Dr. Bob Bollinger is a renown epidemiologist and currently a Professor of Infectious Diseases at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) School of Medicine, and serves on the Advisory Team for the Johns Hopkins Precision Medicine Center of Excellence for COVID-19.
He has more than 40 years of experience in international public health, clinical research, and education dealing with such global health priorities as HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, leprosy, dengue, antibiotic resistant infections and other emerging diseases.
I asked Dr. Bob to talk about how we got here, how we can get back to "normal" and why we should trust the vaccine.
Also, is one vaccine safer than another. How do we know we can trust the ones that are out there now? And what he would say to someone who is not sure they want to get this vaccine.
Bob is very clear, the vaccine is one way to move us in the direction of something like normal but we still must be practicing all the other ways we already know work.
