Shownotes

Rorshok's weekly ten-minute update of stuff happening in Malawi. First up, Malawi is now issuing digital COVID-19 vaccination certificates for foreign travels. This means, those who will be receiving the incoming Pfizer vaccine, should expect a digital COVID-19 vaccination certificate. Malawi is expected to receive its first batch of the Pfizer vaccine this month, making it the third brand of COVID vaccines to be administered in the country. The Ministry of Health announced new, more relaxed measures of Corona prevention, citing that the country has entered Level 2 of the restrictions following a reduction in cases. A fourth year student at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) recently invented a cooker, adding that he came up with this prototype to help reduce the rate of deforestation in the country. These stories and more in this week’s update.
