Shownotes

On this episode of The Rural Woman Podcast, you’ll meet Megz Reynolds. Megz grew up in Calgary, AB and had a 10 year career in the Canadian film industry before trading film sets for tractor cabs and moving to a grain farm in SW Saskatchewan. Megz jumped right into farming, starting an apprenticeship as a heavy duty mechanic at a local equipment dealership as well as learning to run all of the equipment on the farm.

In 2013 Megz started sharing her farm story online, advocating for farmers, sound policy and mental health as well as creating videos explaining how equipment works and why it is used on farms. This led her to many speaking opportunities including testifying to the Agriculture and Agri-Foods Standing Committee twice.

Megz now works for an agricultural manufacturing company. In her sales and market development role she is able to utilize her background as a former mechanic and grain farmer. Megz can still be found making videos about farm equipment, manufacturing and advocating for agriculture around the world.
