Shownotes
In today’s episode, I want to share some of my harvest mom hacks I’ve figured out over time. These are things that my kids and I are doing so we’re able to actually thrive and ENJOY this special time together. Of course, every operation and what’s happening on the farm is different, so your situation may not look just like mine. I can’t stress enough how important it is to do what works best for you and YOUR family, and not compare to what others around you are doing.
Even if you aren’t in ag like I am, I hope you’ll still find these hacks useful, and be able to apply them to your own life!
In this episode, we cover:
- Why making fun plans and embracing time together outside of harvest is so important
- Creating your own special routines and rituals that you can look forward to
- Reading a chapter book to your kids before bed to help with a smoother and calmer bedtime
- Turning on a music playlist for your kids to dance and be silly (we personally love Koo Koo Kangaroo on YouTube) while you’re doing kitchen clean-up
- Really adjusting your expectations and giving yourself grace in this season
- Letting your kids sit in the cab/equipment with your spouse or partner, and taking a walk and/or doing something by yourself for a bit
