THE JOY OF SERVING

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Jesus replied with a story: “A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes and money, beat him, and left him half dead beside the road”

WE SERVE OUT OF INSPIRATION, NOT OBLIGATION

Serve the LORD with gladness and delight; Come before His presence with joyful singing.

Then he knelt beside him, soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine, and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.
