Welcome to the Mesmerizing Marketing Podcast, where we take a deep dive

Speaker:

into the latest marketing trends, tools, and tips, and provide you with

Speaker:

the top resources you need to thrive and make your marketing mesmerizing.

Speaker:

And now here's your host Dimple.

Speaker:

Dang.

Speaker:

Hello, my MES Rising Marketing Tribe.

Speaker:

Today we're gonna be talking about 10 social media tools you need

Speaker:

to be using in 2023 to elevate your marketing to the next level.

Speaker:

All right, let's start with number one.

Speaker:

This one is one of my favorites.

Speaker:

Yes, I have personally used it many times and absolutely love.

Speaker:

This one is called v.io.

Speaker:

It's v e e d.io.

Speaker:

By the way, in the show notes, I will be linking all of the tools, so

Speaker:

make sure you go check out the show notes, and some of them may have

Speaker:

free trials that you can sign up for, to check them out for yourself.

Speaker:

So v.io is a video editing platform that allows you to edit your videos,

Speaker:

and it is super simple to use.

Speaker:

Super easy.

Speaker:

, and I love the fact that it allows you to resize your videos to

Speaker:

be able to use them for various different social media platforms.

Speaker:

As you know, the size requirements for TikTok videos and for reels

Speaker:

are different than YouTube videos.

Speaker:

So if you wanted to take one video and repurpose.

Speaker:

It allows you to do that and do that easily.

Speaker:

The one thing I do want you guys to be aware about is if you are going

Speaker:

to record video content that you want to use and repurpose for different

Speaker:

platforms, make sure that you're recording it where it's not too zoomed

Speaker:

in because if it's too zoomed in,

Speaker:

, it's probably gonna cut part of it off.

Speaker:

So if you just want to make sure that you back up just a tad so that you

Speaker:

can later zoom in and edit it how you want for reel's content versus.

Speaker:

For YouTube video content.

Speaker:

And that's just a pro tip right there that I learned from experience.

Speaker:

So the other thing in terms of features that v.io offers is you can add subtitles,

Speaker:

you can add translations, you can even add the transcription of the entire

Speaker:

you know, audio, what was said so that you don't have to do that later on.

Speaker:

. And that's a really good idea to do you guys, because when people are

Speaker:

watching content on social media, and a lot of times they may be at

Speaker:

work and they don't necessarily want to play the audio, but they do want

Speaker:

to know what that video is about.

Speaker:

, So when you add transcriptions, it

Speaker:

you're also being more inclusive to communities that need it as well.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

So the other thing is you can also overlay the videos with different stickers,

Speaker:

different images, so it makes it super easy to drag and drop different things.

Speaker:

It has stickers that are built in and you can literally just edit the video.

Speaker:

And it also has a feature that I like.

Speaker:

If there was some background noise and you wanted to edit the quality of the audio

Speaker:

in the video, you can do that as well.

Speaker:

Obviously, you can add voiceover, different sounds, all that,

Speaker:

so definitely check that out.

Speaker:

They also recently, Have incorporated different templates, which you can

Speaker:

pick from, and that's gonna allow you to create your video content based on

Speaker:

a template, and it might be even easier and quicker in terms of saving you

Speaker:

time when it comes to editing content.

Speaker:

So check out v.io.

Speaker:

All right you guys.

Speaker:

Number two is video ask.

Speaker:

And video ask is from the same company who has created something called

Speaker:

Typeform, which Typeform I also love.

Speaker:

And it is amazing for creating customized forms where when you think of Google

Speaker:

Forms, think of Typeform, but only it's a lot more sleeker and sex.

Speaker:

And you can customize the background.

Speaker:

And now Typeform even allows you to put videos in your form, which is cool.

Speaker:

so video ask was created by them and it's literally like having video funnels that

Speaker:

you can create for your sales team, for outreach to clients for following up.

Speaker:

And it allows you to build engaging in video form.

Speaker:

that enable you to collect contact details or even have people register

Speaker:

for events and so much more.

Speaker:

And then you can even ask for a response back in either a video, audio or text,

Speaker:

and you can provide multiple choice selections for them to pick from.

Speaker:

It allows for booking on calendar incorporating payments, file

Speaker:

uploads, and so much more.

Speaker:

So definitely check out video ask.

Speaker:

I can probably do an entire podcast episode on that.

Speaker:

So this is just very, very high level, but it's definitely a

Speaker:

very, very cool technology.

Speaker:

. All right, number three is, hello, woo.

Speaker:

And if you guys have been listening to my podcast for a while, I interviewed Ar

Speaker:

Rae, who is the founder and c o of Hello.

Speaker:

Woo.

Speaker:

And I'm gonna link that episode because that explains a lot of the

Speaker:

features in detail, and I think you guys will enjoy checking it out.

Speaker:

But I definitely wanted to mention it here.

Speaker:

And there's been so many new things that Argen has incorporated

Speaker:

since I last spoke to him.

Speaker:

I'm gonna have to have him come back on my podcast for another episode so we

Speaker:

can dive deeper into some new, exciting features he has, which are, Smart Speaker

Speaker:

marketing, which basically allows you to increase your revenue by getting in

Speaker:

front of your customers in their homes when you think about Alexa, right?

Speaker:

And so you can broadcast video or audio post via smart speakers.

Speaker:

And then the other cool thing that I'm really excited about

Speaker:

is something called web stories.

Speaker:

And web stories are where you can get website visitors from Google.

Speaker:

You can improve your seo and if you guys dunno what SEO is, it is search

Speaker:

engine optimization, which means your doing activities that are going to

Speaker:

help you rank higher organically on Google and the search result pages.

Speaker:

So it helps for seo if you're using Google Web Stories and with Hello

Speaker:

Whoopi, you can schedule stories that have beautiful imagery, text and

Speaker:

call to action buttons directly into the search results, and that's going

Speaker:

to be really, really great for s.

Speaker:

All right, so the other thing is, let's just talk about high

Speaker:

level what Hello Movie does.

Speaker:

It's basically a social media marketing automation tool that is great for

Speaker:

solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, business owners, as well as small to mid-size

Speaker:

businesses, and it allows you to even use emoji marketing where it

Speaker:

gives you emoji recommendations based on the Hello Woo artificial inte.

Speaker:

And then it has some useful tools, which is auto complete.

Speaker:

So if you're typing something, it's going to auto suggest.

Speaker:

Link the next word so you can save time.

Speaker:

And then it also allows you to pull quotes from articles.

Speaker:

And now you can post to your blogs from Hello BofI.

Speaker:

And it has a lot of other integrations with different platforms that

Speaker:

you may find useful and it's also very, very cost effective.

Speaker:

So definitely check it out.

Speaker:

I will put my affiliate link in the show notes and you guys can get a.

Speaker:

All right, we're gonna go to number four.

Speaker:

Number four is Bitly, so b i t.ly.

Speaker:

Again, I'll link everything in the show notes for you guys, but

Speaker:

Bentley is amazing because you can take any link that you have.

Speaker:

Let's say you have created a blog article on your website.

Speaker:

Or there's an article on the internet that you wanna share, and if you put it

Speaker:

into Bitly, you can shorten the link.

Speaker:

So Bitly is a link shortener, but here's some of the cool things that you might

Speaker:

have not even thought about using it for.

Speaker:

What I like to do is I like to put links in there because it

Speaker:

actually tracks how much traffic.

Speaker:

Came from that link.

Speaker:

So when I post different types of posts on Twitter and Instagram and

Speaker:

Facebook and LinkedIn, I know how many people actually clicked on that link.

Speaker:

So it tells me which of my articles or podcast episodes or posts are

Speaker:

more popular, or which, you know, social media posts performed better.

Speaker:

And I love to see you know, see that data and analytics because

Speaker:

it really helps you make the right decisions to get more traffic.

Speaker:

And then the other thing about it is, , you can even create custom links.

Speaker:

So you can have a custom name.

Speaker:

You do have to pay for that plan, like so they have a free version, they

Speaker:

have a paid version, and with a paid version, you get some more enhancements.

Speaker:

And part of that is where you can have a custom, url so you can name

Speaker:

it something like, you know, Podcast marketing course our whatever you want

Speaker:

our consultation with Deborah, right?

Speaker:

So you can customize it and that makes it really easy.

Speaker:

If you wanted to share.

Speaker:

in a talk or just put it out there like say on a podcast where it's super easy for

Speaker:

someone to just memorize it and go there.

Speaker:

The other thing is it also has now a link builder, which would be similar

Speaker:

to like what I guess Link Tree kind of does and social tap, so you can

Speaker:

check out that feature as well.

Speaker:

But I really, really love using Bitly and then it actually

Speaker:

saves the links to articles too.

Speaker:

So then, If I just wanna go back and copy the link to something specific I

Speaker:

shared even a month ago, it makes it super easy for me to just go grab the

Speaker:

link and share it on to social media.

Speaker:

All right, so now we're gonna go to number five, which is later.

Speaker:

So that is L A T E R later.com.

Speaker:

And it is a social media management tool that allows you to auto publish

Speaker:

to TikTok, which is great because you know, if you have to post a lot of

Speaker:

content to TikTok, you can't always be, right there to do it and set it up.

Speaker:

So this allows you to preschedule content for TikTok, also for the Instagram

Speaker:

feed post, and then for Facebook, for Twitter, for Pinterest and LinkedIn.

Speaker:

And their plans are pretty affordable as well.

Speaker:

But I like that it allows you to, you know, schedule stuff out.

Speaker:

You do have to download the app as well on your phone sometimes

Speaker:

to push the scheduling out.

Speaker:

And that may have changed, but they have a lot of, great features with, , these

Speaker:

platforms that not every different social media platform may offer.

Speaker:

So definitely check out.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

Number six is s e m.

Speaker:

Rush.

Speaker:

I absolutely love s e m Rush, and not just for.

Speaker:

SEO search engine optimization, but it has so many other great

Speaker:

features built in to it as well.

Speaker:

So, you know, for example, I like to create a lot of content for my clients

Speaker:

in the terms of blog content that is SEO optimized and it is strategically

Speaker:

written to rank on page one of Google.

Speaker:

And because there might be, so many articles that we have

Speaker:

written throughout the years.

Speaker:

We wanna be able to track which articles are getting us to rank on page one,

Speaker:

or maybe if they're ranking on page two or three, how can we create more

Speaker:

content around that specific topic to rank higher in the search engine?

Speaker:

And you can literally see reports and you can have reports sent to you.

Speaker:

Your ranking in terms of placement for different keywords, you can input up

Speaker:

to 500 keywords with their basic plan.

Speaker:

And then you also can literally spy on your competitor's marketing to see

Speaker:

what they're doing, what's working for them, and also gives you the ability

Speaker:

to see back links in terms of, you know, where are other competitors

Speaker:

getting their back links from.

Speaker:

Because if you know that they're ranking really high on page.

Speaker:

of Google for a keyword that you wanna rank for, well, you can see where their

Speaker:

traffic is coming from and maybe you can go try to get a back link there as well.

Speaker:

And that just makes it really, really easy to just implement those things.

Speaker:

The other cool feature I like is it has a built in platform feature where you can.

Speaker:

determine who you want to do outreach to in order to ask for a back link.

Speaker:

And you can write letters and you can send them off.

Speaker:

And it just makes it really easy to keep track of what you're doing.

Speaker:

But it has about 55 different features.

Speaker:

So it's just one of those things you have to go sign up for a free

Speaker:

trial and check it out for yourself.

Speaker:

But I love it, and even it has built in social media posting.

Speaker:

, so if you just wanna all in one platform, we can just, you know, do

Speaker:

your social media posting there as well.

Speaker:

It's got that built in, so I do love that.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

Number seven is gonna be Meet Edgar, and again, it's Meet Edgar

Speaker:

and I have used this a while back,

Speaker:

and I'm actually thinking of trying it out again.

Speaker:

So the one thing that makes Meet Edgar unique for a social media posting

Speaker:

platform is that it automatically pulls posts from your content

Speaker:

library and schedules them for you.

Speaker:

So it keeps your content fresh day after day.

Speaker:

And if you've heard the concept of evergreen content, well meet Ed.

Speaker:

Is a platform that's going to repurpose that content for you.

Speaker:

And what that means is less work for you, right?

Speaker:

And who wants to do more work?

Speaker:

Not me.

Speaker:

So if you have content, especially like me, if you have a podcast show, I

Speaker:

don't just share the latest episodes.

Speaker:

I like to go back and share older episodes too, because people.

Speaker:

are still listening to those.

Speaker:

There's valuable content there, so if they're discovering it,

Speaker:

they're gonna listen to it.

Speaker:

So I always like to re-share stuff not re-share the same thing, or it's

Speaker:

the exact same, you know, wording.

Speaker:

We wanna switch it up a little bit.

Speaker:

So I love that this is more automated and it does it for you,

Speaker:

and obviously you can set it up where you have to approve everything.

Speaker:

You know, it goes live and it gets posted, but I think that it actually helps you

Speaker:

streamline the process of just, you know, getting more content out there

Speaker:

without having to put hours and hours in creating new content all the time.

Speaker:

And that's always great because we're all busy.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

Number eight is Buffer.

Speaker:

Buffer.

Speaker:

Gosh, I've been using this for like probably 10 years or more, but Buffer

Speaker:

is great because it's a social media platform for people who are on a budget

Speaker:

or maybe you're just getting started out.

Speaker:

I love that they have a free plan that's completely free and it allows

Speaker:

you to post to Facebook, Twitter.

Speaker:

LinkedIn, there's other few other platforms that I

Speaker:

may allow you to pick from.

Speaker:

And depending on how many platforms you want to post to, you might have to

Speaker:

get the paid plan if you have a certain number of platforms, but like the

Speaker:

basics, let's say you just wanna post to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, you can

Speaker:

definitely do that, and I love that.

Speaker:

It's also really simple and easy to.

Speaker:

, it may not have like the most de, you know, detailed analytics like some of

Speaker:

the other platforms, but if you're just getting started and you need something

Speaker:

really simple, you're in a budget.

Speaker:

Even their paid plans are super affordable as well.

Speaker:

And the difference really from some of the free plans and paid plans, one of

Speaker:

the differences is that with a paid plan, you can schedule out more content in.

Speaker:

Versus with a free plan, it's gonna say, okay, you're at your maximum limit.

Speaker:

You know, you need to either upgrade or you have to hold off for a little bit.

Speaker:

So definitely check out Buffer.

Speaker:

It is just, you know, consistently then good for just posting content.

Speaker:

And sometimes if you're managing accounts for other clients and they

Speaker:

don't wanna have a paid platform, they just want basic posting.

Speaker:

But not anything too detailed in terms of analytics.

Speaker:

Buffer will get the job done.

Speaker:

All right, we're gonna go to number nine.

Speaker:

Number nine is Grammarly.

Speaker:

And Grammarly.

Speaker:

Even though it's not a social media tool, I love how you can use it for social

Speaker:

media because when you're creating content and you're writing content, you wanna

Speaker:

make sure that the grammar is proper.

Speaker:

You want to make sure that it looks professional.

Speaker:

So I use Grammarly for content, for, you know, websites, for blog

Speaker:

posts, for Facebook ad campaigns, for literally any kind of content I create.

Speaker:

I love it.

Speaker:

And they have a free plan and they have a paid plan, and even

Speaker:

their free plan is amazing.

Speaker:

So if you want your content to sound better, you want the

Speaker:

grammar to be on point, you definitely wanna check out grammar.

Speaker:

All right.

Speaker:

Last but not least BuzzSumo, which is another one of my favorites

Speaker:

from throughout the years.

Speaker:

BuzzSumo is great because you can go and type in a keyword and it's gonna

Speaker:

tell you which content is out there on different social media platforms, like

Speaker:

was it posted on different platforms and which platforms, what were the

Speaker:

number of shares or the engage.

Speaker:

So you can see content that's trending according to different keywords, and

Speaker:

what you can do is you can either take that article and you can re-share it,

Speaker:

and you can talk about what some of the key takeaways were from that article.

Speaker:

Or what you can do is you can use that as inspiration to come up with

Speaker:

topics for your blogs, for your Instagram reels, for TikTok, for

Speaker:

content, because you already know.

Speaker:

it's a hot topic because people have been sharing it, they've been gauging with it.

Speaker:

So I think it always is good if you can have a strategy for what you're posting

Speaker:

and not just randomly post things.

Speaker:

Because the more strategy you have, the more strategic you

Speaker:

are, it's going to actually make your marketing more effective.

Speaker:

And that's what this episode was supposed to be about, is about how you.

Speaker:

use the right social media tools, you know, the best social media

Speaker:

tools in 2023 to leverage your marketing to go to the next level.

Speaker:

So I hope you guys enjoyed this episode, and I'm going to wish you

Speaker:

guys a very happy holiday season.

Speaker:

and wishing you the best in the new year as well, although you'll be hearing from

Speaker:

me again, but just in case you know you guys are busy, I just wanna put that out
