Elizabeth Mueller came from a business and marketing background with experience working in Asia as a localization expert for AirBnB. During her research trips for the lodging service provider, she was struck by the depopulation problems across Asia in rural areas and felt inspired to move to Japan and start a travel business focused on promoting wonderful aspects of culture that support locals.
Elizabeth is the founder of Be-Here-Asia - a travel guide business with the slogan "Explorations for the Culturally Curious". She has some great off-the-beaten track recommendations, fun HAIKU poems to share, is challenging composting even in the big city, and has done some soul searching research about #sustainableseafood
