Hello and welcome to number 81! This week I am joined by Veena Murali who travelled the world solo this year for 6 months to the most amazing destinations. As a solo female traveller in her early 20s, we get a great insight into what it is like to travel the world in 2022 as that demographic. We delve into the Stans to hear about the nervousness of travelling somewhere where no English is spoken. We learn about the current state of travel in Saudi Arabia for women. Veena tells us about the breathtaking scenery of Argentina How could I not ask Veena about Nepal? So we compare notes on Poon Hill before talking about South East Asia. We finish the main part of the conversation talking about the underrated Georgia in Europe.
The conversation was directed and based upon Veena's free travelogue which was written of her travels and this is called Far, Wide and Solo which can be downloaded for free using the link below or via her Instagram page. A super fun episode and I learnt a lot hearing about solo travel from Veena and we didn't even get to the Australia portion of her trip. Next time! I hope this episode inspires you travel and thanks for joining. Enjoy!
