Welcome to unjaded. I'm your host,Vickie Dickson. This is a podcast with a human design spin on building the life, the relationships and the business that you were made for. Let's dive in.

Okay, so what is the not self theme? So in human design, each of the types has a not self theme, and a signature theme. So the not self is an emotion that comes up and we it will play out for you over and over and over again in your life when you're off track. And it's not necessarily something to say, oh my gosh, I'm doing everything wrong. I think of it as you know, those old GPS is that used to say recalculating, recalculating, recalculating. That's what the not self theme is, it's just a signpost in your human design that tells you that something is off track, and you need to course correct. And the way that you course correct is by leaning really hard into your strategy. And the way that you lean really hard into your strategy is different for each type. So we're going to be unpacking that on this episode. So let's start with generators, because they make up the largest part of the population generators and manifesting generators. You're not self theme is frustration. Now, I'm a manifesting generator. And I can tell you, that frustration is absolutely the theme that comes up for me over and over and over and over again. And I mean, if you listen to a lot of people speak, they are probably generators. And the thing that they say is, oh, my gosh, I'm so frustrated. Oh, that's so frustrating. If you're someone who says that all the time, then chances are you're a generator, or a manifesting generator, because you know, what frustration feels like? That's the emotion that's going to come up over and over and over again, when you're off track. And what gets us off track is that we don't start things from the right place. So we don't start things from our ability our need to respond, maybe we try to initiate something maybe we try to get something started without leaning into our sacral authority. So if you are a generator or a manifesting generator, you have a defined sacral. And that sacral is creative, lifeforce workforce energy. And it is like a magnet to the things that are right for you. It will absolutely magnetize the right people, places and experiences to you if you allow it to. But the thing is, we override it by doing our own thing by getting things started by just making things happen, you know, Nike, go out, just do it, all of those things. So when you are feeling frustrated and off track, it's oftentimes because you haven't honored that sacral response. So the thing that is going to bring you to your signature theme, which is actually satisfaction is going to be to lean hard into your sacral response is going to be to set aside those things that are frustrating you for a little while, even though you've got a whole bunch of conditioning around quitting things too early, you're going to give yourself a pass. And you're going to set aside those things for now that are frustrating you because you know that perhaps you didn't start them from the right place, you didn't have that sacral pull towards them. You just thought it was something that you had to get done. You just committed to something, and somebody's got a deadline for you and you feel like you would be out of integrity if you didn't hit that deadline. But there is no energy in it for you at all. So how can you set that aside and instead, lean into your sacral and let your sacral guide you to the next step. And as a generator type, so a generator or a manifesting generator? We have to trust that the universe will give us things to respond to, because it always does. The universe wants to conspire with us. Absolutely. All the time. I always like to think of my sacral it's like there's this this magnet with this big, big big chain on it that is just like literally going to the experiences that are absolutely right for me. I'm having a sacred pull to the things that are right for me. And I'm not having a sacred pose of the things that are wrong for me. So how can you lean into what lights up your sacred because when you are completely lit up for an experience when you love the work that you do, you're lit up in your life and you will light up the other people in your life you magnetize other people to you because you have this big beautiful aura and when you're satisfied you know how that feels in your body. You know how you can work on something that you're so excited about? It is a part passion project and you just love every minute of the work you're doing and you could forget to eat. You could forget to sleep, you could forget to do anything for the whole day, you're so lit up about this thing, and you feel completely satisfied. And then you get into bed at night and your head hits the pillow and you're out like a light. And when you get up the next morning, you're not drained. Because you've worked late on something that you love, you will have a whole new load of energy, you're energized again for the thing. That's how we should be feeling as generators and manifesting generators, we should be feeling completely and totally satisfied. Because it's contagious. It's really important as a generator tight, that you feel good as you go throughout your day, and you can't feel good if you're feeling frustrated, and burnt out and tired. So how can you allow yourself to surrender to things to respond to? If you are stuck in that not self theme of frustration? How can you instead step into allowing yourself to respond to something in the the universe sends your way so that you can have that feeling of satisfaction projectors, so projectors make up about 20% of the population. And you're not self theme is bitterness. Now some of the projectors that I work with, they hear this word bitter, and then oh, I don't really like that word, but then I say resentful, and they're like, ooh, that lands for me. So if you're a projector and you're feeling bitter or resentful of the people in your life, the work you have to do anything that's coming up for you, then that's a clue for you that you're off track. So again, your GPS is saying recalculating, recalculating, recalculating. And what you are being asked to do is to rest. So for you, it's not about doing something that lights you up, it's not about getting into a project that you feel really passionate about for you it is getting into restorative rest. If you're feeling bitter and resentful, then it's a sign that you are off track and that you need to rest. So what's going to happen for projectors, when you are feeling bitter and resentful when you don't have enough rest is that you're going to say yes to the wrong things, you're going to say yes to all of the invitations, even the ones that aren't right for you, because you are so afraid that you're going to miss the right thing. It's like you don't trust yourself enough to accept the right invitations. So you accept all of them, which only serves to tire you out more and make you more bitter and more resentful. So your signature theme as a projector is success. So if you are feeling like a success in your life, and in your business, if at the end of the day, you get into bed, and you're like, Yeah, I did it, I'm on track, I feel successful. I helped this person do that. And I created this in my work. And I did that in my role in this job and it feels successful to you, then you're on the right track. If however you get into bed at night, and you're all the bitterness and resentment is coming out all of these feelings towards the work that you're doing, or the people that you're doing the work with, then you're off track, and you need to get back on track. By getting into restorative rest. Restorative rest is not sitting on the couch and worrying. It's not watching scary movies that have your adrenaline rushing and have you in fight or flight all night long. It's not listening to a friend who wants to just dump on you. Restorative rest is doing something that actually soothes your soul, and that you come back stronger from so maybe it's meditation, maybe it's just listening to some soft music, maybe it's silence, maybe it's sleep, maybe it's reading a really good fluff book that you don't even have to really be super present for something that is really soothing is going to be restorative for you. And lying down in a prone position by yourself is very important as a projector. Because you don't want to be being conditioned by the sacral beings around you as you try to rest so it's important that you spend some time in your own aura manifest errs, manifest errs for you the you make up about 10% of the population 10 or 11% of the population. And for you the not self theme is anger. So you are going to experience bursts of anger and maybe even feel angry a lot of the time. I know that I have a manifester in my life who didn't know that he was a manifester, for his whole life. And if you were to describe him, you would describe him as an angry man. But I believe it's because his entire life. He's never leaned into his design. I mean, we didn't have this human design knowledge when I knew this man, but you can see that he is pushing through his whole life he has pushed through energy that he doesn't have. And as a manifester, it has made him very, very angry. So we don't celebrate anger in our culture. So sometimes it's not safe for manifest errs, especially manifester women, which is who I normally work with to express their anger. So I have a lot of manifest errs, who come into my world and they go, Well, I'm angry. I'd say maybe I'm frustrated or me I'm upset a little bit but I'm not angry. And then I have other women I work with who are like, Oh my god, I have been so ashamed of my anger for my whole life. So if you're a manifester anger is a sign for you that you're off track. And again, it's not that there's something wrong with you. It's not that you're doing something wrong. It is your GPS saying recalculating, recalculating, recalculating. So as a manifester, you're a really powerful being you have energy that is coming to your throat center through motor in your human design chart, which is Human Design speak, I know, but bear with me. And in human design, the name of the game is all about getting energy to the throat, because that's the center for action. But you don't have a defined sacral. So you don't have sustainable life or some workforce energy. So just like the projector, you need cycles of rest built into your day, your week, your month, your year, however you want to play with it. And the trouble is as a manifester, because you're so powerful, you can just keep pushing and pushing and pushing and pushing and pushing. And then you become so angry at the people around you. angry about the work that you're doing angry that you're not further along than you thought you would be. The other things that can anchor you being pestered to death with annoying little details of things that don't matter to hoots to you. Like it can feel sometimes like you're being pecked to death by a chicken and that's going to drive you crazy and it's going to make you angry, it's going to piss you off. And another thing is someone trying to micromanage you, that will be something that makes you angry as well as a manifester. So if any of those things are happening in your life, in your business in your job, then anger is going to show up for you. Now, your signature theme as a manifester is peace. There's a big difference between peace and anger. So you're going to know how that feels in your body. You're going to know when you're off track, you're going to know when you're angry versus when you feel completely at peace. So as a manifester, if you have a feeling of peace around the work that you're doing, if you have a feeling of peace, around the relationship, in your life, around your impact that you're having in the world, because you are here to impact people as a manifester. If you feel at peace with all of that, then you're on track. If on the other hand, you're experiencing bouts of anger, and I'm talking bouts of anger on a regular basis, then you're going to want to step into self care in order to feel more peaceful. So you probably do need rest because of your undefined sacral you probably do need rest. The other thing that you might need to do as a manifester is have some tough conversations with some people in your life. Because people need to know that when they interrupt you and they try to help you or when they question you, or when they micromanage you, or when they annoy you with interruptions when you're in your creative flow. They need to know that that's when the anger comes up for you and they need to know that you need time to be in your own aura to create what you're here to create because as a manifester, you have a direct channel, it is divine inspiration that is just coming through you all the time so that you can get things started so that you can initiate and when that gets interrupted, it is a real piss off pardon my language, but it is and that's when we see the anger come up. And that's when you're gonna get your recalculating, recalculating, recalculating as a manifester. So that you can have those conversations that you need to have so that you can rest if it's rest that you need to have, so that you can absolutely come back to your power and initiate things for the rest of us feeling completely and totally at peace reflectors, reflectors make up just 1% of the population, you are absolutely the unicorns. Actually, I've gotten the chance to get to know quite a few reflectors in the body graph chart community. And it's been really fun. I've got a couple of podcasts coming podcast episodes coming up with reflectors. So stay tuned for those. But as a reflector, you're not self theme is disappointment. And I feel like I don't know because this isn't my lived experience. But I feel like for you, it can be kind of hard because you're relying on your community for feedback. So it's really important that you surround yourself with people who hold you up and know how special you are with a supportive community who will reflect back on you what you need to see. But it can be very, very disappointing for you. Because you see the potential you see the potential in your community. And when it's not being met, you can have this crushing disappointment. So that's just one of the reasons why you want to be sure that you are with the right community, and that can take some time to find the signature theme as a reflector is the price rise and delight. I love to think about you being surprised and delighted. Wouldn't it be amazing for your community to just surprise and delight you on a regular basis and as reflect It's not, I was gonna say it's not always about you, but it's really not ever about you, it's it's really that mirroring that you're doing for your community. So if you are feeling greatly disappointed a lot of the time, my best tip for you would be to get around some different people. If your community is continually disappointing you, then maybe that is not the community for you. Maybe you need to get around some different people so that you can feel that surprise and delight. Maybe you need to feel your way through some different communities and see where do I actually fit in? And it can be hard because you're so changeable, right? You're so adaptable. So you're always able to, you know, I mean, the transits are going to maybe make you feel different one day than you do the next. So, finding your right place in your right community is going to be really, really important and people who honor you for who you are, so that you can feel surprised and delighted. So that's just a little highlight reel of what the not self means in human design. And how to know when you're not selfish showing up how to get back on track so that you can experience your signature.
