This week we are exploring the walk of life with the Deputy Fire Marshal for West Hartford, CT, Marsha McCurdy Adell. Marsha was the first Black woman to graduate from the Connecticut Fire Academy in the year 2000 and has served her community in a variety of ways since that time. Marsha is also actively involved in advocating for the regular people in her town by engaging with city leadership. Marsha shares her challenges and successes throughout her career and explains the variety of roles she has filled throughout the years. Marsha is an absolute inspiration and role model for people to look up to.
