Alex Whiteley is at the Shrewsbury Town FC Supporters Awards Night at Montgomery Waters Meadow. It was an intimate event with only around 200 supporters and the whole Shrewsbury Town present who were up for awards nominated by the supporter groups attached to the club.

The goal today is to investigate the connection between the supporters and the club, especially as a huge effort has been made by Steve Cotterill's side to build a strong, symbiotic relationship between one another.

Alex speaks to event organisers Roger and Mike, Shrewsbury Town manager Steve Cotterill and club captain Luke Leahy about their thoughts on the club/supporter connection.

We also hear from a group of supporters about their love for the club over the last 50 years or more and Salop For All representative Helen Hall.
