And if you want biblical prosperity, you must learn this.

God blesses clean hands, not careless habits.

If money controls you, it can't be entrusted to you.

Prosperity with clean hands.

The borrower is slave to the lender.

Proverbs 22:7 tells us now, have you ever met someone who earns a lot of but lives like they're being hunted?

Because the moment the phone rings, it could be debt collectors.
Speaker A:
The moment they open an email, it could be final notice.
Speaker A:
They have a car, but it's really their lender's car.
Speaker A:
So they look free, but they are financed.
Speaker A:
The borrower is slave to the lender.

Proverbs 22, verse 7 says it plainly.

Not the borrower is inconvenienced not the borrower is mildly stressed slave.

And God did not save you to make you a spiritual person living in financial chains.

Point one of the message, brothers and sisters, is debt is often a chain with a receipt.

Let's balance this out.
Speaker A:
Not every debt is the same.
Speaker A:
But Proverbs warns against reckless debt.
Speaker A:
Debt you take for image, impulse and impatience.
Speaker A:
Proverbs 6:1 2 warns about putting yourself under obligations you can't manage.

And Proverbs 6:5 says, Free yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter.

That means God wants urgency in breaking financial bondage.

Some of you don't have a money problem.
Speaker A:
You have a decisions problem.
Speaker A:
You buy to feel better, you spend to impress.
Speaker A:
You borrow to look successful, and then you pray for for peace.
Speaker A:
How can you ask God for freedom while signing contracts that create slavery?
Speaker A:
Debt promises comfort today and steals options tomorrow.2 of the message is that God honors honor God first, not last.

Proverbs 3, 9, 10 says, Honor the Lord with your wealth with the first fruits of all your crops.

Then your bonds will be filled.
Speaker A:
Notice this Honor God first, not left over.

Not if there's something first fruits.

Biblical prosperity is not just about what comes in, it's about how it's governed.

And here's the truth.

If you can't honor God when it's small, you won't honor God when it's big.

He can give you wisdom.

Where am I spending to impress instead of spending to build?

What debt is limiting my obedience and my options?

If God increased my income by 50% would generosity increase or would lifestyle increase?

Let us pray.

Father, in the name of Jesus, give us wisdom with money.
Speaker A:
Forgive us for reckless spending, debt traps and financial pride.
Speaker A:
Deliver us from slavery to lenders, slavery to image and slavery to impulse.
Speaker A:
Teach us stewardship, discipline, planning and self control.
Speaker A:
Help us honor you first with our wealth and make us generous, cheerful, wise and consistent givers.

We ask for biblical prosperity, clean increase, clean hands, clean conscience and generational legacy.
