Shownotes
Sometimes you walk into a movie expecting one thing and quickly realize you were sold something completely different.
In this episode of A.J. Chat, we look at movies where the trailers, posters, and marketing created expectations that did not match what audiences actually got. From Kangaroo Jack making everyone expect a talking-kangaroo comedy to Drivelooking like a nonstop action movie and Bridge to Terabithia appearing to be a fantasy adventure, these films prove just how much marketing can shape the way we experience a movie.
That does not mean the movies themselves were bad. In some cases, the movie audiences actually got may have been better than the one they were promised. The problem was simply that it was not the movie they thought they had bought a ticket to see.
