ry excited to be starting off:

Today, I am speaking with Celeste Brooks. Celeste is a predictive astrologer, life coach, and intuitive. Her offerings include classes, workshops, coaching packages, events, and readings. She also helps people find unknown birth times through chart rectification. Her podcast, Celestial Insights, offers weekly guidance. Her popular Instagram Lives provide astrological and intuitive insights. Celeste is a board member of the Organization of Professional Astrology and a faculty member of Kepler College. She lectures internationally at astrology conferences.

Before transitioning into astrology full-time, Celeste had a successful sales and marketing career spanning over 25 years at Fortune 500 companies. She holds the STA practitioner-level certification in horary astrology. Her website is astrologybyceleste.com. Thank you for being with us today, Celeste!

Celeste Brooks: Oh, it's such a delight to be here with you, Michelle. Should I explain what horary is?

Michelle Walters: Yes, let's start with that. It sounds like a word out of Harry Potter.

Celeste Brooks: Yeah! So, horary—H-O-R-A-R-Y—is a branch of astrology, which is the astrology of burning questions. People ask the astrologer a question, and when the astrologer understands the question, they cast a chart at that time, which details the answer. Everyone involved in the question is represented in the chart. It’s like the tarot of astrology—a form of divination.

Michelle Walters: Totally cool. I had no idea there was such a thing in astrology. There’s a reason why I like talking to astrologers—I always learn something.

So, I find it so interesting that, like me, you did a biology undergrad, then you did an MBA, then you worked in sales and marketing for corporate for years and years and years, and then you decided that there was something bigger and brighter, a different light shining and a different future to be had. And now here we are, meeting each other in this wave of our journey. How is it exactly that you decided to get off the old path and onto the new one?

leste Brooks: Yeah, so around:

Even though the corporation I worked for was doing important things, my last job was to help companies like biotech companies find manufacturing space for their biologic drugs, which help treat things like autoimmune diseases, cancer, and whatnot. Some very important work that we were doing made the world a better place. But I’d had enough—enough of the back end, the business of it—and I was like, Well, what am I going to do?

Anyway, the Universe had already provided me with my path. I just didn't realize it. Before that, I had my first astrology reading, and the person invited me to a week-long training at this retreat—Rancho La Puerta. It's like camp for adults. That’s where I met the astrologer, and she had the class. I took the class on a whim—I’m a constant student—and it just took over my life. Astrology had me at hello. It explained so much about myself, other people, the world around me, the timing of events.

It helps you realize there is this divine order, even with the difficult things in your life. It speaks to the arc of your soul's journey. I just started studying nonstop, and at some point, the light bulb went on that, Oh, I could do this as a career.

So, I retired—I called it retiring early—as Uranus, which is the Great Awakener, came to my Sun-Saturn conjunction, releasing me, making me realize there could be another way forward besides just the grind. And so I went on my Fool’s Journey, and here we are. It's going really well. Although, I’m working more. I’m working on how much I’m working, you know, because being an entrepreneur—there’s a lot on you.

Michelle Walters: Being an entrepreneur, the work never stops. And that's not to say that the work in corporate ever really stopped, but like, you had your time—you were supposed to be able to get off. Like, you could feel like, Oh, it's eight o'clock at night. I can take a break. But when you're an entrepreneur, it's like, Well, maybe it's eight o'clock at night, but I’m still making the list of what I’ve gotta do, right? At least that’s me.

Michelle Walters: Well, I think a lot of our listeners are entrepreneurial in nature, and so they’re gonna totally get this. As we’re talking, I’m reminded of this really wild thing that happened to me this year. I have a girlfriend who plays around with astrology—she’s not an expert or anything—but she met me at a coffee shop and said to me, Well, there’s something I’ve been thinking about telling you for years that I’ve never told you.

And I said, Okay. I mean, this is a friend of mine since I was 17, right? And I’m like, I’m in my mid-50s—we’ll just say that. Anyway…

Celeste Brooks: Before you tell me the story, what is your Sun, Moon, and Rising?

Michelle Walters: Okay, so my sun sign is Sagittarius, my moon sign is Gemini, and my rising sign is Libra.

Celeste Brooks: Oh, okay. That’s interesting. Go on!

Michelle Walters: So, she said, One of the things you probably don’t know about me is that I’ve had two partners pass away. That’s kind of a lot when you’re only 57 years old. She said, After your first husband died, I was looking at your star chart and these books that I had, and I found that you had this pattern in your chart that this author I like talked about—it said you were going to have your husband die. And here your husband had just died. And I was like, Oh, that’s pretty creepy.

Then she said, I looked at it some more and saw the pattern in there twice. And I didn’t know what to say. I couldn’t figure out what do you say to someone whose husband just died, and it looks like it’s going to happen again? So I said nothing.

She said, Now it’s been two and a half years since your second partner died, and I feel like I can tell you this. And I asked her, Was it there three times? And she said, No, no, no. It was there twice.

Celeste Brooks: Did she tell you what the pattern was?

is in my star chart in, like,:

But I’ll tell you—it really made me think. Like, I don’t know if this pattern was truly there, but these things happened. They’re pretty abnormal things to happen. So, you know…

Celeste Brooks: Two divorces?

Michelle Walters: No, two deaths. She read it as two deaths, and there were two deaths. It really made me think that people should pay attention to this stuff. There might be something to it.

Celeste Brooks: But what would knowing that do for you? Would you not get married again?

Michelle Walters: Well, that’s why she didn’t say anything, right? She thought, This is something you don’t want to know. And I agree—it was better not to know at the time. But now, here’s the thing: for three years since my second partner passed away, I’ve been asking myself, Why did this happen to me?

Celeste Brooks: You’ve got to give me your chart information.

Michelle Walters: I’ll send it to you. But what I want to emphasize is how astrology gave me an explanation. And sometimes, as a hypnotherapist, I see that’s what people need—they need an explanation. And it really helped in that way. Do you see that with your clients? Do you share something with them, and they have an “aha” moment, like, Oh, that’s why this happened?

Celeste Brooks: Oh, absolutely! That happens all the time. Astrology gives people clues—not just about themselves, but about their relationships, their families, everything. For instance, let’s say someone has a difficult relationship with a sibling. Maybe they have Uranus in the third house, really close to the cusp. That could indicate upheaval in sibling relationships. There would have to be other indicators too—it’s never just one thing—but astrology often shows patterns in multiple ways.

Michelle Walters: I think it’s wild how many layers there are to astrology. It’s endlessly fascinating.

Celeste Brooks: Yes! And it’s so literal sometimes. For example, someone might have Venus in their ninth house, which rules long-distance travel. That could suggest they’re destined to meet partners from other countries. It’s amazing how clear astrology can be.

Michelle Walters: So here’s an interesting question—did you see something in your own natal chart that suggested this career change or that this would work out for you? Like, what would you look for as telltale signs that this was a good or bad decision?

Celeste Brooks: Oh, absolutely. I have Uranus, the planet of awakenings, at my IC, which is opposite my midheaven, my career point. That can be indicative of a major career change in midlife.

Michelle Walters: Oh, okay.

Celeste Brooks: Yeah, and Uranus also rules astrology, so it was incredibly literal. Astrology can be so, so literal sometimes.

Michelle Walters: You’ve been listening to Mind Power Meets Mystic with me, Michelle Walters, and my co-host, Cinthia Varkevisser. We want to tell you about a special offering we have going on—it’s called Mind Power Meets Mystic: The Project. It starts with a Zoom call. Cinthia, tell everyone what they can expect.

Cinthia Varkevisser: For the first half of the session, you’ll be with me, while Michelle will be quietly in the background preparing to do her part. What we’ll do is talk about the one thing you either want to amplify or release. Through intuitive work, I help you boil it down to its essence and give you an RX—three practical things to set you on your way. Then Michelle magically appears. Michelle, what do you do?

Michelle Walters: I’ve been listening in, but not participating during the first half of the call. By the time it’s my turn, I have an excellent understanding of what Cinthia means and a strong sense of my client’s individual strengths. I use this to create a 20- to 30-minute hypnosis session, which I record and send to you as an MP3 file so you can listen to it over and over again. You’ll also get Cinthia’s three recommendations and a recording of the Zoom call. It’s a fantastic one-hour offering and a great gift for yourself or someone you love. We’ve gotten incredible feedback on it! If you’re interested, send me or Cinthia an email. Our contact information is in the show notes.

logical energies coming up in:

Celeste Brooks: Oh, absolutely! Next year is a huge year astrologically. There’s a lot of change—endings and beginnings. Several of the outer planets are shifting. Outer planets have more of a generational, collective impact rather than a personal one, but they influence the world around us.

For example, Saturn, the planet of structures and boundaries, is moving from the last sign of the zodiac—Pisces—to the first sign, Aries. Aries is all about initiation and personal freedom, so we might see big shifts in individual empowerment and new structures being created to either support or restrict that freedom.

Neptune is also moving into Aries, and Neptune is about dreams, imagination, and sometimes confusion. Together, Saturn and Neptune create a powerful energy that asks: Can you make your dreams come true, or will you let chaos overwhelm you? Imagination is going to be a big theme next year.

Michelle Walters: Wow. That sounds like some intense energy. Any other major trends?

Celeste Brooks: Yes, the lunar nodes are shifting too. The north node is moving into Pisces, and the south node is moving into Virgo. The north node amplifies themes related to Pisces, which include compassion, spirituality, and helping the disadvantaged—think refugees, the homeless, and others in need. The south node in Virgo could drain energy from work, routines, and practicality.

2025 is a year of storms, strikes, supply chain disruptions, and sickness—the “Four S’s,” as I like to call them. Pisces is a water sign, and with Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, we’ll likely see more water-related challenges like hurricanes and flooding. We’ve already seen hints of this energy, but it’s going to intensify next year.

Michelle Walters: The “Four S’s”—storms, strikes, supply chain, and sickness. That’s not exactly a cheerful forecast, but it’s important to be prepared.

Celeste Brooks: Yes, it’s a challenging year, no doubt. But on the bright side, Jupiter—the planet of growth and abundance—is moving into Cancer, its sign of exaltation. Cancer rules home, family, and intuition, so this is a great time to focus on creating security within yourself and making your home a sanctuary. Jupiter in Cancer is also about nurturing connections with family, whether they’re the ones you’re born into or the ones you choose by love.

Michelle Walters: I like that—focusing on what’s in your control, like home and family. That’s a grounding message for a year with so much change.

Celeste Brooks: Exactly. It’s also a good time to think about practical preparations, like travel insurance if you’re planning trips. With the potential for disruptions—whether from storms, strikes, or sickness—it’s wise to have a backup plan.

Michelle Walters: So,:

Celeste Brooks: Yes! And remember, even in challenging times, there’s always opportunity. Change brings growth. With Jupiter in Cancer, people will be tuning into their intuition more than ever. There’s also exciting potential for new technologies—Uranus is moving into Gemini, so we might see breakthroughs in communication, like being able to connect with animals or even read minds!

Michelle Walters: That’s fascinating! Thank you so much for joining us today, Celeste. Is there anything else you’d like to share with our audience?

Celeste Brooks: Yes, I’d love to offer your listeners a free guide on setting intentions with the moon phases. It’s an amazing tool for aligning your goals with the natural lunar cycles. I’m also hosting a three-hour workshop in Sacramento where I’ll be diving deep into the magic of the moon and how to use it for goal setting. Details are in the show notes!

Thank you, Celeste, and happy:
