Shownotes

There is a lot of pressure to be visible all the time. Post more. Be everywhere. In this episode, I talk about why constant visibility can drain your energy and dilute your marketing message.

I explore how trust is built through clarity, consistency and focus, not being on all the time. And why it is okay to have quieter periods while you build, refine and strengthen your business behind the scenes.

Enjoy :-)

Sumantha:

There is a lot of noise right now about visibility. Well, I say right now, but it is kind of all the time really. Post more, share more, be everywhere. And while visibility really does matter, constant visibility comes at a cost. It can drain energy, it can dilute your message because you are trying to get stuff out there all the time, and the quality of what you are sharing can suffer.

Sumantha:

It can also make you feel like your business is running you. You do not build trust by being constantly present. You build trust by being consistent and clear and focused. So it is okay to have quieter periods when it comes to visibility. It is okay to focus on building things behind the scenes. It is okay to step back and refine.

Sumantha:

I often talk about being consistent, and that does mean showing up frequently. Frequently is not the same as all the time. Frequently means choosing a schedule that you can actually sustain. The analogy I often use is cooking on a stove with four rings. You might turn one up high and let another one simmer.

Sumantha:

That is what you are doing in your business. During a sales cycle, you turn the heat up. When you are building quietly behind the scenes, you stay visible but you turn it down to a simmer. Sometimes the most valuable work you do is not public. It is deciding what you stand for, tightening your offer, and putting systems in place. Visibility should support your business, not exhaust you.
