Deep vein thromboses are potentially dangerous clots in the large veins of the legs or pelvis that can break and travel to the lungs. Treatment is to take a blood thinner for at least three months. But is it safe to get back to training after this diagnosis is made? I review the evidence. Tim Crowley is a successful triathlon and strength and conditioning coach.
