Shownotes

In this episode Josh and Mel are joined by the very funny (and very smart) Rodney Claxton from Albury-Wodonga.

Rodney grew up in Sydney and has lived quite the life. He started out working in the funeral industry before starting an apprenticeship as a chef. Cooking led him to working on the Queensland coast where he met his amazing wife, Selina. Rodney then moved back into the Funeral and Cemetery Industries and has built a career around memorialising every day people (and very famous people) in the absolute best way.

Josh, Mel and Rodney talk about:
• Growing up in Sydney, working in the funeral home industry, and dealing with dyslexia as a child.
• Rodney’s time moonlighting as a Crime Scene Cleaner.
• Meeting famous musicians while working as a professional chef in Cairns, Queensland.
• Coordinating the funeral services for the likes of Fred Hollows, and INXS frontman Michael Hutchence.
• What do traffic lights and Bono’s wife have in common?
• Monument Hill (Albury, NSW) - why it’s in Rodney’s Top 10-20 destinations to visit in Australia.
• Rodney’s involvement in the recent works on the Monument Hill Memorial.
