Shownotes

In this first episode of Bewitching the Home, I introduce the elements of Holistic Interior Design. To help you connect with your home, I lead you through an exercise with one room that you'd like to redesign. See what comes up for you when you connect to your physical space from a holistic perspective. This is your opportunity to create and dream without limits!

Featured in this Episode

Featured candle: Beeswax candle from Mithras Candle

Featured tea: Golden Empress Tea from Paru Tea Bar

(The tea blend from this episode was a limited, specialty tea created for the New Moon in Aries in April 2021.)

Episode Highlights

02:14 - Card pull for this episode from the Lua Tarot by Marie Bento

05:15 - What is Holistic Interior Design?

07:31 - An exercise to help you connect with your home

Featured Exercise

What you'll need: pen, paper, a beautiful beverage to drink like tea or water, a candle, a match, and any other sacred items that help you set your space.

Steps:

Set aside space and time to design your space

Incorporate a ritual (light a candle or create a beverage)

Bonus: Light incense or incorporate plant magic through an oil diffuser

Questions from the exercise:

  • What is the intention or the purpose of the room or space you're designing, and what are the activities you want to use this room for?
  • What do you absolutely love about that room?
  • What bothers you about the room?
  • What is the current energy of the room? (You could pull a card here if you're having a hard time feeling into the energy.)
  • How are you using this room right now?
  • What do you want this room to feel like?
  • How do you want it to smell?
  • What colors do you envision?
  • How do you want this room to sound?
  • Are there any places in the world that you've been that encompass all of these feelings, textures, smells?
  • Write down those places and create a mood board: cut out pictures from magazines or use Pinterest or Instagram.
