00:00:08 Sayan: What if health isn't a destination that you reach after fixing enough of things, but more of a conversation between your body, your mind, and the choices that you make. Today's guest has spent decades asking exactly that, drawing from some of the world's oldest and most integrative healing techniques and traditions.

00:00:32 Sayan: Welcome back to another episode of Wellness Reimagined. I'm your same as most of you would know. And today I'm joined by Andrew Shim, Advanced Bodywork Practitioner, Integrative Wellness guide, and someone whose work bridges, naturopathy, Chinese medicine, homeopathy, and emerging wellness technologies into a system based approach to health. So, Andrew. I hope I didn't miss anything on that intro. Welcome to the show. It's an honor to have you here with us here.

00:01:39 Andrew Scheim: Thank you so much. Pleasure to be here.

00:01:43 Sayan: Thanks, Andrew. And I look forward to this conversation and learning what that blueprint really looks like. But before we jump into the heart of the conversation, a little disclaimer for all the listeners who have tuned in today.

00:02:33 Sayan: So with that being said, Andrew, I, uh, you know, want to get to the heart of the conversation real quick. What is the difference between, um. Okay, let's take it to an analogy. What's the difference between a mountain stream and a swamp? Uh, you know, uh, you, you often ask this. They are both water. Well, from a geographical point of view, there's a lot of difference. So similarly, what do people most misunderstand about what wellness actually is? And what's the swamp version of that health that most people are unknowingly living in?

00:03:13 Andrew Scheim: Well, I use that as a like one of those Buddhist questions to get people to think. Because if they're both water, really literally what what's the difference between a mountain stream and a swamp? And obviously, this is my one on one Chinese medicine stagnation. So Chinese people don't go to the acupuncturist usually and get they don't explain what the Qi is. So that's a simple kind of visual for understanding what's called qi or energy flow. And obviously, let's say you're twenty years old, you go out for a ten mile run. A lot of people get the flu. They go out for a ten mile run. They feel better. So moving the Qi, so to speak, or moving energy is definitely one key part of healing. And I, when I had people on the table without those acupuncture points being addressed, even fascia and tight, which is kind of like the binding tissue, uh, would not unwind. It is an intelligence deeper than that, but as what pure water cleans itself, that she has a purification nature to it. And it's very much part of consciousness, energy, illness. It's so that's just a simple, poetic kind of way of sensing it.

00:04:33 Sayan: Wow. I think that's, that's really, um, I think that's the first time I have heard something like that. But, but I think, uh, when someone walks into work with you and they're in that swamp mode, so. If you could explain what that really looks like, um, from the energy point of view that, that you said.

00:04:55 Andrew Scheim: Well, to be honest, I used to do a lot of body work when people did get on the table. And this goes deeper now we're getting into you're from India. So really I have a great affinity for the teachings at India. Uh, deeper in the chi and in Chinese medicine is, for instance, liver qi stagnation relates to anger. Lung colon qi. Stagnation is grief. Spleen. Stomach. Worry. So. Sorry, I. I should turn off the phone. Okay. Anyhow, um. So what I found in the real world, and this is a, this is the centerpiece that I would say for anybody with illness. And I see this all the time. There are very deep subconscious programs we all carry. And it's they, they show up. So the, the, the acupuncture points and the meridians are really gateways to consciousness. And so that's just, just, that's the hardest challenge in healing because I, there's a system I, I studied called Pulpo and it's a Hawaiian system of healing. And they talk about the inner child. When you're feeling something, it's in there. The, the, the information, it's causing your body to react. They call that the inner child nature, and they say that is the part of you that is carrying all the memories. The Buddhists call it samskaras. These are these weird twists and turns in your psyche and you don't know where they're coming from. So this is centerpiece to all healing, number one. How do you create? Because it overlaps all into if you have colon qi stagnation, you have grief, but your colon is tight, you have digestive problems. This all interrelates. So the question is, how do you create a language to help get to that information, which is so obscure? And they say it goes back generationally. That's why homeopathy is in the description, because homeopathy believes that you're carrying leftover memories from, let's say, your great great grandfather's tuberculosis. And it and in other words, there's it's like and homeopathy is also very big in India. So the idea is it's almost like a computer virus. So how do you become a good malware cleaner? How do you become a cleaner, like a, like you're completing except, and this is again, the Buddhist use of the term obscurations, meaning the information is obscure. So how do you approach consciousness in such a way that you can affect a change? So a lot of systems of medicine will try to treat the symptoms. And they say allopathic is that way too. But holistic has that aspect too. So everybody has a different language of how they're viewing. Let's say naturopathic would say toxicity in the colon is, is what you need to address. They don't really talk much about the Chinese medicine aspect of grief. So you really have to pull from different systems to put all this together because yes, toxins definitely affect emotions. And but yet the emotions also have a great or the memories, as they say, and hope to have a great, uh, a great impact.

00:08:16 Sayan: Very interesting. Uh, that, that you mentioned and, and especially towards the end as well. How homeopathy actually, uh, like works and, and where it emerged from. And I think it does make a whole lot of sense of, of why we are, um, you know, why people have spent their lives developing and, and specifically in medicine, um, you, you know, to, to come up with, uh, cures and then, and then, um, certain frameworks for living. So I, I, I want to touch base upon that since you say, uh, again, an interesting thing that microbes are working twenty four seven so you need a twenty four seven approach as well. Um, so, so in that context, what does a twenty four seven approach really looks like in, in a daily routine in a real person's life? If you can share.

00:09:10 Andrew Scheim: That's an excellent question. That's sort of like there's a couple of different key aspects that I work with, with people. So now we're getting into more of the naturopathic systemic common sense. So if you do, let's say just as an example, you have Lyme disease. It never goes away. People struggle. They're feeling horrible. That's a bacterial kind of a weird morphing bacterial disease. Or you have Candida. There's a lot of speculation in the in circles of holistic medicine that Candida fungal overgrowth leads to cancer. But again, stagnation, stagnation. So these things are in your body. They're not going away. You have a fungal infection of another sort. I have a client like that. Can't get rid of fungus or you have a long term Covid. So once something takes a seat in the body, you have to understand what the primordial, the basic, whatever the I don't know, primordial is the word. The core nest is the colon. So if the colon is functioning vitally. If. If. When the. If its mulching everything. In other words, if its like a functional septic tank that's called gut immunity. And if they. It's said in many circles that gut immunity is seventy to eighty percent of your immune system because it's like a septic tank. It's the first line of defense. So it's very vital that you don't. If that gets stagnant, if it gets sluggish. This is where the twenty four over seven microbes start to become houseguests forever. Now there's something called terrain medicine, which frames different stages of illness. It's like you hear a stage one, two, three, four cancer. But the question is, what stage are you in in terms of colon health, in terms of these pathogens having taken a seat, the more chronic you are, the more work it takes to have this twenty four over seven vigilance strategy to rid yourself of these persistent houseguests, I call them. So if you're just at the beginning stages of Candida, you might not have to do maybe two or three things. So we have a program that's like what I call a twenty four over seven approach. It's kind of almost like, I hate to use military analogy, but there's the Air Force. The carpet bombing is medical ozone therapy. We have another technology out of Russia called the mission coil, which is also based on lightning. Ozone is made from lightning. It hits oxygen and you infuse it in the body. Another lightning therapy out of Russia, which Russian ozone doctors taught me about, is called the mission coil. It's a lightning therapy. You apply outside in, there's a device called a biocharger that some people go to clinics and use. It's kind of like a lightning therapy. So the alchemy of lightning is like it's very intense. It's very volatile, but you have to learn the skill set. A lot of people go into one therapy or the other, they try it, they get a little result and they go on to the next. You can't do that. You have to integrate. So we teach these integrations in this twenty four over seven thinking. Some of it supplements. A lot of people mostly are going to take these supplements. They might take like essential oils, oregano, oil, or some antimicrobial. Some people are into this something called Ms.. I don't want to get into that one, but it's so important to understand like what? They're injectables. There's medical ozone. There's very strategic approaches. That's why we when people call us, we send them to link to that video and start to get them familiar with how to put together. It's like they're assembling the Air Force, the Navy, you know, the ground troops. I mean, the.

00:12:45 Sayan: Problem.

00:12:45 Andrew Scheim: That they're putting together a strategic approach and they're understanding what each part of the strategy is that's critical. And the more chronic you are, the more difficult it is, and the more integrations you need. It's that simple. And you need to deal with like in the military, you're going to have losses. Well, when you're trying to clean up years of toxicity, you're going to have to understand had a process what's called detox reactions. And that's essential because that's going to come with the territory. You're going to have what's called detox reactions. By the way, I overate a little last night on having a little bit of a detox reaction today, which I had a treat.

00:13:27 Sayan: Oh, um, yeah, I think, I think, uh, that, that pretty much sums up the problems that we usually run into when, uh, you know, we naturally don't really sit long enough to understand where these frameworks are. Firstly emerging from what's the theme? For example, uh, you know, naturopathy, for example, has always been, um, you know, it has had the team that, uh, the whole idea of the fact that body itself has that innate property to heal, right? So, so the idea of naturopathy is obviously, uh, to focus more on the prevention rather than the cure. Right? So, so I think fundamentally speaking, it's it's it's just, it's just lack of, uh, you know, awareness as a whole. So I think, uh, that's where, uh, people like you are extremely important. And so I want to ask you, and before I ask you this, I would love to know, uh, for listeners who actually, uh, resonate with what you just talked about, uh, since you sit at an intersection of, you know, spiritual seeker, you say that you're, you're both a spiritual seeker and pragmatist. So, uh, for listeners who are listening to this today who, uh, you know, find themselves in this conversation, um, and wants to really start with a wellness blueprint. So where do you think they should begin, especially in this era where there's just so much of information really?

00:14:54 Andrew Scheim: Well, I kind of have a vision quest for people to, to set up their own home clinic. So there are some fundamental tools that cross over into what we were discussing, like the twenty four, the mountain stream and the swamp. For instance, if you jump on a mini trampoline, you're going to pump every cell in the body, which is part of detox. It's a lymphatic pump. It's also very you know, you see kids jumping on mattresses. There's a there's an emotional release component of jumping up and down. The key is when you buy a rebound and make sure you get one that's not going to injure your lower back. We cover that when we talk to people, so there's certain key. I always use this one analogy. It's a very good one. If you're going to wash clothes, you throw the soap in the machine. You don't just shut the lid and walk away and come back and expect to see clean clothes. You'd have filthy water. A lot of people with the mentality of supplements are taking all these supplements, but they forget about the agitator. So jumping up and down on a rebounder is like an agitator on a washing machine, and so is using a very high end vibration machine. Now, let's say you had a real big stain on a shirt. You'd get your stain remover and scrub it. That would be more like something like p e m f therapy, where you could dial in on the liver, the kidneys, the organs. In other words, there are macro tools that work globally on the body. But if you have to dial in, there are more. What? There are more site specific tools. This is true in body work. It's also true in detox. So if you have a kidney issue, we're going to focus in on kidney tools, but also always have those macro tools. The third tool, which is huge for emotional healing, it's I call it whole body. eMDR is a rocking motion. It's called a chi machine. And that works on trauma. It works on the lymph, but it does signal a letting go of vibration mentality to the body. And that's part of the emotional healing. So jumping, vibrating animals tremble when they have trauma. They to do a, if they come out of freeze trauma, they do kind of a shaking tremble. You ever see a dog tremble? So it's important that humans have a lot of accumulated traumas in their body that they need to tremble the body, tremble, the nervous system. So these basic movement therapies are both detox emotional. They they cross over. The more you do, the more you understand that.

00:17:26 Sayan: Wow. I mean, that's that's something new for me. I had no idea about that. So I think that that's that, that ending right there, uh, you know, is a clear message that why we should really stay, uh, more curious and, and, uh, you know, take this active role because I think that's, that's a very different invitation than, um, most wellness advice, which really tends to hand people a plan and, uh, sort of tells them to follow it and never really ask them to really integrate it. So coming to the heart of this conversation under you, if, uh, people actually want to stick with some of the advice that you shared and and want to learn more about your work or connect with you on a one on one, where's the best place for them to do that and how can they find you?

00:18:14 Andrew Scheim: Thank you. The links below to our websites. As soon as you get in, there'll be an invitation on calendar. You can schedule what we call it a wellness strategy call. I mean, with, with, with everybody I work with. You know, it's so important that we we find out what's going on and then I can share links. So I really invite people to, to spend an hour with me. And let's really, you know, I'm pretty medically intuitive. I usually can dial in pretty quick with people. So the one on one is where it's at. I mean, when I treated people on the table, it's so profoundly intimate. So I took the I, I took that mentality. Sorry, my dog was yapping there. I took that mentality. Uh, when I do consults, you know, that's everyone is carrying very you know, there's the psychological trauma is definitely a deep part. So we we most people are suffering with one form of trauma or another. So we always want them to have some basics in that camp. But then if you do have, you know, we're going to assess, you know, there's organ issues, you know, disease issues. One big thing I will say also is thyroid. Many people are misdiagnosed with thyroid issues or hormonal issues. So we really try to break it down. And you know, I will look at lab work. It's important. But you know, that's going to be a pretty compact one hour if you call.

00:19:44 Sayan: That's well I, I think I would take that any day. Angie and you mentioned that initial call is a free.

00:19:55 Andrew Scheim: Right? I mean, you know, to be honest, I owned a business for years and a lot of people just won't pay for time. They'll pay for supplements, they'll pay for tools. And, you know, so if you just throw a big console fee at somebody at the beginning, they don't really know if it's that the value of it. So this is me taking a leap of faith. I mean, you're calling a good conscience. I'm going to share, you know, I want to give you the best opportunity to learn to see what's out there, to see what's possible. I always say, if in an hour I've exposed you to this, you have a lifetime, you know, to, to learn it. I have the follow up videos. So I'm, I'm trying to really just open the door for you.

00:20:40 Sayan: Love it. And I think that's pretty much the heart of, uh, you know, any, uh, naturopathic framework. So, uh, Andrew, I really respect you for that. So what we'll do is we'll, uh, folks for all of you, we'll drop in the links below in the show notes so that you could easily find that, uh, calendar link, uh, in the, in the, in the website. But, uh, with that. Andrew. Uh, also, what's the best place for listeners to, you know, stay connected with you and follow your work? Apart from the consultation one on one.

00:21:10 Andrew Scheim: Uh, the YouTube channel is the most comprehensive teachings. Uh, if you go to Google and do at blue Z water, one word blue, the letter Z water, one word, you'll find all our media. And you know, I've been at the. I'd also encourage everybody to look at the top fifteen or twenty YouTube videos because all that knowledge is cold in the more recent videos. I mean, you can look at older videos. We have topics on thyroid. We really. If you want to learn about. And this is very. I want to give everybody a warning. If you're trying to buy a wellness technology, like we, we're incredibly, uh, stoked on hydrogen therapy, medical ozone therapy, PMF therapy, but there's a lot of confusion. And I would really encourage you to look at our videos. Call me so you don't end up just being, you know, I don't want to use the word con, but suede or whatever. There's a lot of marketing online. It's important to understand if you're going to buy something, what you're why you're buying it. And also understand, you know, the I've been, I'm kind of pretty smart about these different, uh, technologies. I own three PMF systems. They all do different things. So, um, it's important to have the essentials and know what you're doing when you go shopping. And with me, that's there. There is that advantage because I am a practitioner, but I, I myself have, you know, you know, people try to mislead me all the time. That's just the way it is. As long as long in America. I mean, you know, a lot of what you're going to pop up is where the advertising dollars are spent. And the people that really are the wise ones might be, you know, somewhere off in the far somewhere. So, you know, don't don't be careful with experts, let's say, Including me.

00:23:01 Sayan:Because indeed, there's a lot of marketing, a lot of, um, you know, gimmick around every product that you would naturally come across. But to understand why you're sticking to a certain product, say for hydrogen water, for example, and what it really does. I mean, the effect does the effect that it has on your guts and, and, you know, what's the, uh, uh, you know, hydrogen like parts per million that, that needs to be infused and so on. So, so for the nuances, basically, uh, you need to understand why and why, uh, you know, you're going for a product. So I think that's the best note to wrap up this conversation on folks. So for all of you, I hope there was something fundamental that you learned about the wellness blueprint and how perhaps you can find what that blueprint might be for you. So with that, we end today's conversation folks To everyone listening, I. I would just want to say that your body is already working for you, has been working for you. Your job is to just work with it. All right, that's all that I would like to say. And this is insane. And I'll see you in the next one real soon. Till then, take care of your mind, your body,
