Why can self-care be so difficult to maintain? Should it really be this hard? Jill and Linda still wonder about these questions, even after 82 episodes of talking openly about these questions. Today's episode is no different, as we dive into the challenges and hard side of self-care. Take a listen as we chat about:
- All the different things we need to do before we can do something.
- The self-talk about how hard it is and how much this can cause a delay.
- Freedom to get up and go do something for ourselves, the changes and shifts that happen as mothers in this regard and for our self-care.
- Competing priorities and needs. Especially when we are at the stage where we are feeling like it is hard to manage and need to get some self-care time.
- Making self-care second nature and more of a habit, rather than another thing to remember.
We hope this conversation encourages you to remember that self-care isn't always easy and even small acts of self-care can make a big difference. We look forward to joining you for part two next week!
