Ian Hawkins is the Founder and Host of The Grief Code. Dealing with grief firsthand with the passing of his father back in 2005 planted the seed in Ian to discover what personal freedom and legacy truly are. Welcome. I'm a Ian Hawkins, the host and founder of The Grief Code podcast. Together, let's heal your unresolved or unknown grief by unlocking your grief code. As you tune into each episode, you will receive insight into your own grief, how to eliminate it and what to do next. Before we start by one request. Take a moment now to pause and just focus on your breath. Even if you're driving, or walking, wherever you are, take a moment. consciously focus of that breath going in and out and just slow it down. Within each each in breath, breathing in. Relaxed energy lightness, light, bright white light with each out breath, breathing out tension, frustration. You might see it as a black smoke or a black sludge leaving you breathe in slowly with the lightness, breathe out the tension with each breath just be aware of your physiology changing. Notice your body body relaxing

and want you to tune in to the sounds. And for those of you who can. So if you're seated and safe might help if you close your eyes through this as well. But even if you're moving, if you're outside, if you're driving, concentrating on what you're doing is taking the sounds moving mindfulness for you guys. Just focus on the sounds

now in this space, of presence that you've brought yourself to and what you just allow your thoughts to flow where they flow most of the time when you get out of presence. It's because your mind is preoccupied with lots of thoughts which are trying to control so now instead, just allow your thoughts to run where they do allow them to flow invite them in. If they're running fast, let them imagine being a dam you've been trying to control these thoughts and hold them open that damn gate and watch them flow and feel the relief

come back to your physiology. Notice what you notice about your body

notice what's changed feel how the tension has literally melted away. If there is any there still just notice where it shows up. Just in a curious investment investigative way. No control, just allowing it to flow.

Now in this space, of presence, of awareness of allowing we need to take a moment of appreciation For all that you are all of your strengths all that you bring to people's lives. And if you're struggling with this, ever think about the places where you feel most fulfilled and most satisfied. For some of you, there might be projects, physically doing something for someone. For others, it might be helping them with somebody they need help with a conversation, or left. When you come up with lots of ideas, or you're getting full clarity on a situation of the detail, whatever it is, take that moment of appreciation for you. Come back to your breath. And now take a moment of appreciation for all that you have all of the people in your life that you care for all of the things because it's okay for us to also liking things, I love my car. Got a pretty good relationship with my golf clubs too. But of course, we focus on our family, on those closest to us. And in the years that we have in our life in terms of opportunities, possibilities, situations, experiences, and our moment of appreciation for all that you're able to do. For your physical capabilities, your thinking ability, which we just tuned into now, how you're fairly good, the bad and everything in between that wonderful, full spectrum of the human experience

and then spiritually, your deepest connections, those moments on your own, where you feel, hopefully, like now, present, and powerful. And those other moments of connection with the most important people in your world. Those moments of unity, we're all moving in the same direction, coming together for a higher cause. And now taking a moment of thanks for giving yourself this space today for prioritizing you by listening to this by going through the processes as we've connected here together, and by giving yourself the space.
