There were pieces that looked nothing like wood.

And I mentioned to the guy, I go, hey, can you pull down another unit?

Cuz I'm not buying those.
Speaker C:
Oh, they'll be fine, just scrape it off.
Speaker C:
I went, I left.
Speaker C:
I'm not buying lumber here.
Speaker D:
Well, no, I mean.
Speaker D:
Okay, so can you scrape it off?
Speaker D:
Yes.
Speaker D:
Do you want to?
Speaker D:
No, nobody wants to do that.
Speaker D:
It's mold remediation essentially.
Speaker D:
And so you're gonna buy a bundle of lumber and then have to put in what, a hundred hours to essentially make it usable.
Speaker D:
No, that doesn't do anybody any good.
Speaker C:
Throwing that lumber away and going to buy another one than it is to go through and treat it correctly.
Speaker C:
It's way cheaper.
Speaker C:
And so I left, went down to the other box store down the street, grabbed some lumber because it was on a weekend where my lumberyard wasn't open and I was just trying to grab a fistful of two by fours and those don't go in any of the.
Speaker C:
I think it was even going to my shop.
Speaker C:
I'm like, I'm not putting that inside there.
Speaker D:
Yeah, it's a problem.
Speaker D:
And again I think there's a lot.
Speaker B:
That goes in the second hour.
Speaker B:
We jump into keeping that home clean.
Speaker B:
When you are dealing with wildfire, smoke and some other tricks from Eric G. And John Dudley.
Speaker C:
We've already had 4 million plus acres burned in the US of land.
Speaker C:
And in Oregon where I'm at here, we've already had over a million acres.
Speaker C:
So that's about the size of Connecticut we're talking about.
Speaker C:
So it's.
Speaker A:
Luckily I get news briefs from you, so that helps.
Speaker C:
Yeah, and that's the thing, man, I mean it's bad out there.
Speaker C:
And so I wanted to talk a little bit about it because we've got so many things here.
Speaker C:
We've got dozens of fires, there's not enough people fighting them, there's not enough air support.
Speaker C:
And a couple years ago, man, I loved it because I was probably a little more than that.
Speaker C:
I think it's been out of service now for three or four but a company had built a 747 tanker so they would land at the airport, they'd have fire trucks or pump trucks loaded up with tons of water and would take off and it could drop an Olympic sized swimming pool of water over a huge area.
Speaker C:
And unfortunately at the time the US government didn't give it a contract and so they eventually parted the plane out and they had the whole system.
Speaker C:
It worked great, had no issues.
