A psychiatrist wired volunteers to a hand-strength gauge and discovered he could make them nearly five times stronger, or a third as strong, without touching a single muscle. All it took was telling them what to believe about themselves. This week we ask what that means for the Christian trying to live distinctively in a culture pulling in every other direction: why attitude carries real, measurable weight, and why the only attitude built to carry it is the one Christ Himself had. We trace it from a blindfolded bear crawl in Facing the Giants to Paul’s prayer for a love that surpasses knowledge, and land on three words- selfless, sacrificial, submissive- that describe the mind of Jesus and the mind He is asking us to have. Key verse: 1 Peter 2:9.
