Shownotes

In this episode we discuss what sugar is (literally - we'll talk about what the various types are), and what it's dietary importance is.

We start by giving you a baseline understanding of what the chemical components of sugar are as well as some of the forms that are most common or popular in the foods that we eat. This includes understanding what High Fructose Corn Syrup really is, and the effect it has on the body.

From there we talk about the mechanisms at play in our current understanding of addiction, and how sugar fits into the framework of that understanding. This can help to empower your own struggles around diet by contextualizing what's happening.

And finally we talk about some things that you can do to mitigate your sugar intake that respect your body and your own mental processes.
