Mirrors in our life can serve a purpose for our development as men. There are things that we cannot see about ourselves that mirrors show us. We must understand that the mirrors in our life are the different avenues of feedback we have. If we aren't intentional about getting feedback, we won't be able to develop all of our gifts and abilities as men.
A Mirrors Purpose
- Mirrors have a lot of practical uses
- We need to remember that Mirrors Reflect the image that is there
- Mirrors are there to show us as we are
- Mirrors help us see ourselves realistically
- Seeking feedback is putting mirrors in our lives to make sure what we think is reality
- A mirrors purpose is honest feedback
Avoiding Mirrors
- We avoid mirrors when we don't like what we see
- We shouldn't avoid mirrors or we won't see the truth
- We need outside feedback as well as inside feedback
- Self-reflection is us intentionally looking for our reality
- Many men stay busy to avoid slowing down and reflecting
- This is one of the reasons so many men are lacking when it comes to emotional growth
Practical Mirrors
- Mirrors are reflections and not judgments
- The power of questions
- Assessing ourselves honestly is hard because we judge ourselves by our intentions
- Outside mirrors are ways we can seek feedback for our life
- Other people's feedback
- Paid Feedback
- Simple Feedback
