Speaker B:

Hi, I'm your host, Kristin.

Speaker B:

I'm an encourager, a faith led entrepreneur, a mom and a wife.

Speaker B:

Let's be encouraged in our everyday lives.

Kristin:

As we let our faith guide us.

Speaker B:

Find, fuel us, and fill us with God's incredible peace, wisdom and joy in our lives.

Kristin:

All right, let's jump in.

Kristin:

So I think sometimes when we hear clarity, some of us might think, gosh, that's a word that people use around business and things like that.

Kristin:

And while that's true, right, we have to be clear if we have a business on what we're doing or what our product is and who our customers are.

Kristin:

But we also talk about clarity as far as spiritual clarity.

Kristin:

Right.

Kristin:

In other words, being clear on who God is but also clear on how to live our lives.

Kristin:

And I heard a great sermon the other day.

Kristin:

He was doing a guest sermon at Substance Church, but it was Pastor Trevor Coleman.

Kristin:

And I'm going to share a little bit about what he said in that sermon, and then I'll add some of my own thoughts to it as well.

Kristin:

The sermon was called the Conduit to Clarity, but he's talking about God's will, wisdom and purpose is our conduit to having clarity in our lives.

Kristin:

And he explains that when we have clarity, we have unshakable confidence.

Kristin:

So we have unshakable holy confidence in our lives when we have clarity through God's will, wisdom and purpose.

Kristin:

And as he goes on through the sermon, he explains that clarity is life giving.

Kristin:

When we have a clearer vision, we make wiser decisions.

Kristin:

That makes so much sense because if we understand how we are to live, right, if we have the guide, which is the Bible, then we can make better decisions because we have a clearer idea of how we're showing up in the world, what God says about living and what he says about us.

Kristin:

Okay?

Kristin:

And he says this, which I think is really, really very poignant.

Kristin:

He says we positioned ourselves.

Kristin:

If we've positioned ourselves incorrectly, we won't see the light or the clarity.

Kristin:

And he said, but if we wake up knowing God is in control, that he's got this, then we can start to see that clarity.

Kristin:

And I think probably the biggest message or one of them that he says in the sermon is what if every day we could just wake up and trust Jes.

Kristin:

Trusting Jesus just for today.

Kristin:

In other words, instead of worrying about our future, instead of worrying about next week and next year, what if we could just show up in today and say, then for this day, I have enough faith to trust Jesus just for today, right?

Kristin:

That everything will go as it's supposed to.

Kristin:

That Jesus has got me.

Kristin:

And so he.

Kristin:

He goes on to say that we look for clarity.

Kristin:

If we look for clarity in the right place, right?

Kristin:

We'll find it.

Kristin:

And he says clarity is formed one step at a time, right?

Kristin:

Because of course, God says he lights the path, but it's only the next step of the path.

Kristin:

It's not the whole way down the street or down the cobblestone road or up the hill.

Kristin:

And so he says we're given multiple options, right?

Kristin:

We're faced with several good options often, but only one.

Kristin:

Only one option is for us to take.

Kristin:

Only one option does God light the way?

Kristin:

And he says the two other options are great, but they're not illuminated by God.

Kristin:

And if we pick the path that God is illuminated for us in this opportunity, in this season, then the pathway will give us stability, it'll provide us something to follow, and it'll provide us with security.

Kristin:

And so God.

Kristin:

God's words illuminate the path we should take.

Kristin:

But the challenge is that we have to use his words and his wisdom and his purpose, right?

Kristin:

What he says, our purpose is in order to follow that path, to see the right path illuminated.

Kristin:

And here's the thing.

Kristin:

Over time, our light, or the light that's being the past being eliminated is going to dim if we don't charge the battery.

Kristin:

In other words, we can't just go to God's word one time, see the illuminated path, and we're good.

Kristin:

We have to keep going back to God's word in order to keep the path illuminated.

Kristin:

In other words, to keep the light lit.

Kristin:

We can't just go to his word one time.

Kristin:

We have to keep coming back to it.

Kristin:

And he says we have to tend our light, look after it.

Kristin:

We can only.

Kristin:

Can only ever be fully charged in his presence, immerse ourselves in his word every day.

Kristin:

And this is the thing, guys.

Kristin:

If we do this, if we immerse ourselves in God's word, if we immerse ourselves in God's wisdom and his will, then we will know which path to take, right?

Kristin:

It'll be more lit, it'll be more obvious because it will align with his Word and with his will.

Kristin:

And the other thing is he also just says, you know, we should.

Kristin:

I think the other thing in the sermon that he mentioned that's important is just that we should be talking about what God's doing our life and make an effort to serve someone else.

Kristin:

Because we weren't put here right, just for our own benefit.

Kristin:

We're put here to do good.

Kristin:

We're put here for a purpose.

Kristin:

And part of that purpose is to serve others with our time and talent and treasure.

Kristin:

But I think if we circle back to the idea of the clarity, it's that if we are in God's word regularly, we will have more clarity in our lives about our purpose, how we show up, and also about how or what step to take next.

Kristin:

And so I don't know about you, but I definitely want more of that in my life.

Kristin:

And while I regularly read the Word, I can definitely step that up.

Kristin:

I could read more of the Word right?

Kristin:

Could, I can still do more of that.

Kristin:

I can get in God's presence more than I am.

Kristin:

And as I mentioned in the last few episodes, I am starting a 10 day email challenge called reignite your passion.

Kristin:

Step into the life you were you were made for.

Kristin:

It starts this weekend.

Kristin:

I would love for you to join me, but it is all about getting clear, finding clarity in God's word, finding clarity in your what, what you're passionate about or what you used to be passionate about.

Kristin:

How do we rekindle our interest?

Kristin:

How do we step into the dreams God put on our heart?

Kristin:

How do we rediscover play and get more curious?

Kristin:

How do we live with a grateful heart?

Kristin:

How do we see all of God's wonder in our lives every day?

Kristin:

So it is just a beautiful and easy 10 day challenge that you can join us for.

Kristin:

It will only take you a couple minutes each day, but it will help you gain more of this clarity.

Kristin:

And I know that if you want to have your, your best year this year, if you want to really get clear on what you're meant to do, what you're meant for, because I know there's more for you to be to move into and go and join this challenge, go to kristenfitch.com if you sign up for my email list this month, I will add you to that challenge, but I think you're going to get a lot out of it.
