Will Corcoran spent 20 years as an architect before becoming more than a little disillusioned and looking for a different path. Bitcoin wasn’t the likely successor, but a lecture by Muneeb, the co-founder of Stacks, piqued his curiosity enough to reorient toward something he didn’t fully understand yet but knew had powerful potential to solve challenges he saw around him, particularly with how money is created, spent, and transferred. Now, he’s the Grants Program Manager at the Stacks Foundation, and actively contributing to building the path forward.
I sat down with Will to talk about how he moved from architecture to Stacks, why fixing money with Bitcoin excites him so much, why he feels a bigger focus on design is so desperately needed in the web3 space, and how he relies on practices like yoga and swimming to keep a clear head in the fast moving space of web3.
