I’m joined by Corey Hilton, a Canadian author and introspective influencer on self-worth, in this episode. Like many of us, he struggled with self-worth from childhood experiences that left him with feelings of rejection and abandonment. Yet, as a young adult, he found himself invited into the world of exotic male dancing. You, like me, might be wondering how does a guy with these emotional challenges find himself revealing it all. Corey shares how he created a persona to carry him through the performances.

Not surprisingly, Corey found himself years later discovering the struggle of his two polar opposite personalities. It’s not unlike the challenge we can face in our own lives, acting confidently at work while failing in our marriage and parenting. Yet, through Corey’s journey, he was able to shed the layers he’d built over the years, to lay his soul bare and discover who he truly is, not just who others have told him he was. In our conversation, Corey opens up on how he’s made courageous decisions and actions to delve further into what is true and shed the false stories he’s believed about himself and life.
