Sometimes we don’t realize what we’re relying on… until it’s gone.
In this Anchor Point, I reflect on a time when I reached for something small to steady my anxiety, only to later face a loss that shook me in a much deeper way. It made me question what I was truly depending on for comfort and stability.
Grief has a way of revealing where our foundation really is, and reminding us that God’s presence is the only thing that doesn’t shift.
Scripture (NIV):
Psalm 121:7–8 — “The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”
Reflection Questions:
What have I been relying on to bring me peace?
When things feel unstable, where do I turn first?
What would it look like to trust God as my steady foundation?
