2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Transformers: The Movie and on March 31st, we’re celebrating that major milestone with the premiere of “40 for 40” - where I will be counting down my favorite, most iconic moments from the movie that has had such a profound influence on me since I first saw it, by myself, at the Bay Theater in Ballard in August of 1986, all the way up to today.

To mark the occasion, we’re looking back on 10 classic Mike Seibert Radio Podcast episodes that illustrate why this movie is so important to me and how it continues to be a cornerstone of the content I create.

Today, we’re going all the way back to 2016, when I celebrated the 30th anniversary of Transformers: The Movie on my college radio show on 89.9 KGRG-FM.

This was the very first time I talked about the movie on the air, but it certainly would not be the last!
