Guest Bio(s):

Marissa Pretkus, owner of Horse Trailer Hideout (1506 S Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89104) along with her husband Dane and business partner Arturo, started their alcohol and liquor catering business right before the COVID epidemic and shut down shortly thereafter.  Determined to not let this setback deter their dream from becoming a reality, they decided to open up their own brick-and-mortar bar nearly 3 years ago.  Horse Trailer Hideout is now a staple in the Downtown Arts District community, and they make sure they give to the community that supports them.  Last November, they threw a special 21st birthday celebration for Rylee, creating a specialty drink for the occasion with 100% of proceeds going to Rylee’s Best Buddies Champion of the Year campaign.

Harry Mong III, Senior Director of Programs at Special Olympics Nevada (SONV), stands at the forefront of championing inclusivity and sportsmanship for the IDD community.  Hailing from Lancaster, PA, he has dedicated over two decades to uplifting individuals with intellectual disabilities.  His impeccable leadership and vision have also facilitated the evolution of SONV as they are now set to become an independent chapter in the Special Olympics in 2024.  Harry has made Las Vegas his home since 2009 and is happily married to his wife of 3 years, Sam.  Together, they are proud parents of a young son and eagerly await the birth of their baby daughter.

Paul Brooks Jr., Special Olympics silver medalist in basketball and Global Ambassador for Best Buddies, is a shining example of and advocate for the power of inclusion.  Starting his journey as a Chapter Member President in 2009, Paul swiftly climbed the echelons of leadership within Best Buddies.  He served as the State Ambassador for Nevada from 2010 to 2018 before stepping into the global spotlight as a Global Ambassador from 2018 onwards.  On the basketball court, he showcased remarkable athleticism, clinching the Silver Medal as team captain at the 2018 Special Olympics Summer Games held in his home state of Seattle, Washington.

Accompanied by regulars:
