Judges starts out with a riveting recap of the war waged by Judah and Simian on My-Master-Bezek, who realizes Yahweh's plan for divine retribution include the loss of his great toes and thumbs. Multitudes of people are forced into labor for the Israelites when their iron chariots are too difficult to defeat. Yahweh sends an angel to scold and punish those who began worshiping other gods, and to appoint judges to try to lead his wayward people.
