Hey there, it's Michael. Welcome to Whole Again, A show about helping us embrace life with mindfulness and resilience through the wisdom of cons. Sugi, thanks for being here and thanks for being part of our community. Since it's Friday, we have a shorter episode for you, a bit of a mindset shift. Think of it as an invitation to slow things down a bit before you head into the weekend, a few moments to check in, to hit pause, take a few deep breaths and reflect on what really matters, especially when things can feel overwhelming.
This time of year is my favorite time of year. I am a Virgo baby, so one, it's my birthday, it's also our youngest daughter's birthday, as well as my wife's birthday. So there's a lot to celebrate and I love all the colors of fall, the oranges, the yellows, the reds, the russets. I also love that feeling when you put socks on on that first chilly morning.
Or the first time you can see your breath on a cold day. Or maybe it's just one of those days where you can have a slow morning. You don't need an alarm to wake up and you have the time to extend your shower just a bit, so it gives you a proper reset. Or maybe it's how the sunlight comes through your window.
Or maybe it's when that new favorite song of yours pops on the radio. This happened to me the other day. The song Count to 10 by Tina Dico came on and it was such a great moment. Or maybe you have a moment If you own a pet, when your pet curls up next to you, when you're the safest place in the world.
That's such a cool moment. Or when someone remembers a little detail that you shared with them that you thought no one would remember, but they did. Or you receive a handwritten note or card or simply a sweet text, someone reaching out just because, or maybe it's one of those days when you can cook something super slow and you can eat it slowly because you don't have to wolf down your food 'cause you're rushing to the next thing.
Maybe it's about letting yourself cry or laughing so hard that you cry. Or maybe you experience a moment early in the morning or perhaps late at night when everyone's asleep and you get the quiet of your apartment or house, or
you have a moment where you dance like no one's watching, and you experience pure joy. These moments to name a few are the moments that bring us back to ourselves, our messy selves, our unfiltered selves. They ground us. These moments are not flashy or loud, and you would probably not post them on Instagram.
Well, maybe a couple, but these are the moments that we need when everything feels like it's rushing by at a thousand miles an hour, these moments. Are good for our soul, for our nervous system. But these moments are also moments that we can take for granted that we blow past because we're onto the next thing.
But these moments help us remember our humanists. They nourish us. They're good for us. They're not about performance or productivity. They are simply moments to enjoy, moments to be. I encourage you as you keep pedaling forward to soak in these moments. Don't rush by them. Savor these moments. These moments are enough and so are you.
And I love the fact that you're here and part of our community, and if you haven't yet signed up for my supportive text messages that I send out throughout the week, they're free. You can simply text whole again, 2 8 6 6 6 1 2 4 6 0 4 and I'll set you up. I'll also share in the show notes. Some other resources that might be helpful to you,

Until then, remember, you can always come back to your breath. You've got this and we've got you.
