A Bad Disposition – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. Our mission is to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on our trek to increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. Proverbs 16:16 How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! Today is Day 1630 of our Trek, and it’s time for another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Unknown, and it is: A bad disposition has lost many a good position.
A Bad Disposition
What is your disposition, or that is to say, your character or temperament? Are you known for being a happy, kind, and encouraging person, or one that is curt, rude, and angry? The path to success in any area of life, such as family, work, ministry, or other organizations, is at least partially based on what your disposition is. Is your temperament pleasant or ugly? Do you find that others love to be around you, or do they shy away and avoid you? It isn't easy to remain pleasant all of the time, but it is possible if you choose to do so. Some people around you will just rub you the wrong way. If you desire to achieve success, you must control who you are. There is no way to change others because change is always an internal decision. Don’t ever play the victim card as an excuse to be ugly with others. You are only a victim when we choose to be. Instead, choose to have a pleasant disposition regardless of your external or internal situation. You are free to choose. Choose wisely. Your next position in life may depend on it.
Ephesians 4:31-32
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
