And now, this week's episode.
Speaker:
00:00:19
Over the last 12 months,
Speaker:
00:00:25
AI or artificial intelligence
Speaker:
00:00:27
has become really popular in podcasting.
Speaker:
00:00:29
from using it for transcripts and editing,
Speaker:
00:00:32
to creating full show notes, social media shares and more.
Speaker:
00:00:35
There's no question that AI has made a podcaster's life
Speaker:
00:00:38
a lot easier when it comes to some production tasks.
Speaker:
00:00:40
But there can be a danger of overusing AI.
Speaker:
00:00:43
So what's the best way to use it?
Speaker:
00:00:45
Well, personally, I would always use it as a go-to
Speaker:
00:00:47
and a starting place for your own creativity.
Speaker:
00:00:50
So for example, episode ideas, episode titles,
Speaker:
00:00:53
questions for guests, topics to discuss,
Speaker:
00:00:56
that kind of stuff.
Speaker:
00:00:57
All that stuff can really help you
Speaker:
00:00:58
get your creative juices flowing and make it easier to come up with ideas when
Speaker:
00:01:02
you're struggling with them. What you don't want to do is just leave everything
Speaker:
00:01:05
to AI. So the episode title idea, leaving it as it is, the show notes description,
Speaker:
00:01:10
social media posts etc. Because the problem there is it's not really in your
Speaker:
00:01:14
voice or your character. Now it may work for you and there's nothing wrong with
Speaker:
00:01:18
that but personally I feel that can cheat your listeners a little bit
Speaker:
00:01:20
because they want you and your personality. So yeah by all means use AI
Speaker:
00:01:25
but use it properly and sparingly. It should complement you, not replace you.
Speaker:
00:01:30
Until the next time, happy podcasting.
Speaker:
00:01:34
