Rick Anson:

Hey, I get this question all the time. Rick, what's the best way you CBD? There's all these different kinds. There's oil, tinctures, and topical creams and different milligram content. Well, today, I'm going to cover that question and also go into all the ways that you can take it. But to get this out of the way right now. You do not want to smoke it No way. No how. You know, it's interesting people around this country and even in Canada take CBD a number of different ways. You know, I got a story. A good friend of mine owns a radio station in Santa Cruz, California. Now I love Santa Cruz, California. But if you ever been there, and some of you listening may have it is a time warp is going back in time to the 1960s which is cool, right? You got a bunch of hippies. They're out there driving around in their Volkswagen buses, living a good life. But everybody in Santa Cruz California is smoked to THC or they smoke to CBD. That's the way of life right? And so you have to accept it. It's a beautiful part of the country. But they are adamant about old school and tradition, and still believing that smoking is the way to do it. Now look, I'm not going to argue that smoking is kind of cool in the sense right? But it's definitely old school Willie Nelson who you know, I think is American treasure for sure. But we've come a long way since then that can tell you that smoking obviously, you know yourself putting anything into your lungs, right that comes from the plant you're likely ingesting first of all, you're putting something in your lungs which you should never do, but more than likely that CBD that you're smoking that's in the bud form has not been purely you know is not pure right hasn't been tested as much as a another form. So now you're ingesting you're you're likely ingesting herbicides and pesticides and everything else having metals that comes along with smoking that but so my opinion and my 10 over 10 years of experience extensive experience in CBD and health and wellness. I am not a proponent and not a fan of smoking. But there's a million other ways to take this. I have friends who own a chain of bars across the country. They buy the CBD gummies they love the fact that you can be eating a meal you can be having a beer and people eat the CBD gummies all day long at the bars or at the restaurants. You know it's an easy to social form right you take it you pop it in your mouth, our gourmet gummies tastes amazing five different flavors. So you're getting this tasty CBD treat. It works. And you feel it within about half hour an hour because you're eating other foods and certain things. That's a great way to take CBD. I also have a friend who's a professional racecar driver. And I mean they say it professional athletes the number one stressed the number you know the best athlete of all professional sports is a more cross more psycho writer. They say the stress and the endurance it takes to ride motocross in the desert is unequal to anything else from I understand seconds racecar driving. And so I mean high stress environment obviously high attention focus racing cars around tracks, you're racing other people. He takes CBD, he takes it both topically on his on his arms in his hands before he starts driving. And then he takes it right before and after a full tincture which is a sublingual absorption into mucous membrane because it's one of the fastest ways to take CBD. So there's some stories of people in Santa Cruz, California, old school to racecar drivers to you know, people in bars and restaurants have all the different ways to take CBD, but I'm gonna go into further education on each one each way and delivery forms and was the fastest and which one's the slowest. So you can choose for yourself and adopted to to yourself and your own lifestyle and and for your pets as well because we absolutely have right dosing and right types for your dog and pet as well. So going back to my friend who's a professional racecar driver, I mean, this guy ran the CART series. He did f1 He just did an f1 in Miami and just ran it in the Daytona 500. You know, very high level, it's, you know, it's not only the racecar drivers, right, me is 120 person pitcrew you talk about stress environment, that car comes flying and going whatever, 100 miles an hour to pit you gotta change those tires, man, you gotta change man. Second, you got to change the steering wheel, you got to figure out what's going on, get that car out ahead the next car, that's highly stressful. His entire pit crew take CBD products as well. Right? It's safe, it's natural. Of course it doesn't test for THC because there is no THC. And it's a great way to keep the stress levels and anxiety levels and maintain the calmness while you're doing a highly stressful job. So, you know, it's just an example of a very high level athlete and entire crew taking CBD and taking it in an oil tincture form and using it in a daily basis. So let me lay this out for everybody here all the different forms of CBD different you know, I was gonna say delivery methods right? Because there's so many different ones out there. There is not one that is better than the other for you. Okay, it depends on who you are, what you're using it for and how your body is right. A lot of factors when you take CBD is how big of a person you are right in large large body mass. It's gonna take longer to digest CBD a lot if you eat a lot of oily foods for example like salmon and fish that's going to have an effect on the processing of your CBD as well how quickly it's absorbed is called the onset rate. I'm sure you live you've heard how fast it works is called the onset right right for CBD and THC even as well. So let me lay this out for you. You have a lot of people use a lot like beginners like to use is a topical form I topical creams because they feel that it may be safer or they want to try it and you know little roll on the elbow or on the the knee is a great way or your hands or your feet if you have neuropathy, right is a great way to try a topical cream. And I encourage that a lot of good topical creams was started about 1000 milligrams. So if you roll that on, say for 30 seconds, more than likely you're getting 20 to 30 milligrams of that topical cream. Now again, that is meant to permeate right to absorb through the five different sub dermal layers of the skin and go to the point where there is acute pain or inflammation or soreness right? It's not systemic, it's not overarching in your entire body. This topical Rawn is first specific pain or an acute pain or inflammation or soreness in general that will go through the layers of the skin and work very quickly on that soreness or that pain spot. And that's fantastic. It takes generally about you know if you have a very good you know, hemp CBD product that is high quality, you can expect to start feeling a reduction of pain within five to 10 minutes with a topical and again a lot of people think it's maybe a little safer a better way to try CBD that way. Now let's go into oil tinctures because that's a subdermal right that is an oil tincture has been developed to be put underneath your tongue and absorbed through the mucous membrane, which is underneath your tongue and go directly into your bloodstream. So it is is a different way to get CBD into your body. Then a topical because it's obviously going into your bloodstream and going throughout your entire body and going to the CB one CB two receptors, you know that helped feed the endocannabinoid system, a lot of people and of course, you know, oil tincture started right as a first CBD product out there and why people were using it for seizures. And so it's a great way to try it's very safe. You know there's millions of CBD oil tincture sold a week in this country. Again, it's a sub dermal form it absorbs your tongue to the mucous membrane directly into your bloodstream and then it's delivered into you know, CB one CB receptors. Now let's go into ingest into edibles right? This gummy bears no, we're not talking edibles, like THC edibles, right, everybody and their dogs got a story about oh, I took an edible and I didn't feel anything and an hour and a half. Oh my Gosh, I couldn't even see straight. We're talking about hemp based CBD here, everyone. So when you take an edible, the process is completely different than a topical, that's going through layers of skin to a specific, you know pain or sore spot. And it's completely different than a sublingual that's going passing, you know, through the mucous membrane going through your entire bloodstream, you take an ingestible it, you know, it's you're eating it, right, like a gummy bear, for example, or a chocolate and it goes into your stomach. Now, your stomach starts digesting that through enzymes write our enzymes process and digest our foods. So depending again, how big you are, how much what you ate, maybe an hour or two hours before you took that gummy bear or piece of chocolate, it takes a process to break down but in general, I would say it's about 60 minutes. So it's a slower onset rate, right then sublingual or topical for sure. Now, once it's processed and digest, then it goes into the upper intestine of the body, where then it's been broken down, and then it's delivered into the bloodstream. So it's a much slower process. That's fine. If you like to eat gummy bears throughout the day, maybe you eat five gummy bears, and they're 10 milligrams, you got 50 milligrams of CBD throughout the day, and you like to eat it that way. It's just and that's great, because you're really like micro dosing yourself, right? You're taking a 10 milligram in the morning. And you know, you can take another one, maybe noon, and maybe you'd like another one at three o'clock, and you take one with dinner or before you go to bed, so you're taking four or five, there are 10 milligrams, you got 50 milligrams a day. And that's how you like to do it. Fantastic. Just understand that it's a slower onset rates a slower way slower delivery method to get the CBD into your body. And a lot of people right, consider CBD as a daily go to that's a natural safe wellness product. And a lot of people out there consider CBD as a medicine. Now, no, we all understand we cannot say it is a medicine. And I'm not saying it isn't a medicine because that would not be correct with FDA, but a lot of people perceive taking CBD is like their medicine. That's what I mean by that. So if and people who take a medicine who have chronic pain or severe anxiety, or stress levels, they want that CBD now they want it quick, and they want it now to help with that, you know, with that ailment. So, the fastest way, so we covered topical, we covered sublingual, we covered ingestible, the fastest way by far to take CBD is through the blood brain barrier. Now, blood brain barrier is that thin barrier that that's in your in your mind in your brain, that when you take a product, it quickly bypass it quickly passes through the blood brain barrier, we call it the BBB. And then you start filling effects very quickly. There are very few CBD products that pass through the blood brain barrier. But there are a few. And that is by far the fastest way to get CBD into your body and help with your, you know, overarching health and wellness or specific ailments that you're trying to use CBD for. So to be clear, and to expand upon this. If you took a CBD product that passed to the blood brain barrier, more than likely you would be smoking it right. And that is absolutely the quickest way to get the benefits of CBD. However, again, as I mentioned earlier, I am not an advocate of smoking, CBD or anything and putting anything into your lungs, because of the negative effects far outweigh the positive effects. Now, again, it's very rapid onset rate. So you know, some people like that, and some people don't some people prefer a topical, but I'm a firm believer, and then we'll have over a decade of experience of international speaking, launched multiple lines of products help companies build and grow that I fully believe because everyone's different that you should do a combination, a layered effect of your CBD usage. On a daily basis. I really believe it's on a daily basis. Now that may be one gummy bear in the morning and you'd like to take an oil tincture in the middle of the day that has 30 milligrams, and then you do a roll on on your knees before you go for a run or we go to the gym, or even after you come back from your exercise to help with you know, a quick post recovery. Now CBD. It's not just for that pain or that anxiety that you have that pain or inflammation or that stress and anxiety that you may have immediately or right now. CBD is an amazing recovery practice as well. So when you work out and when you come back, you should put the CBD topical cream or take oil tincture? A foil tincture is 30 milligrams. After you workout after you go on that run after you lift weights after you do that marathon or ride your bike, Marcus, because it's going to help your body recover quicker, and it will stop the inflammation and very important, right when you have inflammation, that's the start of arthritis. And then you develop arthritis from the inflammation. Now you got rheumatoid arthritis, now you got acute pain. So if you can stop the inflammation naturally, by taking CBD after your exercise, you're way ahead of the game. It's a huge win for you. So I believe in taking a holistic blended approach where you should check a couple gummy bears, maybe oil tincture and some rolawn. And I think that's that is your go to for your daily health and wellness. I hope this has helped you. I appreciate your time. Until next time, thank you. So my challenge as you know, every episode we have a challenge. My challenge this week is for you to try a few multiple forms of CBD at different times of the day. For example, you're gonna wake up and have a great tasting cinnamon oil tincture, right I love cinnamon, take it in the morning, get the effects, and then maybe around two o'clock in the afternoon. Take a few gummy bears. See how that works for you throughout the day. Try two different or three different forms, different times of the day, I think will absolutely make you feel better improve your quality of life.
