Speaker:

Today's tennis tip comes from Sebastian Nunez.

Speaker:

Have a listen and let us know what you think.

Speaker:

There are doubles especially early in the set.

Speaker:

I want a very high first serve percentage.

Speaker:

I don't want them having a lot of looks at the second serve.

Speaker:

Generally I'm going to be going more up to T. I'm still mixing up the kick and the flat

Speaker:

and slice seeing which ones they can handle, which ones they struggle with a little bit

Speaker:

more.

Speaker:

Some people will be better with the pace and some people might get thrown off more as

Speaker:

you go for the kick.

Speaker:

Then also for doubles early in the set I think it's important to throw in some poaches,

Speaker:

serve and volley, staying back to disrupt the rhythm of the returner.

Speaker:

Maybe do some eye formation or Australian.

Speaker:

That way you're keeping them guessing.

Speaker:

The last thing I want is for the returner to just know that they have to hit it low cross-court.

Speaker:

I want them to have the wonder, do I need to go down the line, do I need to go for the

Speaker:

lob.

Speaker:

So just making them think more at the beginning of the set is important.

Speaker:

Well there you have it.

Speaker:

You want to thank reGeovinate.com for use of the studio and signature tennis for their support.
