Summary:

Our relationship with our Father is created by experiences. By voicing “You are my Father, I am your son.” He abides in us and we abide in Him. The words He speaks are spirit and life. His presence is everything to us.

Show Notes:

  • “He really loves the names He gave Himself. Call Him call Jehovah Jireh, call Him Yawei, call Him Father, call Him Elohim.

  • He holds all things by the word of His power. He permeates your thinking, your emotions, everything. (Acts 17)

Quotes:

  • “I'm used to saying God, and I'm a believer, I'm a Christian. But it makes a lot more intimate to say, You are my Father, we are Your family.”

  • We abide in Him and Him in us. And we function in Him.

  • Everything of God that He is beaming at us, 24/7 is turned loose by simply saying “Lord I believe.”

Scriptural References:

I John 4:16 And we know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love, and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him.

Acts 17:28 For in Him we live, and have our being; as certain poets have said, for we are also His offspring.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner, therefore, pray ye: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.

Romans 10: 6-8 But the righteousness which is of faith saith thus, Say not in thy heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down:) or, who shall descend into the abyss? (that is to bring Christ up from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach...

John 6:63 It is the Spirit that giveth life; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words I have spoken to you are spirit, and are life.

Takeaway:

Our walk with God is based upon our experiences with one another, with the Holy Spirit, and with the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our life.

Dale

We're talking about a relationship with the Father. We're talking about our experiences with the Father. Because our walk with God, believe it or not, is based upon our experiences with one another, with the Holy Spirit, and with the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our life. Our walk with God is based upon experiences. And I want every appearing to be an experience.

Trish

I've been consciously practicing, saying to God, you are my Father. The other of that coin is I want to start really confessing that to Him, and I am your daughter's father. I think that confession is important both ways. And it's something that the human being is not usually used to doing. When I'm used to saying God, and I'm a believer, I'm a Christian or whatever, but it, it makes it a lot more intimate to say, “You are my father, and I am your daughter. You are our Father, we are your family.” And it just makes it a lot more personal. And I think that would do a whole lot of amazing things for all of us to practice that. And for our brothers and sisters and Christianity to practice that too.

Ron

I think just the voicing what you're saying Trish is really huge because we were breaking down the illusion. Even if consciously we go, yes, he's our Father. But we're talking about some deep stuff. That's, you know, that's been created by Satan ever since Adam and Eve. You know, so we're breaking stuff that we were born into. So, I think, what you're saying, just the voicing of it, that: you're my Father, I'm your son. It's got to resound in the spirit realm. Especially when you're speaking by the Holy Spirit.

Dale

I do something similar to that. Trisha, one of my favorite things, is put God on the spot. I don't say I love you, Lord. I say, Father, I trust you. And I tell Him several times, I trust you. He loves to hear, I honor your father. Like you say, Trisha, call him Father. He really loves the names He gave Himself. call Him Jehovah Jireh, call Him Yawei, call Him Father, call Him Elohim. Only goodness, and loving commitment, follow me all the days of my life. And I shall dwell in the house, Jehovah, the house of my father; to the length of days. I think He loves to hear, Hey, Dad, I'm home.

Roger

It's true. We abide in Him and Him in us. And we function in Him. And we abide in it. And as we come to know Him and see Him, then that dispels all darkness and deception and everything else.

Ron

He makes up all things. It has to come by revelation because our minds cannot grasp that. That He holds all things by the Word of His power. I think it says yes. He permeates your thinking, He permeates your emotions. He permeates everything.

Trish

It's that scripture, Ron and I think Acts 17, And when Paul's debating on Mars Hill, as he says in Him, “we live and move and have our being.” Right. Ready, go deep.

Jim

Beautiful, Trish. And Ron, I just wanted to say as you were explaining how God is in everything that we do. I'm thinking that is kind of a definition of God's presence. That's where God's presence is, is in everything we do. If we give Him permission to be there, in everything we do.

Dale

The Father, Jehovah, He comes to take up His abode in us. Where do we live? What happens to us as human beings? If He takes up His abode in us? I've got the idea so far. There's no room for me anymore. There's no room for my human nature, my way of thinking. There's no room for my humanity.

Jim

There's room for us to be co-creators with Him. We share the same space with Him. If, if we do that. And I'm agreeing with you, Dale, is there's a, there's a flip side to what you're saying, also, I know you'll get through it. But I just couldn't wait.

Dale

Jim, you're absolutely right. Because how do we pray? Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. The whole thing about the Lord's Prayer is a prayer of our demise. And His completely taking over us. We're co-creators. There is nothing about my human nature, my human thinking, and my human abilities that can contribute to that. My favorite prayer, I get new with God, and this is many times a week at night, Lord, I'll trade you my heart for your heart. Lord, I'll trade you my mind for your mind. Yes, He can have it all. If you give your all, you'll get His all. I think that's a great deal.

Pat

I just wanted to say that I'm so thankful that, that God through Christ is in Heaven and Earth at the same time. He's in our Earth, and he is in heaven. And so we don't have to go all the way up in heaven to get Him. And He doesn't have to go all the way down to earth to get us. We dwell where He dwells. And He dwells where we dwell. Because we're not separate. He's in our hearts. We're in His heart.

Mike

It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits, nothing. The words that I have spoken to you, are spirit, and are life,

Jim

The sense of God being in everything and us being; us having permission to share that creation that He's in. Because we're gonna give Him room to be God. We're gonna let Him be us, we're gonna let Him be everything He wants to be to us.

Ron

You know, as you said that, Jim, I was thinking, the simplicity of having a relationship with the Lord, is the simplicity of having that mustard size grain of faith. It's not this huge thing that we've got to come up with, is just saying, “Lord, I believe, I believe.” Can you imagine that? Everything of God that He's beaming at us, 24/7 is turned loose by simply saying, Lord, I believe

Dale

I want to have every experience with Him possible. I am so excited about His appearing. I think that this is the season. This is the time and when He appears, we will be like Him. That's how I fill up my abode. Because it's not me, it's Him. It's so simple. The Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead, not only gives life to your mortal bodies, but it creates you into the likeness that He wants out of us.
