David Spoon:When it's cold outside, I've got my mother.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up on today's experience.
David Spoon:It's Dr.

David Spoon:Life lessons for our faith that we could actually use, probably won't if we sit on our blessed assurance humor that will force you to think, why does this guy have a radio show?
David Spoon:Here's the ultimate answer.
David Spoon:Why not?
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Also Bible trivia for fake and yet somehow real cool prizes, your phone calls and more.
David Spoon:Living this life not always easy running in.
David Spoon:Welcome to the David Spoon Experience, local, national and heavenly talk.
David Spoon:My name is Dr.
David Spoon:David Spoon.
David Spoon:I'll be your host for the next 5,400,000 milliseconds.
David Spoon:Get ready for one of the more bizarre experiences on live radio.
David Spoon:Here is the key to the show.
David Spoon:We don't know what we're doing.
David Spoon:We have no idea what's gonna happen and we don't care.
David Spoon:But for the next few minutes, I want to talk faith with you.
David Spoon:So here we go.
David Spoon:We're asking questions about living life as a Christian, that thing there.
David Spoon:And our audience happens to be people who know that prayer works.
David Spoon:People that don't believe prayer works don't get prayers answered very often, do they?
David Spoon:But we believe that prayer does work.
David Spoon:And we've seen hundreds if not thousands of answers to prayers.
David Spoon:So we will just bring this to you in this capacity with people listening in the audience who have a heart for Jesus Christ, who love, love the Lord God Almighty, who want to serve and want to be a blessing.
David Spoon:What can our prayer warriors in our audience pray for you about?
David Spoon:What do you need prayer for?
David Spoon:That is how we open this portion, this discussion of this show.
David Spoon:So we want to keep it really simple.
David Spoon:If you have an opinion, a comment, a thought or a question, please don't let it die of loneliness.
David Spoon:Just reach out and give us a call.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:770.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Talking to Jim and Jacob.
David Spoon:That is like heading into the week with great faith and expectation.
David Spoon:Thank you, David.
David Spoon:Happy Monday.
David Spoon:Happy Monday to you.
David Spoon:Gave you a little bit of stall there to give you time to get to the little knobs.
David Spoon:Did that work for you?
David Spoon:That worked out pretty good.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:We have Tyler on the line with a prayer request.
David Spoon:Okay, you got it.
David Spoon:We're gonna get to Tyler and we're gonna see what the prayer request is and see what we can do to be a blessing for him.
David Spoon:Let's open that up right now and send him on through.
David Spoon:Go ahead and send Tyler through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Hi, is this Tyler?
David Spoon:Are you there?
David Spoon:Hello?
David Spoon:Oh, we gotta try it again.
David Spoon:Tyler, call back.
David Spoon:Call back, brother.
David Spoon:Call back.
David Spoon:Call back.
David Spoon:Call back.
David Spoon:It's not coming through unless you got something on mute.
David Spoon:Call back.
David Spoon:Okay, so let me go back to this.
David Spoon:While we're waiting for Tyler to call us, let me make sure you guys understand this, okay?
David Spoon:There are a couple of reasons to call.
David Spoon:It can be a prayer request.
David Spoon:We're gonna wait for Tyler to call back so we can find out what's going on there and pray for him.
David Spoon:It can be also a praise report.
David Spoon:Did the Lord do something for you?
David Spoon:Wonderfully.
David Spoon:Just blessed in just an awesome fashion.
David Spoon:If you guys remember, on Friday, we had this prayer request or a need that came over for Ann.
David Spoon:And so one of the brothers in our audience reached out and says, hey, if you can give me that information where she's at, I'll get her a phone and send it to her.
David Spoon:So I got home.
David Spoon:This is not a joke.
David Spoon:Got it in my journal.
David Spoon:I got home, and in my closet is a bucket.
David Spoon:It's a bucket where I put kind of the loose papers.
David Spoon:There's probably about 300, 350 papers in there, for real.
David Spoon:And so they're just little ones that are either receipts or little notes from the show or different things.
David Spoon:And I knew that in there was somewhere where Ann's address was out of all that stuff.
David Spoon:So before I even started looking.
David Spoon:Well, that's not true.
David Spoon:I picked up two or three items.
David Spoon:I said, this is going to take forever.
David Spoon:So I said, lord, can you please help me just find that piece of paper that has Ann's address on it?
David Spoon:I put my hand into the bucket, pulled it out, and there it was the very one that I needed to send to that brother so he could help out with that situation.
David Spoon:That is a praise report.
David Spoon:That is a direct answer to prayer.
David Spoon:You might be thinking, does God answer prayer like that?
David Spoon:Yes.
David Spoon:You're thinking, well, does he do those weird things?
David Spoon:I don't know.
David Spoon:Did he have a full fish swallow a coin, which then Peter picked up by fishing, which he then paid for him and Jesus for the temple tax?
David Spoon:I guess so.
David Spoon:So that's a really cool praise report.
David Spoon:And so if you get something the Lord's done, share that.
David Spoon:If you've got a prayer request, like I said, we have Tyler on the line.
David Spoon:We're gonna bring him through.
David Spoon:If you got something you just wanna share, that's on your heart, maybe the Lord's just blessed you, encouraged you, strengthened you.
David Spoon:You're just feeling like one.
David Spoon:Wowza.
David Spoon:You're just getting the sense.
David Spoon:Wowza.
David Spoon:You can share that.
David Spoon:That's completely open to do with one another.
David Spoon:I'll tell you how the different ways to reach us, but first, let's see if we can get Tyler back through this time.
David Spoon:Let's send him through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:Is this Tyler?
Tyler:Hey, baby.
David Spoon:How you doing, Tyler?
Tyler:Hey.
Tyler:All right.
David Spoon:Yeah.
David Spoon:Do me a favor.
David Spoon:Make sure your radio's down.
David Spoon:I don't know if it's on or off, but just make sure it's down because there'll be a feedback.
David Spoon:Okay?
Tyler:Okay, Roger.
David Spoon:Okay, get that.
David Spoon:That's always better.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:My brother, how can we pray for you?
David Spoon:What can we pray for you about?
Tyler:I'm having issues in my marriage.
Tyler:You know, we're going through recovery process from addiction to pornography, and it's been like two years of this, and I'm burnt out.
Tyler:We're digging into deep roots and hurts and wounds in my past, so I'm not doing that anymore.
Tyler:But there's a lot of things that I've wounded my wife with that she's unable to love me in certain aspects or ways.
David Spoon:All right.
Tyler:It's really.
Tyler:It's causing a lot of friction between each other, and it's making me distrust God.
Tyler:Recently, within, like, the past four months where, like, my attitude has shifted where I don't trust my wife to help with the recovery process for her recovering her love for me.
David Spoon:Gotcha.
Tyler:So I want prayers for my marriage and prayers for my relationship with God, because I really don't want to submit to my wife anymore and love her like God calls us to by dying on the cross each day.
David Spoon:Well, let's do this.
David Spoon:Let's pray For a miracle.
David Spoon:Because that's what's going to take for both of your hearts.
David Spoon:Here's the big thing about marriage recovery, that process you guys are going through.
David Spoon:And I'm assuming you're kind of going through some of that process with some help, with some church help, you know, in different places.
David Spoon:But what I want to bring up the P here is that it takes an act of God to bring that kind of redemption and that type of restoration.
David Spoon:But we believe that's what God does.
David Spoon:It's not just for her, it's for you.
David Spoon:It's for both of you that you can operate in this spirit of mercy and grace towards one another and rebuild.
David Spoon:So what happens for some people is they have a love, but then when they get hurt, they pull it back.
David Spoon:Because expressing that love and then getting hurt is a harsh thing.
David Spoon:It's a hard thing.
David Spoon:So there's a build back process.
David Spoon:So what we're gonna ask God to do is do that miraculously and give you both the stability and ability to move it forward.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:Cause that's what you guys wanna be able to do is Paul said this one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind me and pressing forward to the things which are before me.
David Spoon:And if you've made that commitment to make it together, which is essential, then as those steps go through, the enemy is just going to throw everything he can at both of you.
David Spoon:That's what he does.
David Spoon:He's a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour.
David Spoon:He's looking to create this problem and exploit it.
David Spoon:So let's pray for the miraculous power of God to change that.
David Spoon:All right?
Tyler:Yes, sir.
David Spoon:Let's do it.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now and I lift up Tyler and his wife.
David Spoon:And Lord, I don't have to know every nuance.
David Spoon:Here's what I need to know.
David Spoon:You, and you are phenomenal.
David Spoon:You are fabulous.
David Spoon:And there is so much pain that is going on.
David Spoon:And we need, Lord God, each, both Tyler and his wife to be just thoroughly honest, thoroughly truthful, thoroughly accountable to one another and to you.
David Spoon:But in that accountability, in that acknowledgment, is this graciousness that comes from you.
David Spoon:You are merciful, you are kind.
David Spoon:And it is very, very difficult, Lord, for people who have been hurt to bring it back.
David Spoon:We already know this.
David Spoon:We have a hard time forgiving people closest to us.
David Spoon:And we are praying for Tyler and his wife.
David Spoon:We are praying for her that she can have mercy, that she could forgive him, that she would recognize him and that Tyler owning what he's done.
David Spoon:Own it without denial, being straightforward on it, and seeking her grace and her mercy.
David Spoon:But, Lord, only you can give that to her in her heart.
David Spoon:It takes a miracle for that to happen.
David Spoon:And we are asking for that miracle.
David Spoon:And we pray the same thing for Tyler.
David Spoon:In his heart, he's thinking, I should have no problem going through this.
David Spoon:That's not how it goes.
David Spoon:His wife is hurt.
David Spoon:He's hurt.
David Spoon:Now there's a lot of tension, and the enemy is trying to destroy the family.
David Spoon:We are asking you to create a unity together for them by the power of your holy spirit in the foundation of your truth, in the foundation of your word, in the foundation of forgiveness that they could touch in their hearts to one another and build again by grace.
David Spoon:They can't do it on their own.
David Spoon:There's a lot of dark there.
David Spoon:There's a lot of struggle there and a lot of strife.
David Spoon:But you are still a God of redemption.
David Spoon:And instead of them going backwards, Lord, help them to go forward.
David Spoon:Help them to go forward.
David Spoon:Holding on to you first and then to one another.
David Spoon:And we just come against that discouragement, that frustration that just drains them.
David Spoon:Just the enemy screaming on their shoulder.
David Spoon:No, Lord, we ask you to rebuke Satan in this situation and allow them to hear the need for each other, the desire for each other and the woundedness that has transpired and the ownership of those wounding processes that they would just own and move forward.
David Spoon:Lord, we don't know all the circumstances.
David Spoon:I would never step into that.
David Spoon:Here's what I would step into.
David Spoon:You are a miracle working God.
David Spoon:Tyler and his wife need a miracle.
David Spoon:Be that for them.
David Spoon:We pray everybody in this audience makes the commitment to pray for them that we might hear a story of redemption.
David Spoon:It only happens in you, Lord.
David Spoon:We ask this through the power of the Holy Spirit, but we specifically ask this in the name and authority of Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior.
David Spoon:Amen and amen.
Tyler:Amen.
Tyler:I appreciate it, brother.
Tyler:Thank you.
David Spoon:You're welcome, brother.
David Spoon:You gotta keep us posted as best you can.
David Spoon:You're always welcome to text the show or email me or anything like that.
David Spoon:And everybody will be praying for you.
Tyler:Hey, God bless, y'all.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:God bless, brother.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
David Spoon:All right, so that's Tyler sharing his heart.
David Spoon:And so it almost seems like a pickup from last week.
David Spoon:I don't mean that in a jokey manner.
David Spoon:It's just that there's a lot of pain out there.
David Spoon:There's a lot of hurt out there, and so we need to care for one another.
David Spoon:And bear with one another and help one another.
David Spoon:So in the beginning of this process, let's just understand this so that we can understand fully and wholly and entirely how.
David Spoon:Lord God, Lord, I'm just before you how we need to embrace each other, love each other, Lord.
David Spoon:That's a toughie, man.
David Spoon:I'm just talking to you right now.
David Spoon:I know of that pain.
David Spoon:I know of that my mom, my dad.
David Spoon:To people in my life, just please have mercy.
David Spoon:Please have mercy.
David Spoon:Let everybody own, good, bad or indifferent.
David Spoon:Oh, goodness.
David Spoon:We pray for Tyler and his wife.
David Spoon:We pray for mercy.
David Spoon:We pray for grace.
David Spoon:We pray for forgiveness.
David Spoon:We so believe you're able to.
David Spoon:And, Lord, we're going to bring it to other people.
David Spoon:They have other things they need.
David Spoon:We need you to be their answer.
David Spoon:We are not the answer.
David Spoon:You are be their answer.
David Spoon:We pray.
David Spoon:All right, so for those that have more stuff going on, listen to what I'm going to say because we have much more to cover.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:You can also text.
David Spoon:So some people are like, yeah, I don't want to do that on the phone.
David Spoon:I got it.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Or you can send an email if you're much more comfortable doing that.
David Spoon:Do that.
David Spoon:Davidemustincreased.org we have people that send emails and they either can be public or private, whatever you want.
David Spoon:Davidemustincrease.org so we have a lot of things going on.
David Spoon:We are going to have some other prayer.
David Spoon:We have.
David Spoon:El's daughter's going through a tough time.
David Spoon:She's trying to get into an apartment and something kind of got messed up there.
David Spoon:We also know that Robert of Rosalind and Robert, he's not feeling good.
David Spoon:And then I have some sad news.
David Spoon:I don't want to give you all the details, but Roger again and his wonderful wife have had a personal tragedy take place.
David Spoon:Not to each of them directly, but a personal tragedy.
David Spoon:And we want to pray for comfort along those lines.
David Spoon:So we're going to be doing that.
David Spoon:We're going to get into that in just a little bit.
David Spoon:But what I want you to hear is what people are saying.
David Spoon:There's a lot of hurt and the enemy.
David Spoon:I mean, I'm reading this today in First Peter, chapter five, verse eight and nine.
David Spoon:And it's just the enemy.
David Spoon:He's like a lion.
David Spoon:He's on the hunt.
David Spoon:He's on the prowl.
David Spoon:And he's looking for places to spread destruction.
David Spoon:That's why we need to stay close to the Lord.
David Spoon:You know, in James 4.
David Spoon:7, it says, Submit yourself, therefore to God.
David Spoon:Resist the devil and he will flee.
David Spoon:How you resist Satan is you submit yourself, therefore, to God.
David Spoon:If you're surrendered to God, if you place yourself under God's authority, if you put yourself in that spot where you yield to the Lord, then more of the Lord is working in you and through you, and he's doing more to you.
David Spoon:And the enemy has less room.
David Spoon:So even if he's prowling, if you're submitted to the Lord, he doesn't have that space.
David Spoon:Remember what Jesus said.
David Spoon:The enemy of the prince of the darkness of this world is coming.
David Spoon:He has nothing in me.
David Spoon:Jesus said, that means that he had no point of entry.
David Spoon:He had no attack point.
David Spoon:Jesus had no sin.
David Spoon:The devil could not take advantage.
David Spoon:And when we leave areas open for sin, the enemy takes advantage.
David Spoon:And he's hunting.
David Spoon:That's why Peter describes him as a lion who's on the prowl.
David Spoon:That means he's hunting.
David Spoon:And he's hunting for people that have openings to sin so he can exploit it and attack it.
David Spoon:Just what Jesus said, he has nothing in me.
David Spoon:No point of entry, no point of attack.
David Spoon:We need to make sure that we're staying in that very same place, each one of us.
David Spoon:That's why we need to stay so close to the Lord.
David Spoon:That's why more of God is the solution.
David Spoon:Because it not only gives us a favorable life here until he comes, it gives us protection against the enemy.
David Spoon:I mean, just think of that.
David Spoon:Think of that.
David Spoon:And these are things that are going on in your life.
David Spoon:You need help.
David Spoon:I need help.
David Spoon:We all need help.
David Spoon:Robert of Robert and Rosalind.
David Spoon:He's not feeling good.
David Spoon:He's not doing good.
David Spoon:He had to go to the ER yesterday for his stomach.
David Spoon:They couldn't nail down anything specific, but the truth of the matter is that he just needs prayer and coverage.
David Spoon:Guess what?
David Spoon:Rosalind's doing this on her own.
David Spoon:She needs prayer.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:We prayed for Nancy.
David Spoon:Jill, Nancy's daughter.
David Spoon:She got through her surgery.
David Spoon:She's back home.
David Spoon:She needs prayer.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:Our friend, our dear brother Roger again had a tragedy take place in his family.
David Spoon:I'm not at liberty to share.
David Spoon:He needs prayer.
David Spoon:Al's daughter needs prayer.
David Spoon:Roger again needs.
David Spoon:Robert needs prayer.
David Spoon:Jill needs prayer.
David Spoon:Let's pray.
David Spoon:Do me a favor instead of just looking to be entertained, seriously, join in this struggle.
David Spoon: Just like Paul said in Romans: David Spoon:Well, I want you to pray with me for these people.
David Spoon:Do that, please.
David Spoon:Let's pray more.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now, and first and foremost, we just.
David Spoon:We do want to thank you that Jill got through her surgery and she's home, but she still needs prayer.
David Spoon:She still needs recovery.
David Spoon:She still needs the power of your grace.
David Spoon:And we pray you give that to Nancy and her husband in their home.
David Spoon:And not just for them, Lord, but we're also asking, Lord God, that you would help Robert and Rosalind, because not knowing what you're going through and being in excruciating pain is not a good thing.
David Spoon:And there's a lot of fear that the enemy throws at us and a lot of doubt that we entertain ourselves.
David Spoon:Please help in that situation.
David Spoon:Let it be clear what Robert's dealing with so that they can have a point of attack and a strategy.
David Spoon:And, Lord, at the same time, we lift up Al's daughter, who's.
David Spoon:You know, it's difficult for Al.
David Spoon:He's got his daughter.
David Spoon:She's ready to move in, Lord.
David Spoon:And then something came up, and bam.
David Spoon:It just changes everything in her life.
David Spoon:And then she's more desperate and despondent, and now Al is having to carry that burden.
David Spoon:We're asking you to give them favor and grace so that this situation can be resolved, that they can keep moving forward.
David Spoon:We lift up our brother Roger again, who suffered a tragedy the other day, and we ask you to comfort his heart.
David Spoon:We ask you to protect him and his wife.
David Spoon:We ask you to comfort them because you're a God of comfort.
David Spoon:And without that, and without you, there is no hope.
David Spoon:So help these people.
David Spoon:And, Lord, I know we got so many other people in the audience, hundreds, if not thousands that are really hurting.
David Spoon:God, in your mercy, help your people, redeem your people, heal your people, encourage your people, love your people.
David Spoon:We're your kids, and we need your help, dad.
David Spoon:And that's just the bottom line.
David Spoon:Please help us.
David Spoon:That's what we pray, and we trust you for it.
David Spoon:In Jesus name, amen and amen once again.
David Spoon:Not a show that we thought was going to happen this way never is.
David Spoon:That's fine.
David Spoon:We want to do what the Lord wants.
David Spoon:We can.
David Spoon:I do want to give props to Aunt Deb.
David Spoon:She was a phenomenal board member for me on Friday, so I thought that was a very good thing, that she gave me some really strong Words of encouragement.
David Spoon:Really appreciate that, Deb.
David Spoon:And now, because we're already at 52, 152, I'm going to teach this little bit.
David Spoon:And then we're just going to exit and that's how it's going to go.
David Spoon:So I don't know what else to tell you.
David Spoon:Here we go.
David Spoon:We are in Titus.
David Spoon:For those who do not know, we are in Titus.
David Spoon:And we are in Titus.
David Spoon:And we're in chapter two.
David Spoon:And we're in verse 11.
David Spoon:Listen to this verse.
David Spoon:For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous and godly way in this present age.
David Spoon:Let's just understand what this is.
David Spoon:The apostle is making a case that the grace of God has appeared and that grace of God has appeared through Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:Do you understand?
David Spoon:That manifestation of God's grace is in Jesus Christ and that salvation has appeared to everybody.
David Spoon:The reason this is significant is that the apostle is stating that everybody can be saved through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:This is not a class salvation.
David Spoon:This is not a race salvation.
David Spoon:This is not a financial salvation.
David Spoon:This is not an authority and power salvation.
David Spoon:This is a we are the servants of one another salvation because Jesus was a servant for us.
David Spoon:Let me repeat that.
David Spoon:It doesn't mean the Lord won't bless you in the things you do.
David Spoon:Nobody's saying that.
David Spoon:But what we are saying is we are servants of one another.
David Spoon:And that's part of our salvation because Jesus was a servant for us.
David Spoon:I want you to understand something though.
David Spoon:The grace of God has appeared to all people, all people will not be saved.
David Spoon:Some people will reject.
David Spoon:Some people will say no.
David Spoon:If you're one of those people that hasn't said yes.
David Spoon:If you're one of those people that haven't repented, acknowledged, surrendered and yielded.
David Spoon:Your time is getting tight.
David Spoon:Don't be that person.
David Spoon:Get saved.
David Spoon:Let the forgiveness of Jesus Christ cover your life.
David Spoon:He's wanting to forgive you.
David Spoon:Why are you stubborn?
David Spoon:Why are you pulling back?
David Spoon:Don't do that.
David Spoon:And then the apostle tells us.
David Spoon:He reminds us we're instructed to deny godlessness.
David Spoon:A lot of godlessness in this world.
David Spoon:I don't know if you guys have noticed that.
David Spoon:It's just a ton of it.
David Spoon:Worldly lust.
David Spoon:Anything that separates us from the Lord is something we need to overcome.
David Spoon:Come over it, get over it, and live in a sensible, righteous way in this present age.
David Spoon:This means that every age, by the way, has its own darkness.
David Spoon:Did you know that they had darkness back in the time when Paul was writing to Titus?
David Spoon:Well, you know what?
David Spoon:We have darkness now in our time.
David Spoon:But regardless of the demonic influences all around us, we are enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit to live lives that honor Jesus.
David Spoon:So excuses are getting thin.
David Spoon:Christians can't go, well, you know, I just, just didn't, you know, just couldn't overcome it.
David Spoon:It's like, really, the Holy Spirit lives inside of you.
David Spoon:You couldn't overcome it.
David Spoon:Maybe it should be less of your flesh and more of the Spirit.
David Spoon:That might be a good approach.
David Spoon:Maybe it just needs to be more prayer, more Bible, more fellowship, more counsel, more wisdom, more everything in Christ.
David Spoon:So the kingdom of God is at the forefront of all things.
David Spoon:This is what I want you to get.
David Spoon:The salvation of God is appearing to all of us and has appeared to all of us.
David Spoon:And many of us have said, yes, yes, please, yes.
David Spoon:That salvation encompasses multiple areas.
David Spoon:It's not just your eternity that is on the line, though that would be the priority.
David Spoon:It is also your actual life here and now that is on the line.
David Spoon:Either do it in partnership with God or do it under the influence of the world and Satan.
David Spoon:The results of the world and Satan are death and destruction.
David Spoon:The results from God are grace, peace and mercy.
David Spoon:Which do we want?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, we're going to take our break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break, we'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:What is the David Spoon Experience?
David Spoon:And God's only like, there's no room there.
David Spoon:It's like, well, no, no, no.
David Spoon:I can not vote for either kingdom.
David Spoon:Well, let me get this straight.
David Spoon:You're not voting for the kingdom of God, therefore you're also trying to be a supporter of the kingdom of darkness.
David Spoon:How does that work?
David Spoon:That doesn't work.
David Spoon:And in lieu of that, I had a discussion with my son.
David Spoon:We were talking about preparation and being ready.
David Spoon:Because you never know when the Lord.
David Spoon:You don't know when that trumpet's going to blow for you.
David Spoon:You don't know at that moment where God's going to go ding dong, time's up.
David Spoon:And say.
David Spoon:I said, you always got to be ready.
David Spoon:He said, well, you can't always be ready.
David Spoon:It's like, no, you always got to be ready.
David Spoon:Matthew, chapter 24, verse 42.
David Spoon:Be ready.
David Spoon:Always be ready.
David Spoon:For you do not know the day that the Lord will come.
David Spoon:And that's not just from an eschatological point of view for life.
David Spoon:That's for you individually.
David Spoon:You got to be ready and watchful and aware because this is kingdom stuff.
David Spoon:And there's a kingdom being built glorify God and there's all the opposing kingdoms.
David Spoon:And it's a pretty straightforward question, which kingdom are you trying to support?
David Spoon:That's the question.
David Spoon:And if you say, well, I'm not supporting any kingdom, then you are opposed to the kingdom of God because you are either helping advance his kingdom or you're in opposition.
David Spoon:And that's where Jesus split the line.
David Spoon:And you think, well, that doesn't seem fair.
David Spoon:We have a great word around this show that we like to use every once in a while, but with tons of love.
David Spoon:Tough.
David Spoon:It's not whether you think it's fair or not, you know.
David Spoon:Well, I don't think God, a God of love, would do it this way or this way.
David Spoon:Too bad.
David Spoon:What you think you're not God?
David Spoon:That's not up to you.
David Spoon:Well, that's just what the Bible says.
David Spoon:Let me get this straight.
David Spoon:So you believe that God can create the universe, but he can't write a book?
David Spoon:Boy, that argument's going to get lost every single time.
David Spoon:So my whole point in bringing this up is it's not a contradiction at all.
David Spoon:You're either four in Luke 9, 49 and 50, you're either for the kingdom, advancing the kingdom, driving out demons in the name of Jesus Christ, trying to make declaration for the truth of God, or you're against the kingdom.
David Spoon:Whether you are verbally, physically against it, or whether you are verbally and physically doing nothing.
David Spoon:There is no neutral.
David Spoon:You are either a kingdom advancer or you are against the kingdom.
David Spoon:And what is really hard, Everybody ready for your noodle to get baked?
David Spoon:Here is the decisions that we make advance kingdoms.
David Spoon:Do we consider our decisions before we make these decisions?
David Spoon:Do we consider what kingdom we're impacting?
David Spoon:Wow, isn't that tough?
David Spoon:The David Spoon experience.
