In this episode, we talk about this first step. What is learning? Sometimes we think it is merely the accumulation of information. That is a small part of learning. When I get information, if it makes no difference in my life, then it has no real meaning. I have not actually learned anything.
How can we learn? The method needs to be appropriate to the subject. If I want to learn physics, then I read and perform experiments that teach me physical principles. If I want spiritual knowledge, then the reading and experiments need to be suited to the knowledge. Knowledge can also be static. When we think we know something, we are often closed off to further refinement. This can be a prison.
