Shownotes

Over the years I have met people who are very sustainability motivated who say they will not buy Japanese products and have no desire to visit the country as long as there is so much overuse of single-use plastics and high concentrations of microplastics in the waterways around the country. This is the issue filmmakers of PlasticLove Documentary are taking on.

PlasticLove is a documentary film on the plastic issues in Japan. This talk from July 2021 highlights how difficult it is to access the actual situation and show the plastic-pollution and overuse problems in Japan.

Filmmaker & director Sybilla Patrizia 監督のシビラ・パトリチア and Producer Clementine Nuttall プロデューサーのクレメンタイン・ナット here in this talk highlight topics from the film: Japan's plastic crisis and interviews with passionate entrepreneurs seeking solutions. https://plasticlovefilm.com/

This is such an important issue as Japan is in the top 3 in the world of plastic pollution per person but this issue is rarely covered in the media and there is very little awareness among the public. This film is bilingual interviews with Japan insiders working hard to address the problem.

Update: The PlasticLove 2021 Kickstarter Crowdfunding Campaign was a success! http://kck.st/3w5vN5w
