna try to find the.
Speaker B:The lyric.
Speaker A:Oh, playing the song.
Speaker B:Yeah, yeah, I'm playing it now.
Speaker B:I don't know if you can see the words.
Speaker B:It's blatantly in.
Speaker D:No, now I tell you that the story true.
Speaker D:Run back to you, babe.
Speaker B:I gotta get to that talky part.
Speaker B:Yeah, it's probably around here.
Speaker A:It's gonna be after this.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Oh, here it is.
Speaker B:This.
Speaker B:Here it is.
Speaker D:So you want to do another solo, huh?
Speaker D:Well, not here, pal.
Speaker D:So y' all want to go eat some dinner, eh?
Speaker D:What's that?
Speaker D:Charges from the Record company.
Speaker D:You left your wallet at home.
Speaker D:Oh no.
Speaker F:You got a headache.
Speaker D:Maybe I can get to some aspect, huh?
Speaker A:I just love after that.
Speaker D:Wait a second.
Speaker B:He's got that weird vibrato.
Speaker B:It's like some people go.
Speaker B:He's like,.
Speaker E:That was creepy.
Speaker E:Did you ever listen to interviews with Mark?
Speaker E:Did you ever listen to any interviews with Mark?
Speaker E:Hi, I'm Mark Slaughter from Slaughter.
Speaker E:I'm here with my buddy Danish Drum and we're promoting Stick it to you Live, our second album.
Speaker C:He's a little soft spoken.
Speaker E:He's kind of soft spoken.
Speaker C:Here, put.
Speaker C:Put it on the list.
Speaker C:New.
Speaker C:Another band.
Speaker C:We got like three band names.
Speaker C:Manslaughter.
Speaker C:There might be a band named it, but here's the.
Speaker C:Here's the caveat.
Speaker C:We pronounce it Man's Laughter.
Speaker B:Man's Laughter.
Speaker C:There we go.
Speaker B:There we go.
Speaker B:Man Laughter.
Speaker C:If there's a band name it, we say, no, no, we're man.
Speaker C:We just throw in an apostrophe that we never had before and we're good.
Speaker E:There you go.
Speaker B:Man's Laughter.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:And then we have that guy who's still going to be our singer.
Speaker C:Hey, everybody.
Speaker C:We're having.
Speaker E:Hey everybody.
Speaker E:Mark Slaughter from Men's Laughter.
Speaker B:Romance.
Speaker G:Laughter.
Speaker C:We're just having a good time.
Speaker E:I'm with my buddy Dana, Dana Strum.
Speaker E:Friends with Randy Rhodes.
Speaker E:He was friends with Randy Rhodes.
Speaker C:Yeah, he was.
Speaker B:Sorry, I don't know what.
Speaker B:I don't have no idea where I pulled that out of.
Speaker B:I don't even know if that's what he sounds like.
Speaker C:I just imagine you've got a lot of good.
Speaker C:A lot of good characters.
Speaker B:I think Mark Slaughter has to come back to the metal shop.
Speaker C:I think he.
Speaker C:I think.
Speaker C:I think that's the next.
Speaker C:That's.
Speaker E:Listen, Metalard.
Speaker E:I used to sing in a band called Slaughter.
Speaker E:I know it sounds like a death metal band, but it's actually just a pop rock band.
Speaker B:And then he's like.
Speaker C:With lyrics.
Speaker A:There is the Canadian thrash bed also called Slaughter.
Speaker B:Yes, yes, exactly.
Speaker B:I remember it's like Slaughter and like, oh, watching the video go, oh, what's this?
Speaker B:That doesn't match.
Speaker C:I mean there's.
Speaker C:I mean I have a band I was gonna play like that where there's a. I was mentioning to you, I found a band called Incubus.
Speaker C:I could.
Speaker C:I can confirm it does not sound like the band.
Speaker C:It is not sound at all like the band you're thinking.
Speaker C:No, I know.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Cuz they changed their name later to Opprobrium because of the oh, yeah.
Speaker A:So they.
Speaker A:They started releasing material.
Speaker A:They had to change their name.
Speaker A:Incubus, the original thrash Incubus from the late 80s.
Speaker B:Oh, so they're actually early.
Speaker A:Or is it early 90s?
Speaker C:I'm.
Speaker C:I'm gonna look at the information I have.
Speaker C:I thought this band was newer.
Speaker C:This.
Speaker C:This is.
Speaker C:This band is the album that.
Speaker C:They only have one album.
Speaker C:At least here.
Speaker C: It was from like: Speaker B:I see a band here called Incubus and they have one subscriber.
Speaker C:Oh, wow.
Speaker B:And this song is called We Don't Care.
Speaker C:I like it.
Speaker B:I'm gonna play it for a second.
Speaker B:Oh, yeah, it's our trap.
Speaker B:Never mind.
Speaker B:That was a trap.
Speaker B:Akbar set us up.
Speaker C:Okay, well, I guess they're not there, because I'm assuming the first one is.
Speaker B:What was that other thing?
Speaker B:We looked up, the guy's face showed up.
Speaker B:What was the band we were playing?
Speaker C:Oh, yeah, we were.
Speaker C:We were looking.
Speaker C:We were playing Dagger and there was like.
Speaker C:It had the album and then there was this, like, EP with like some dude in a.
Speaker C:Like, with.
Speaker C:There it is.
Speaker C:It's like the artist.
Speaker E:This guy.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker D:Okay.
Speaker B:Okay, I got.
Speaker B:I gotta show you what this looks like.
Speaker B:So when we pulled up Dagger, this is what came up.
Speaker C:You're like, what the hell?
Speaker E:What the.
Speaker C:But then there's this.
Speaker C:Go down.
Speaker C:Because there's like this ep like.
Speaker B:Like as my eyes can see.
Speaker B:Okay, we gotta play a song.
Speaker C:You gotta play.
Speaker B:Okay, we're gonna play Dagger as my eyes can see and we're all gonna laugh, I think.
Speaker B:I don't know.
Speaker B:This guy looks like he's.
Speaker C:Unless he's like.
Speaker C:This is him.
Speaker C:This is.
Speaker E:He looks like.
Speaker B:He looks like a rapper from New Brun, New Brunswick, Canada, you know.
Speaker B:Hey, I'm going to make you some fish and chips.
Speaker C:Like an East Coast.
Speaker B:East Coaster.
Speaker B:I come from the East Coast.
Speaker B:Okay, here's a song.
Speaker B:There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known.
Speaker C:It could have.
Speaker C:Something can happen.
Speaker C:It could still.
Speaker B:Something can happen.
Speaker B:We can turn this around.
Speaker C:Like something could.
Speaker C:I'm worried.
Speaker C:Oh, no.
Speaker D:Retreat.
Speaker A:Oh, my God.
Speaker B:You know what?
Speaker B:Not as good as the other dagger man.
Speaker C:Now, I don't want to say mean and hurtful things, but I will say that that song did make me think of a Dagger.
Speaker B:I'm adding it to the playlist.
Speaker C:That's all I'm gonna say.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker B:It's now.
Speaker B:This song is now on our Spotify playlist.
Speaker C:Well, it's on one.
Speaker C:Do I have to put it on?
Speaker C:No, I don't wanna okay.
Speaker B:We should play a song.
Speaker B:I know it's late.
Speaker B:Well, it's.
Speaker B:It's an hour later for you.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker B:So we should.
Speaker B:We should sign off with.
Speaker B:With the track.
Speaker B:But I do want to thank you for coming on.
Speaker B:This was actually a lot of fun.
Speaker B:Let's add a character to everything.
Speaker B:I've been following you since.
Speaker C:No, keep going.
Speaker C:Sorry.
Speaker B:I've been following you since you showed up on Pot of Thunder.
Speaker B:And I'm like, who the fuck is this gal?
Speaker B:Because she's.
Speaker E:Fuck.
Speaker B:She's stealing the show.
Speaker B:And I messaged Nick the next day going, who the hell is this?
Speaker B:And when is she coming on again?
Speaker B:And I said, she upped your game.
Speaker B:Like, you all had to.
Speaker B:Had to step up because you were.
Speaker B:You were on point.
Speaker B:I don't know if you like what you did before, if you did, like, a bunch, like, 50 squats or something to get ready.
Speaker B:I'm not sure what you did, but you rate.
Speaker D:And.
Speaker B:And Nick goes, wow, that.
Speaker B:He said the energy felt really good with Georgia.
Speaker B:She was great.
Speaker E:Blah, blah.
Speaker B:And it's.
Speaker B:When are you having honor again?
Speaker B:Having her on again?
Speaker B:And when he said, well, I don't know.
Speaker B:You know, we do.
Speaker B:We're starting to do guests.
Speaker B:I'm like, well, screw you.
Speaker B:I'm going to bring her on.
Speaker B:I'm going to reach out to her, and I'm going to get her on my show.
Speaker B:If you're not going to put her on right away, we're going to.
Speaker E:We're going to.
Speaker B:We're going to steal her.
Speaker B:And when you came on, it was the most chaotic episode that we ever had.
Speaker C:I've been.
Speaker C:I've been kind of waiting for this.
Speaker C:This one for a long time, because after last time, I was just like, every so often, I'm like, are we.
Speaker C:Are we getting in?
Speaker C:It's like, are we getting HR down here?
Speaker C:Slash, what?
Speaker C:Am I gonna have to violate something?
Speaker C:Am I gonna have to start, like, going.
Speaker C:Going into the work without my pants on?
Speaker B:Maybe the HR will show up and give me.
Speaker C:I got in the animal trough again, and I puked again on the floor.
Speaker C:It's like, stop drinking there.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:We're just trying to get Georgia back.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker B:But I'm really grateful for you coming on.
Speaker B:It's fun again.
Speaker B:If, like.
Speaker B:Like, we.
Speaker B:I said this before.
Speaker B:If you ever start a podcast, Mm.
Speaker B:You're gonna have, like, a legion of fans that will tune in because your take on music is awesome.
Speaker C:I have a song if you want to end it there.
Speaker C:Actually, let her talk There.
Speaker B:Well, yeah.
Speaker B:You should let her talk.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Come on.
Speaker C:Yeah, I've done it.
Speaker C:I've done it.
Speaker A:I really appreciate.
Speaker A:I. I appreciate all those kind words.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker A:Hold on.
Speaker A:I need to put in my other headphone.
Speaker C:She's only half listening.
Speaker A:Sorry, the batteries.
Speaker C:That's fair.
Speaker A:I was trying to preserve the battery,.
Speaker G:So.
Speaker A:Yeah, no, I have.
Speaker A:I had fun, a lot of fun.
Speaker A:The last time I was on here.
Speaker A:I have fun with the Pot of Thunder guys.
Speaker A:I just.
Speaker A:I really love discussing this stuff with people and, like, just kind of.
Speaker A:It seems like a very natural environment to let loose, and I really enjoy just the vibe with you guys and, like, shooting the shit and sharing songs and, like, that's just kind of my thing.
Speaker A:That's my jam.
Speaker A:That's kind of what it's all about.
Speaker A:Even in air guitar, I'm always sure when I'm picking songs, I'm, like, trying to do the song justice.
Speaker A:Like, I'm trying to share great music with people.
Speaker A:When I pick my songs, like, I genuinely want to be into it.
Speaker A:So it's like, you know, podcasts, like, you guys and Pot of Thunder and, like, just so many cool people that I've met through these communities, too, has been so amazing, and it's great, especially when I can get, like, people who also get what I do outside of it in air guitar.
Speaker A:Because sometimes we get people that just, you know, shit on it for no reason because it's silly.
Speaker A:Like.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's silly.
Speaker A:That's the point.
Speaker A:Like, as the kids say, like, have some whimsy in your life, you know?
Speaker A:But, yeah, I know.
Speaker A:I appreciate all the love and the.
Speaker A:And the company.
Speaker A:Like, the company's great.
Speaker A:Like, the.
Speaker A:That's kind of what keeps everything going, is, like, what keeps the energy at a good level is just the banter and the natural attitudes that we have and the taste and the way we can bounce off each other.
Speaker A:So anytime you get a good combination, like, it's just gonna be awesome.
Speaker A:And this has been a really great time.
Speaker A:You've shown HR A really great.
Speaker A:A really great time visiting down here and looking forward to the next infractions.
Speaker A:Winklet.
Speaker C:Oh, yeah.
Speaker C:So we're not fired.
Speaker C:Yay.
Speaker A:You are not fired.
Speaker E:For now.
Speaker B:That was close.
Speaker D:In fact.
Speaker A:In fact, you boys may have, even during some sick time, you might actually be able to take off.
Speaker A:Sick now, if you're actually sick.
Speaker A:Oh, especially now that I know about the trough, you know?
Speaker B:Yeah, my tummy's not feeling good.
Speaker A:Yeah, you might.
Speaker A:If you need.
Speaker A:If you need to Take some sick time.
Speaker A:Please do.
Speaker A:Look after yourselves and your health.
Speaker C:We will do that.
Speaker B:Oh, we will.
Speaker B:Hey, can we get weekends off now?
Speaker G:We haven't.
Speaker B:We haven't had a day often.
Speaker A:Hey, listen, listen.
Speaker A:Let's don't take advantage of me, okay?
Speaker C:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker C:She can still fire us.
Speaker A:It's only fair.
Speaker B:Yeah, but just remember, if you ever get in shit with the Metal Lord, throw a Desmond Child lyric at him.
Speaker B:He won't know what to do.
Speaker A:Yes, absolutely, I did.
Speaker A:I'm sorry to interrupt and break this, but do you mind if before Rory's closing song, if we pull out the Jody Bon Jovi song?
Speaker B:Oh, yeah, we talked about that and we forgot.
Speaker B:I apologize.
Speaker B:The Albuquerque Jody Bon Jovi.
Speaker B:That's called continuity.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker A:N G, I O, V, I. Oh.
Speaker B:Oh, it's spelled out Bongiovium.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:Full album.
Speaker B:Oh, my God.
Speaker B:Okay, so what?
Speaker B:Oh my God.
Speaker B:She looks like John.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker B:Do you have a particular song you wanted to hear on here?
Speaker A:Honestly?
Speaker A:Take it easy on yourselves and just do Somebody to Love.
Speaker A:The.
Speaker A:The COVID Oh, okay.
Speaker B:Like the.
Speaker B:Is this the Queen cover?
Speaker A:I'm assuming Jefferson Airplane.
Speaker B:Sorry.
Speaker B:Jefferson Airplane.
Speaker B:Okay, here we go.
Speaker B:Guitar is interesting.
Speaker E:Hey,.
Speaker A:Gotta get the gang vocal in there.
Speaker B:Play the funky music,.
Speaker F:Look like you put in your head.
Speaker D:Baby, I bring it all away.
Speaker F:Don't you want somebody to love?
Speaker F:Need somebody to love, to love.
Speaker D:Somebody to love.
Speaker F:You better find somebody to love.
Speaker F:Yes, and down your breath.
Speaker F:Baby, Don't you want somebody to love me?
Speaker F:Somebody to love.
Speaker D:Somebody to love.
Speaker F:You better find somebody to love.
Speaker C:There you go.
Speaker B:Oh, big ending.
Speaker C:That was something.
Speaker B:That was something.
Speaker B:So, okay, so I went to her website.
Speaker A:Wait, she has a website?
Speaker A:You mean like her Wikipedia page?
Speaker B:No, it's her website.
Speaker B:Oh.
Speaker B:I come from the very town.
Speaker B:Should I do this in the Mark Slaughter voice or.
Speaker C:You should probably do it in the Mark Slaughter voice.
Speaker B:I come from a very talented family.
Speaker B:My first cousin is Jon Bon Jovi.
Speaker B:My third cousin is Mario Alonza.
Speaker B:And my grandfather was a self taught musician.
Speaker B:I have been involved in singing, performing, playing guitar and writing since I was a teen.
Speaker B:I have been signed to a manager who also managed leann Rimes and Alanis Morissette.
Speaker B:I was signed to Warner Chapel for my songwriting and traveled to Nashville in New York to work with some amazing gold record songwriters.
Speaker B:I've released seven records, have co produced other records as well.
Speaker B:I have produced all my stage shows for myself as well as my students.
Speaker B:I now have 50 plus students a week.
Speaker B:I'm a junior teacher who studied.
Speaker B:Wow.
Speaker B:So she's made a career for herself.
Speaker B:So good for you.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker A:Good for her.
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:Honestly, I do kind of like that cover is kind of a guilty pleasure.
Speaker A:Like, it sounds like Cyndi Lauper trying to do something more.
Speaker A:Yeah, but it's not bad.
Speaker A:Like, it's very well wor.
Speaker A:It's very well arranged and obviously, because it's like, there's a power team behind it.
Speaker A:She's got, who's, like, familiar there.
Speaker B:Like, the guitar was probably pretty, pretty strong.
Speaker A:Yeah, I, I, I know.
Speaker A:It's like an allstar, like, studio musician, like, very experienced guy, like a Dick.
Speaker B:Wagner or Steve Hunter or those sorts.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:It was like, you know, if you got, like, oh, Dan Huff is playing guitar on this.
Speaker A:It's like that kind of.
Speaker B:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:You know, just really very strong, talented musicians.
Speaker A:But, like, it's kind of good.
Speaker A:It's, you know, I mean, it's, it's,.
Speaker B:It's serviceable, for sure.
Speaker B:Like, there's nothing wrong with it.
Speaker A:Yeah, Yeah.
Speaker C:I mean, I didn't mind it.
Speaker A:It's, it's fun.
Speaker D:Like, that's right.
Speaker B:I hit my head.
Speaker B:Oh, that's okay.
Speaker A:You could take sick time for that now.
Speaker B:Yeah, There we go.
Speaker C:He's got an extra week.
Speaker G:Damn.
Speaker C:And then just now I got a.
Speaker B:Week that was, I, I didn't even know this existed.
Speaker B:So this was actually pretty, pretty cool, actually.
Speaker G:Like that, huh?
Speaker B:I did like that.
Speaker C:It was cool.
Speaker A:Nice.
Speaker C:It was fun.
Speaker A:Happy to share stuff like that.
Speaker A:I always love sharing like that.
Speaker B:I, I get, I get off on hearing stuff or learning stuff about music that I never knew before.
Speaker B:Like, I'm definitely.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah,.
Speaker B:Same now.
Speaker B:When I went in tonight, I promised, oh, yes, I was gonna do a bunch of stuff and I didn't do anything.
Speaker A:Grievances.
Speaker B:Oh, the Guess who grievance.
Speaker B:So the guess who's from Winnipeg, as you may or may not know.
Speaker B:And Burton Cummings will remind you that the best thing that ever came out of Winnipeg was him.
Speaker B:He'll also remind you that there's buildings named after him here after he potentially.
Speaker B:And complain that there's no buildings named after him.
Speaker B:They eventually had to go around and name buildings after him.
Speaker B:He sued the Guess who.
Speaker B:Who.
Speaker B:He sold the name.
Speaker B:He sold the name off him.
Speaker B:And Randy Bachman sold the name of the Guess who to the drummer, whose name escapes me.
Speaker B:And the drummer toured the Guess who crossed the world, advertised it as the Guess who.
Speaker B:He might have used pictures of previous members of the Guess who like Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman and Kind of promoted the shows to indicate that they're probably going to play with us.
Speaker B:But they never actually played with the Guess who in that incarnation.
Speaker B:Instead they had Rudy Sarzo on bass and other rotating members in the Guess who.
Speaker A:God, what band has.
Speaker A:I'm sorry, God, what bands hasn't Rudy Sarz open?
Speaker B:He's been in every band, literally every band.
Speaker B:So anyway, so Randy, I've seen him.
Speaker A:With Grand Funk Railroad.
Speaker B:He did play, I think.
Speaker B:I'm sure he did play in Grandfather.
Speaker A:I know Bruce Kulik there because I saw.
Speaker A:Yeah, he was in Grand Funk longer.
Speaker B:Than he was with Kiss.
Speaker B:Yeah, that's true.
Speaker A:Wow.
Speaker B:It's crazy.
Speaker A:Holy.
Speaker B:So anyway, so Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings never got along because Burton Cummings was drug guy and Randy Bachman was a religious.
Speaker B:He was a Mormon, I believe.
Speaker C:Was he Mormon?
Speaker B:He was Mormon, yeah.
Speaker B:So he didn't believe in smoking drugs, anything of any kind.
Speaker B:So they butted heads and that's when Randy Bachman left the band and it was Burton Cummings.
Speaker B:Guess who for years.
Speaker B:Anyway, years and years later, Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings decide, you know what, we're better together.
Speaker B:They decide to do a tour together.
Speaker D:We.
Speaker B:But they're not allowed to call themselves the Guess who because the drummer owns the name.
Speaker B:The Guess who because they sold it to him.
Speaker B:So they sue the Guess who.
Speaker B:Bachman and Cummings sue the Guess who saying you're misrepresenting the legacy of the band.
Speaker B:They win the lawsuit and they have to hand the name back to Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman.
Speaker B:So they played.
Speaker B:They just played the.
Speaker B:Whatever the Winnipeg arena is called nowadays.
Speaker B:I keep forgetting what they named these.
Speaker C:Well, it's rotated a bit.
Speaker B:So they play a sold out crowd.
Speaker B:Packed, packed house and perform for Winnipeg.
Speaker B:Their return to the Guess who and blah, blah, blah and advertising the real Guess who was touring.
Speaker B:But I noticed that only Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings are the only original Guess who members in the band.
Speaker B:So what about the other guys?
Speaker B:The real Guess who was touring again.
Speaker B:So I kind of.
Speaker B:My.
Speaker B:My gripe is you were complaining that it was false advertising that it was the original Guess who playing.
Speaker B:And it wasn't.
Speaker B:It was the drummer and a bunch and Rudy Sarzo and a bunch of other guys.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:So you were complaining what?
Speaker B:Your suits.
Speaker B:You sued them for misrepresentation that it was the Guess who.
Speaker B:But the Guess who was four guys and only two of the four guys are in there.
Speaker B:So you sued them for misuse of the name.
Speaker B:But then you're saying we're the real Guess Who.
Speaker B:But you're still only half the band.
Speaker B:Half the band.
Speaker B:So isn't that hypocritical to do that?
Speaker B:And it.
Speaker B:And it's because I've had interactions with Burton.
Speaker B:He is the biggest asshole douchebag.
Speaker B:Douche nozzle, actually, is what I would use.
Speaker B:I think that's a appropriate schnozzle.
Speaker B:Do schnozzle.
Speaker B:He's a.
Speaker B:A hypocrite.
Speaker B:He doesn't do things to promote Winnipeg.
Speaker B:He only does things to promote himself.
Speaker B:And if you're not gonna kiss his ass, then he doesn't want to talk to you.
Speaker B:That's kind of thing.
Speaker B:So I.
Speaker B:Thoughts, Georgia?
Speaker A:I had to look, you know, to see what the current touring.
Speaker A:Because I know I saw that the Guess who was coming on a tour near me with Don Felder.
Speaker A:So that made me like, look, look at this up.
Speaker A:And so I went on their website and it says when you get on there, taking it back to where the Guess who and the primary picture is Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings.
Speaker A:And it's just them two.
Speaker A:And the.
Speaker A:The website says Burton Cummings and Random and Randy Bachman two are together as the guest who for the first time in 23 years.
Speaker A:So I guess the thinking is just that they're the headline of any version of the Guess who.
Speaker A:That they might be the two most recognizable people who come out of the guest who is true.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:They both have, you know, their own esteemed catalogs and histories, especially Randy Bachman Bachmann Overdrive.
Speaker A:And so it's not unreasonable to think, okay, well, it's not the Guess who unless it's us.
Speaker A:So maybe it's kind of.
Speaker A:It's kind of the same argument of, like, any band.
Speaker A:I think this kind of just sounds like any band where there's more recognizable or more powerful or more like, you know, people like Creedon's Clearwater Revival without John Fogarty.
Speaker A:And they sue John Fogarty because the other guys think his solo music sounds too much like Creed Clearwater Revival.
Speaker B:But, like, when he wrote all the songs.
Speaker A:But Dr.
Speaker A:I Am Queens Clearwater.
Speaker B:Yeah, that was the stupidest lawsuit.
Speaker B:We're suing John Fogarty because he sounds like John Fogarty.
Speaker C:Yeah, that is stupid.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So I think it just kind of similar thinking to me.
Speaker A:We're like, you know, I can see the core ruling in their favor.
Speaker A:Maybe.
Speaker A:Like, I would.
Speaker A:I haven't seen, you know, I don't know, more.
Speaker A:More the details of, like, what exactly was brought as proof on either side.
Speaker A:But I would imagine that, like, the marketability and like, we are the faces of the guest who.
Speaker A:We are the most recognizable.
Speaker A:They're using our image.
Speaker A:Whereas on this website, it doesn't look like they're using the other people's image.
Speaker A:Because, like, why would they use.
Speaker A:Nobody knows their name.
Speaker A:But also, like.
Speaker A:Yeah, the thing is, like, they're not.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:It is hypocritical, but not without reason, I think, like, if you're looking at it from a business perspective, I can understand you having more legitimacy, you know, but it's.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Especially legally if they're, like, insinuating the other people are in it, you know?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:It's really.
Speaker A:It seems like this problem comes up with a lot of bands because it's also, like, at one point, does a band cease to be itself and instead is a cover band?
Speaker A:Yeah, like.
Speaker A:Like.
Speaker A:Like Foreigner.
Speaker B:Foreigner is the best example.
Speaker A:Foreigner is the prime example.
Speaker A:Like, Mick Jones was the only guy left, and he's not there anymore.
Speaker A:He's, like, doing, like.
Speaker A:Yeah, he's doing, like.
Speaker A:I don't know if he's, like, a stage manager for them or something.
Speaker A:He does some.
Speaker A:He's still part of the.
Speaker A:Yeah, he won't tour anymore.
Speaker A:Yeah, so that, like.
Speaker A:Okay, well, now the guitarist is the guy who used to be a backup singer, but we found out he could play guitar, too.
Speaker A:So now he's singing and he.
Speaker A:Or no, he was like, the backup guitarist and.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah, because.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah, because Kelly Keeling from Hurricane.
Speaker A:I'm sorry, not Keeling.
Speaker A:Kelly from Hurricane.
Speaker A:Hanson.
Speaker A:Yeah, Hanson.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker G:You.
Speaker B:You got me there.
Speaker B:But the singer.
Speaker B:But the singer for Hurricane, though, was.
Speaker A:The singer for A foreigner for, like, 20 years.
Speaker A:I didn't realize.
Speaker B:I didn't realize that was the same guy.
Speaker A:Really?
Speaker B:I didn't know that.
Speaker B:Wow.
Speaker B:I learned that today.
Speaker A:Yeah, he's.
Speaker A:I mean, I love Hurricane, and Kelly was amazing in the band, but he was just like, I'm in my 60s now.
Speaker A:Like, I want to retire.
Speaker A:I'm getting.
Speaker A:I've been doing this for 30, 40 years.
Speaker A:Like, I can't, you know?
Speaker A:So he decides to quit.
Speaker A:So now it's no guy that wasn't the original singer, but has been there for almost 30 years just in this band.
Speaker A:And one of the back.
Speaker A:And, like, now the.
Speaker A:The only, like, original guy is not there anymore.
Speaker A:So we have this guy that was doing, like, rhythm guitar, but.
Speaker A:Oh, he can actually really sing the song.
Speaker A:So now he's the singer.
Speaker A:I think that's how it works now.
Speaker A:And, like, now the most, like, veteran member is Jeff Pilsen.
Speaker A:Which is.
Speaker B:Oh, my God.
Speaker B:He was the bass player for Dawkin.
Speaker C:Oh, okay.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:He was also in War and Peace with Rush.
Speaker A:Russ Parrish, who later became known as Satchel in Steel Panther.
Speaker B:Oh, yeah, Steel Panthers.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:There's a favorite of Rory's.
Speaker C:There's a band.
Speaker C:Yeah, I've seen them.
Speaker A:Do you have opinions?
Speaker C:I've seen them live like three times.
Speaker A:I think I have seen them twice.
Speaker A:Sorry, go ahead.
Speaker C:There's a.
Speaker C:There's a band I want to play on here.
Speaker C:I keep forgetting to do that in the 90s, that.
Speaker C:I think it was meant to be like a super group or something, but it was.
Speaker C:Satchel was.
Speaker A:Tell me Fight.
Speaker C:Do you know Fight?
Speaker A:Oh, I thought you were going to say a different.
Speaker B:Oh, the Rob Halford Band.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker B:Wait, was Satchel.
Speaker C:I think he was doing guitar.
Speaker B:Oh, my God.
Speaker B:I didn't even know who he really he was at the time.
Speaker C:I guess that's like.
Speaker B:Like Fight was good.
Speaker B:I liked Fight.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:I haven't played, but I keep forgetting about it until now.
Speaker C:But I mean, you know what?
Speaker C:Of all the members, you know who I've.
Speaker C:I have met Lexi Fox in.
Speaker C:In real life.
Speaker B:Nice.
Speaker C:That's not.
Speaker C:It's not his real hair.
Speaker C:No, but it's.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker C:I don't know.
Speaker C:They're.
Speaker C:They're, they're like a fun band.
Speaker C:Like, I used to, you know, listen to them more like when I.
Speaker C:When they first came.
Speaker C:Like, when was it Feel the Steel was.
Speaker C:Was out.
Speaker C:Was.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker C:Like, that was like the high.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker C:Like, it's like one of my, you know, favorite hair metal bands.
Speaker C:Favorite hair metal albums in a way.
Speaker C:Just because it's like, it's just cheesy and just like some of the songs are good, like, really good.
Speaker D:But.
Speaker B:Well, they're great musicians.
Speaker B:Yeah, they are singers.
Speaker C:They're funny.
Speaker C:Like, like, you know, a lot of, like, off the cuff stuff and.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:I mean.
Speaker A:Oh, for sure.
Speaker C:I haven't followed them much in the last little while, but I mean, I've seen them a few times and yeah, they're.
Speaker C:They're all right, you know.
Speaker B:So what should we end with a fight song?
Speaker C:Yeah, that'd be.
Speaker C:I'm.
Speaker C:I'm.
Speaker C:Yeah, I'd be down with that.
Speaker B:Okay, real quick.
Speaker B:We have to.
Speaker B:We have to do this.
Speaker B:We have to promote the Patreon.
Speaker B:We're gonna thank our members.
Speaker C:Yes.
Speaker B:Riggum, Sam Thompson, Ruby.
Speaker C:Oh, Rigam.
Speaker C:I thought it was like an acronym.
Speaker B:What's an acronym?
Speaker B:Rgm.
Speaker B:Well, I don't pronounce It Rigam.
Speaker B:So Riggum, Sam Thompson, Ruby Tony Griggs, Corey Morissette, Kevin Brown, and Danny Pabst deliver in the news.
Speaker B:That guy Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:See, it's stuck in your head, Correct?
Speaker D:Yes.
Speaker B:Danny Pabst actually went to go see Tom Keefer play, and there was talk of us rushing to get a T shirt made.
Speaker B:That's.
Speaker B:That's.
Speaker B:That said Danny Pabst better than Pat's dogs or something.
Speaker B:I don't know.
Speaker B:He was gonna bring that.
Speaker B:I think that's what they should have done.
Speaker B:But it happened all really quick.
Speaker B:But Kiefer still sounds great, apparently.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:Because I'm, like, in love with Tom Kiefer.
Speaker A:Yeah, he still.
Speaker A:He puts.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:He, like, sweats out his entire body, like, every single performance.
Speaker A:He entirely leaves everything on the stage.
Speaker A:He really.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:He's such a good showman and has been for past 20 years.
Speaker A:I've been seeing him.
Speaker A:He's just so good.
Speaker A:I. I did get to meet Cinderella except for Fred Corey after a show, because Fred Corey just, like, hit on the bus, but everybody else signed my copy of Long Cold Winter, so I do have that.
Speaker A:That was really cool.
Speaker A:I love that.
Speaker A:That's my favorite cinema.
Speaker D:I love.
Speaker B:It is.
Speaker B:I'm discovering, still climbing right now through the Mixtapes From Hell show.
Speaker A:Nice.
Speaker A:I would love to.
Speaker A:I. I would love if they.
Speaker A:If they did guests.
Speaker A:I would absolutely kill to, like, discuss Cinderella on a podcast.
Speaker A:Like, that sounds so cool.
Speaker B:I can hook you up.
Speaker E:I know.
Speaker D:If you listen.
Speaker E:Yeah, see, it's so.
Speaker B:It's so hooky.
Speaker A:I mean, I'm.
Speaker A:I'm offering myself as a guest to discuss Cinderella.
Speaker A:Nobody.
Speaker A:I. I look, I. I'm just amazed somebody's talking about Cinderella on a podcast.
Speaker B:Well, we did.
Speaker B:We did.
Speaker B:Or not?
Speaker E:We.
Speaker B:Sorry.
Speaker B:Those at SeatGeek and Fast Fred did.
Speaker B:Did a Cinderella episode.
Speaker A:Oh, did they?
Speaker B:Oh, yeah.
Speaker B:It was.
Speaker B:It was a great.
Speaker E:Wow.
Speaker A:Maybe that AI is okay for something.
Speaker B:It is in some cases.
Speaker B:Usually not.
Speaker B:But they did it.
Speaker B:They did an episode, and the people that put the Mixtapes from Hell show together, they're like, hell, why is there not a Cinderella podcast?
Speaker B:So they said, well, let's do that.
Speaker B:So that it kind of spawned.
Speaker B:It spawned that show.
Speaker B:So, you know, AI is good.
Speaker A:Sometimes they are just so, so good.
Speaker A:They are like, top.
Speaker A:Literally, man, I can't show you my screen on my phone because I'm doing this from my phone, but my lock screen is a picture of Cinderella.
Speaker B:Nice.
Speaker B:Do you get his little guns, like he does on night.
Speaker B:So he's got the pictures.
Speaker A:Oh, no, but actually, that's funny.
Speaker A:When I was a kid, I.
Speaker A:Because I've always been weird.
Speaker A: So in the mid-: Speaker A:And I remember being so amazed that there was a Night Song shirt in Hot Topic when I would go to the mall with my friends.
Speaker A:And I was like, whoa.
Speaker A:And I bought it immediately.
Speaker A:And my mom would be like, why does Tom.
Speaker A:Why does that guy.
Speaker A:I was like, oh, Tom Keefer.
Speaker A:She's like, why does he only have one leg?
Speaker A:Because on the album cover for Night songs, he has like.
Speaker A:He has a scarf that's hanging from his pants if you look.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And it's like it's covering one of his legs.
Speaker A:So she always used to call him a pirate.
Speaker A:So when I.
Speaker A:Whenever I like wore that shirt to school, she would be like, oh, the pirate guy.
Speaker B:And she would like the pirate guy.
Speaker A:The pirate guy with one legacy.
Speaker A:You know, the hair metal pirate look.
Speaker A:Like it was a thing.
Speaker A:So him.
Speaker A:But like he only.
Speaker A:You can only see one leg.
Speaker A:And then I saw today Mark Weiss, who took that picture, Famous photographer.
Speaker A:He took that picture and there was a caption that was like a quote from Tom Keefer.
Speaker A:And then in the comments of that photo, Phil Lewis from La Guns said something like, hey, Tom, I'm glad your leg grew back.
Speaker D:I was like, what?
Speaker A:So is this just like a common thing?
Speaker A:Every week is like making fun of him because he the one legged, thinking that he looks like he.
Speaker A:He only has one leg on the COVID of Night, so.
Speaker B:Oh my God.
Speaker B:Oh, I love.
Speaker B:I love it.
Speaker B:Okay, I'm going to.
Speaker B:I'm going to send you a link to SeatGeeks Cinderella episode and then I'll also send you the link to the mixtapes from hell, which is a great show.
Speaker B:It's probably my nice show right now.
Speaker B:I just.
Speaker B:I look forward to it every week and it's just pure nerdery.
Speaker B:Just nerding out over Cinderella.
Speaker C:It's great.
Speaker A:Oh, that sounds exactly up my alley.
Speaker B:All right.
Speaker A:That's like what I was doing in my teens.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:Yes, let's do it.
Speaker D:Perfect.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:I'm gonna take us out with a mortal sin by fight.
Speaker B:Is that good?
Speaker C:That's perfect.
Speaker A:Perfect.
Speaker B:Okay, here we go.
Speaker B:And I'll talk to you off air later.
Speaker A:Will do it.
Speaker G:Tong by the rap that burns like a buried flame crossed in my heart from this voice that's a nagging pain Stand to the book of God with a twisted fear Help me from being damned by a righteous fear it's immortal sin.
Speaker G:It's immortal sin?
Speaker G:It's immortal sin.
Speaker G:Shame with a crooked stare that conceals a lie?
Speaker G:Choked on the love that's judged from.
Speaker A:An evil eye.
Speaker G:Lost in a world of hurt Through a sense of doubt Take over numbing grief Let the poison.
Speaker D:Now.
Speaker G:It's immortal sa?
Speaker G:It's immortal skin.
Speaker D:Sat?
Speaker G:Sat by the wrath that burns like a buried flame.
Speaker G:It's immortal sin.
Speaker G:It's immortal s.
Speaker D:It's immortal Immortal.
Speaker A:Thank you for listening, and we'll see you next week.
Speaker F:And bye.
Speaker F:Have a good day.
