Melissa Deally:
Welcome back to another edition of health hack. And the quote that I would like to share with you today is simply, everything happens for you, not to you. And when I learned that that was a bit of an aha, for me, I never really thought about it before, and perhaps you haven't, either. But when I started to implement that belief system into my life, I realized that I could get out of the stress state, I could get out of the victim state, I could get out of the worry and the anxiety state. And instead, I could get curious about, okay, what is it that I need to learn here? This is happening, it's uncomfortable, I don't like it. However, what is the lesson that I need to learn so that I can move through this and come back come out the other side, potentially, even with gratitude for having gone through this transformation. So an example of a time when this happened for me, is when I got let go from my job after 24 years. And the way it happened wasn't very nice. I mean, I was given an hour to clear out my desk after 24 years of service and no word of thanks. But that is what it is. Getting let go from any job sucks, especially when it's a surprise, and it's a blow to the ego. However, when I look back at this, I look back at it with gratitude. Because if I hadn't been let go, I wouldn't have had the kick in the ass, to go and do something different. To find my passion, to start a whole new career, to have the opportunity to be an entrepreneur, and to be able to serve and help people in my community, optimize their health, as I learned to optimize my own. So I very much look back at the fact that that happened. With gratitude. one door closes and another door opens. How is this happening for me? I was too comfortable in that job. Yes, I enjoyed it. But this was my chance to grow to step into the person that I was truly meant to be. And without having that experience, I would probably still be in that job feeling very comfortable and not serving the world in the way that I was supposed to. So take a look at your life. What might you be going through that? Okay, it feels like crap right now. And just get curious. Instead of sitting in victimhood, woe is me and say, What am I meant to learn? How is this happening for me? And as you learn what you're meant to learn, you come out the other side faster, stronger, and living in your power. So this is a powerful question. What am I meant to learn? And to always remember that everything is happening for you, not to you. How does this resonate with you? Put it in the comment below.
