Shownotes

Introducing my youngest guest to date, but what a story to tell. And you get the feeling this is just the start!

When Sarah was just 17 she was diagnosed with bone cancer and had a subsequent life-saving operation to remove her right leg above her knee.

Now 25, she lives in Holmfirth and lives life to the full! Sarah is an Ambassador for the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust where she shares her story to inspire and give other young cancer patients hope for the future.

Sarah is also a model for Zebedee Management and has appeared in campaigns for River Island and most recently her photographs featured in Vogue Italia.

When not modelling and sharing her story, she is to be found working for the family business, a Huddersfield institution, Marstons Chicken Shop.

In her words, “I have come a long way in my journey so far, from being super self conscious, covering my leg up and hiding my disability away from the world, to ‘getting my metal out’, walking on catwalks and appearing on TV to show the world my disability.”

I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
