What does it mean to “transform”? The dictionary says “make a thorough or dramatic change in the form, appearance, or character of.” At its simplest form it's creating a change in something you want in your life. We have been doing it our entire lives, if you think back as far as you can you may come up with the various transformations you’ve made in areas like mindset, health, relationships, professional and other personal goals. It’s pretty amazing what we can create and today we are going to explore the power of focusing on the transformation(s) you want in your lives as a way to stay motivated and be compelled to keep moving towards them. Game on!

Unknown:Kelly. Happy March it is March 6, this is episode 150 watt 150
Unknown:episodes of let's be honest, before we start pretending I am
Unknown:stoked about 150. Let's go. Let's go. So how much fun was
Unknown:it, having coach mag on the podcast last week and her
Unknown:stories I'm sure you could find something to resonate with. So
Unknown:great, it was so fun having me on and you know, continuing that
Unknown:conversation of when we're really up against it. And thank
Unknown:you again, make because it was super great to hear your nuggets
Unknown:and all the things that you shared. So I know, it was a
Unknown:great way to wrap up February. And here we are. It's a March
Unknown:March 6 to be exact. And today, we are talking about
Unknown:transformation, data transformation, because, you
Unknown:know, we're always transforming in our life, if we're not, we're
Unknown:probably staying pretty stagnant, and maybe even live
Unknown:even living a little bit on autopilot at some level. And now
Unknown:I will tell you, we are recording, I am recording this.
Unknown:Prior to knee surgery, I am recording this a week before
Unknown:knee surgery, I am still scared, I am still nervous. And I am
Unknown:still leaning into courage, and my mindset, and all of the
Unknown:things still happening. All systems go, all tests have been
Unknown:passed. Everything is working tennis. And you know what I'm
Unknown:pretty excited about that. I'm pretty proud of it. Because it
Unknown:has been transformational. It truly has been transformational.
Unknown:Taking this on, it really has already. And I thought like this
Unknown:was gonna be a year of transformation. And it is, it's
Unknown:a year of transformation. In my health. Remember, I am working
Unknown:on being vibrant. And having that vibrancy, just flow all
Unknown:over inside out, right. And it's requiring me to also stay in
Unknown:integrity with myself, no other calm conversation. And it is
Unknown:requiring me to hold two things is true fear and courage. But
Unknown:really understanding that something else is more important
Unknown:than the fear. And that is health. Because without this
Unknown:health without creating the optimal health that I want to
Unknown:create, like all this work, I mean, you know, I want to keep
Unknown:doing it. I want to keep contributing and helping others
Unknown:take the lead in their life. And that's got to start with me,
Unknown:that's got to start with me taking the lead in my own life
Unknown:and having integrity and committing to the transformation
Unknown:of me, not just events like surgery, number one, and then
Unknown:surgery number two, because I don't know about any of you, but
Unknown:I know whenever I do anything event based, yeah, it works all
Unknown:all all hit the goal. It's just not sustainable. That's the
Unknown:thing. It's just not sustainable for me. When I focus in on the
Unknown:transformation, what is the transformation that's going to
Unknown:occur in my life, personally, professionally, in my
Unknown:relationships? I mean, what is going to change? What's that
Unknown:transformation going to be? By focusing on that? Right? So like
Unknown:who is Kelly a year from now? Who is she a year from now?
Unknown:Well, a year from now she'll be 57 A year from now she is
Unknown:enjoying life. She is active, She is dancing, she is hiking,
Unknown:and seeing beautiful landscapes. She is keeping up like and I
Unknown:don't mean keeping up like we If the Joneses, right, like I don't
Unknown:mean that I don't mean it that way, like comparing myself and
Unknown:keeping up to what others have the summit. I mean, keeping up,
Unknown:like in my pace in walking and like my husband such a fast
Unknown:walker, and I used to be able to keep up with him, I can't
Unknown:anymore, right? I mean, he'd be like, a block.
Unknown:Me, like I'm keeping up, right? Like, I'm walking with purpose
Unknown:and passion and the way that I used to, okay, so this is why
Unknown:health is super important. This is why it's super important to
Unknown:me, this is the transformation in me. She is doing trainings,
Unknown:live in a training room and being able to make a difference
Unknown:in person. I love being with people, you know, I love it. And
Unknown:so, so many different things. And the transformation to me and
Unknown:more will get revealed I will share more along the way. And I
Unknown:wanted to talk today about the things that I know to be true to
Unknown:help create that transformation. Right? I found this quote, you
Unknown:know, I love quotes and it says nothing gets transformed, until
Unknown:your mind is transformed. Oh, let me say it again. Nothing
Unknown:gets transformed, until your mind is transformed. And this is
Unknown:by a fini, a knock on new Ah, okay. And I think it's
Unknown:brilliant. I think it's brilliant. Nothing gets
Unknown:transformed until your mind is transformed. And I'll tell you,
Unknown:in this transformation, to me, there are lots of things that
Unknown:I'm doing. There's lots of things that I'm practicing, the
Unknown:thing that I am working the most on, is my mind, okay? Meaning, I
Unknown:have got to believe beyond reason in this transformation.
Unknown:Okay, so take them on for a second. Something that you want
Unknown:in your life, you've got to believe beyond any reason
Unknown:believe beyond a shadow of a doubt. Okay, that it is
Unknown:happening. It's happening. See, this transformation is already
Unknown:happening. It's already in play. Why? Because I said so. And
Unknown:because I got to work on it. And the first place I started was
Unknown:with my mind. We've done a few episodes recently about
Unknown:directing your brain in the way that you want it to go. Right?
Unknown:Yes, yes, it's so true. And so in order to create
Unknown:transformation, you've really got to look at who are you in
Unknown:this transformation? What's your identity, not your roles, the
Unknown:roles that you play? In life, the roles you play out in the
Unknown:world, not your job. But really, who are you being? Who's your
Unknown:identity? I am a loving, joyful, courageous, worthy woman. That's
Unknown:who I identify as, that's who I identify as I am a loving,
Unknown:joyful, courageous, worthy woman. Yes, I am. And in order
Unknown:to have that be sustainable, that means that my beliefs have
Unknown:to align my values have to align, the things that I'm
Unknown:doing, the action has to align in the things that I'm creating
Unknown:align, okay. doesn't always mean that I got to hit the mark or be
Unknown:perfect about it new. No, not at all. But they've got to align.
Unknown:Right. And so that's a contract that I have with myself. I am a
Unknown:loving, joyful, courageous, worthy woman. Yes, I am. And it
Unknown:has served me well. Gosh, for about 27 years now. I think it
Unknown:is. Yeah. And I want to credit that I didn't just wake up one
Unknown:day and make that up. I literally went through a series
Unknown:of personal growth seminars and created a contract in a seminar
Unknown:that was facilitated by one of my favorite mentors on the
Unknown:planet Lou Dozier and she literally, along with her
Unknown:amazing staff helped all of us in the room create our contracts
Unknown:with ourselves our promise, right? It's a promise it's a
Unknown:contract. I don't even have to think twice if someone you know
Unknown:if she would ever say to me one day like hey, what's your
Unknown:contract? Me? Like? I'm a loving, joyful, courageous,
Unknown:worthy woman. Yes, I am. And she would say yes, you are. Yes, you
Unknown:are. And so that became my identity. That's who I identify
Unknown:as right I am a loving, joyful, courageous worthy woman. Yes, I
Unknown:am. And now I get to help people create contracts I get to help
Unknown:women create contracts with themselves, you know, in their
Unknown:lives so that they have that and and I do that in lifter, that's
Unknown:one of the things we do in lifter is that we create
Unknown:contracts with ourselves. So you know, it's, it's a powerful it's
Unknown:a powerful anchor. It is a powerful way to direct our
Unknown:mindset. Okay. And so, what do you think I'm going to be
Unknown:bringing in with me as I go through the surgery, even though
Unknown:you are going to be hearing this surgery will have been complete
Unknown:when you hear this episode, but that's going to be one of the
Unknown:things that I'm going to bring in like I'm already imagining is
Unknown:there like you You know, counting down as they're putting
Unknown:me under anesthesia that that's how I'm counting down. I'm a
Unknown:loving, courageous, joyful, worthy woman. Yes, I am. And now
Unknown:I'm asleep, right? Like, that's how I'm gonna count down because
Unknown:I want that in my whole entire being that is going to support
Unknown:vibrancy as we have this surgery, not just the event, as
Unknown:I move through, right, as I move through as I recover, as I
Unknown:continue to take on the things that are going to support my
Unknown:health, because that is directly affecting my mind. And my
Unknown:mindset, here, period done. And so the thing that I want you to
Unknown:know about transformation, is that we can create them
Unknown:sometimes in nanoseconds. And sometimes over some time, this
Unknown:transformation, the one on who I'm being is a healthy, vibrant,
Unknown:Integris woman. And again, I have integrity in my life, it
Unknown:doesn't mean that I don't, but in the area of health, I haven't
Unknown:always been Integris. Okay. So in that transformation in me, I
Unknown:can see who she is, I can feel that actually, when I imagined
Unknown:myself a year from now, in the transformation to me, Listen, I
Unknown:feel lighter, I feel more like flexible, I feel stronger, I
Unknown:feel this energy. It's incredible. Try it on, don't try
Unknown:it, but try it on and see the fit, right imagining the
Unknown:transformation, something and an area that you want to create
Unknown:transformation because it can happen. And so you've got to
Unknown:commit to the transformation. In this case, I've got to commit to
Unknown:recovery, and all the things that are going to be associated
Unknown:with recovery, like physical therapy, it says in all my
Unknown:paperwork, if you're willing to do the hard work, this surgery
Unknown:will work. And it will be worth it. It says it everywhere. I
Unknown:can't tell you how many times I've read it. So I'm like, Yeah,
Unknown:isn't that how it goes with transformation, if you're
Unknown:willing to do the work, and it's going to be hard work, it's
Unknown:going to be worth it, it's gonna be worth it. So I'm already
Unknown:like, okay, one of the three things and in a, you know,
Unknown:mindsets, the thing, but one of the three things that's gonna
Unknown:really help me with this is focusing in on what is recovery
Unknown:going to be like, now, I've never had a knee replacement. So
Unknown:I can't say all the things that I can begin to imagine I can
Unknown:begin with, like, you know, I know what the house looks like,
Unknown:I know how it's been set up to move, I know who my resources
Unknown:are, I know where I can call for help. I have all the things I
Unknown:have all the things like so many things to help with this
Unknown:recovery, I can see myself doing physical therapy, like I can see
Unknown:that happening. I can see myself, you know, even in the
Unknown:moments that it's hard pushing through doing it anyway, right.
Unknown:And I can feel that. Now listen, you all know the thing that I'm
Unknown:the most afraid of is waking up with a bunch of pain or having a
Unknown:bunch of pain. Now I have a very high tolerance for pain. So
Unknown:because of the elbow surgery, I've said this before, that part
Unknown:gets me a little bit it gets me a little bit now. That is a you
Unknown:know, I just like it gets me a lot, it gets me a lot of it. And
Unknown:it's the part that I'm working on every single day my mindset
Unknown:when it comes to that. And so I can see myself like, this hurts
Unknown:right now. And this moment will pass the the ease and the peace
Unknown:and the pain free is it's here. It's here. Now I don't even say
Unknown:it's coming. I almost was gonna say it. But then I remember like
Unknown:it's here. It's happening. Now, you see, I think this journey
Unknown:can be different than whatever doubt and fear has painted in a
Unknown:picture. Whatever I've made up for that. I think I believe it
Unknown:in my bones. Right? And so really focusing in on that
Unknown:recovery. So for you all, it might not be something that
Unknown:you're going through where you need to recover, but like, what
Unknown:would you be focusing on? Then I would suggest it's the work in
Unknown:front of you. So I'm saying recovery, but what that equates
Unknown:to, what's the work in front of me? What is it I must do to
Unknown:support who I'm being in the transformation? Okay? And then
Unknown:you've got to number two, really remember? What's your
Unknown:motivation? What's your motivation? I'm going to say
Unknown:we're not going to always feel motivated, okay, we're not
Unknown:always going to feel motivated to do the things. But what is
Unknown:your motivation going back to your purpose? And understanding
Unknown:why remember, you know, something else is more important
Unknown:than the pain than the fear than the, you know, it's hard today.
Unknown:I don't feel like it's something else is more important focusing
Unknown:in on that. Okay. And then finally, and this is the third
Unknown:one, reminding yourself, it will be worth it. And when you say it
Unknown:to yourself, what's worth it? And that's going back to looking
Unknown:at that transformation of you. And who is that person? What's
Unknown:happening in their life? What's going on? What are you see? What
Unknown:do you feel? What do you hear? What do you have? Okay? That's
Unknown:the worth it. So reminding yourself and go visit and go
Unknown:visit often. Go often, I have been going daily, multiple
Unknown:times, multiple times, so that I'm ready for this, okay. And
Unknown:there was a part of me that was feeling a little bit silly about
Unknown:talking about having a knee replacement, as you know, like,
Unknown:I could just hear it like is like, do people even really care
Unknown:about this? Like, there's so many other things happening? So
Unknown:many, you know, bigger things to take on and in health and in the
Unknown:world in the summat? And you know what? Right there, right
Unknown:there starts the, what's the word I'm looking for you guys,
Unknown:the minimizing your transformation, right there
Unknown:that's comparing in a sneaky way. Right? Like, I'm not
Unknown:sitting here comparing myself to other human beings, but it's
Unknown:just like, Does this feel silly? Am I being silly? Like, is this
Unknown:silly? This feels silly. Like, I'm probably being really silly
Unknown:about this, stop it, stop it right now. Because that's
Unknown:minimizing the transformation of you and don't do that. And we do
Unknown:that we don't give ourselves permission to be where we are
Unknown:and honor where we are. Right? We don't give ourselves that
Unknown:permission. What is happening for you matters, what is
Unknown:happening for you matters. So please, don't minimize, don't
Unknown:like, oh, you know, like, there's that thing up there
Unknown:first world problems. Yeah, there's a thing about that
Unknown:that's true. And also remember, it can also become a way that we
Unknown:minimize what's happening with us, we get to have feelings we
Unknown:get to, we get to honor what's true. And I'm not saying being
Unknown:victime about it, and being like ineffective it. And like, Woe is
Unknown:me. That's not what I'm saying. Because remember, what I talked
Unknown:about here is mindset, the quote, nothing gets transformed
Unknown:until your mind is transformed, right? Do you don't want to be
Unknown:in that mindset of learner, you know, you that's not going to
Unknown:serve you, okay? But please don't minimize whatever's in
Unknown:front of you. You get to have your feelings, and you get to be
Unknown:supported. And you get to move through that. And that, my
Unknown:friends, is exactly the way you will create transformation in
Unknown:your life. And it's important. It's really, really, really
Unknown:important. So I wanted to share that with you today. I trust
Unknown:that there was absolutely some nuggets. And you know, what I
Unknown:just realized I forgot to tell you.
Unknown:I wanted to let you know that the the next cohort for lifter,

Unknown:for women who are ready to take on the transformations they want

Unknown:Just from taking the lead in their lives are authentic,
Unknown:vulnerable, courageous, and creating the transformation that
Unknown:they want in their lives. It is not always going to look the way
Unknown:we think it's supposed to. And we get to trust that more always
Unknown:gets revealed as we move forward. So remember, take those
Unknown:pauses, let go of worry, let go of doubt and live fully the best
