Unknown:

Hey, everyone, I'm Kelly Mobic, a coach and a

Unknown:

leadership trainer. And I'm super passionate about helping

Unknown:

you find out who you are authentically as a leader, own

Unknown:

it, and go out and make an impact in your life and the

Unknown:

lives of others. This world needs your leadership, your

Unknown:

gifts, your unique brilliance. And I believe that real leaders

Unknown:

don't wait. They create. I know firsthand that life is going to

Unknown:

throw us curveballs that we're going to doubt our greatness,

Unknown:

our ideas and our contributions. And my goal is that you believe

Unknown:

in yourself beyond reason. And I get to be a coach and a champion

Unknown:

for you each week, so that you feel inspired, motivated, and

Unknown:

most important in action towards your unique impact in this

Unknown:

world. So let's jump in. Hey, there, everyone, this is Coach

Unknown:

Kelly, welcome to episode 156. Of let's be honest, before we

Unknown:

start pretending, how are you this mid April, actually

Unknown:

working? We're kind of moving more towards the end of April.

Unknown:

How are you doing? How's April going the first month of the

Unknown:

second quarter of 2023? I always like to say that and remind

Unknown:

myself exactly where I am.

Unknown:

All right. So how did you all resonate with transformations

Unknown:

Made Easy, and the five P's that really helped you have

Unknown:

transformation become easier to help you stay out of the how not

Unknown:

that how is not important. It's just not necessarily the place

Unknown:

that we want to start, right? But like really understanding

Unknown:

what our purpose is, and what we're up to creating, being able

Unknown:

to prepare for that, which includes planning, to stay

Unknown:

persistent to practice, right, all of the things I only named a

Unknown:

few peas, you gotta go back and listen to the episode to get all

Unknown:

five peas because they're golden. What did you think about

Unknown:

that I'm so curious to see where you can utilize that as you are

Unknown:

creating change in your life. So today, what I wanted to talk

Unknown:

about is something that I think is super important. And that is

Unknown:

leveraging the lessons that you learn along the way, through

Unknown:

transformations through creating the change that you want to

Unknown:

change. Because I always say this, that our results are gold,

Unknown:

they are gold, and we love it. We love it. When we create the

Unknown:

results that we want. We don't always love it when we don't

Unknown:

create the results we want. We don't we don't love that. But

Unknown:

man, there's still so much platinum in there. And they're

Unknown:

called the lessons either way that you go. And I don't know

Unknown:

that we always stop and take time to really capture. What am

Unknown:

I learning along the way, as I'm working through these things.

Unknown:

Because we get so busy doing right we are human beings doing

Unknown:

things to create things that we want in our life, right, and the

Unknown:

impact that we want in our life, the impact that we want to

Unknown:

create in other people's lives, all of that. And so one of the

Unknown:

things when I'm working with clients, that is really

Unknown:

important, and we talk about this, whether it's in group

Unknown:

coaching, whether it's an individual coach coaching, I

Unknown:

talk about this when I'm working with leaders and doing

Unknown:

leadership training is what are you learning, because lessons

Unknown:

are important. We do not pass go we do not move through this life

Unknown:

without creating lessons almost daily. If you're really paying

Unknown:

attention, we're creating lessons we are we are learning

Unknown:

lessons, almost daily, true story. And so you want to be

Unknown:

able to leverage your lessons. I also look at it this way,

Unknown:

looking at what is working or not working, and being able to

Unknown:

leverage that leverage what's working shift what's not

Unknown:

working. These are really important things to pay

Unknown:

attention to to keep you conscious to keep you aware, and

Unknown:

really staying in the driver's seat on all the change and

Unknown:

transformations that you want to create. And so you all know that

Unknown:

I have been going through transformation this year, and

Unknown:

like we've only just begun we're only just getting started. And

Unknown:

it's so interesting because there have been some things that

Unknown:

I have learned along the way I truly, truly have learned along

Unknown:

the way. Now here's a fun fact. And this is a little caveat. You

Unknown:

know that a lesson has been learned when you begin to create

Unknown:

different results. Stay with me here, you know a lesson has been

Unknown:

learned when you begin to create different results. So lot of

Unknown:

times I'll hear this with people oh, here's this like I've had

Unknown:

this lesson has been in front of me and I think I've got it. I

Unknown:

think I've got it and I'm like, How do you know you've got it?

Unknown:

Well, I had this epiphany, okay, and epiphanies and Epiphany.

Unknown:

It's like, whoa, like, I just Whoo, I just saw this. That's an

Unknown:

epiphany. It doesn't necessarily mean the lesson is learned yet,

Unknown:

you'll know if it's learned when you start creating different

Unknown:

results, different results in alignment with what you think

Unknown:

that lesson is. Okay, I'm going to give you an example. I have

Unknown:

always thought that I was a very patient person. Okay. Most

Unknown:

people would tell you that is true when it comes to other

Unknown:

people. Right? Other people, I have a long line of patients a

Unknown:

long, long line of patients, when it's worn, you know, then

Unknown:

not so much. But I have a long line of patience and with other

Unknown:

people. Now, funny thing when it comes to me, suddenly my

Unknown:

overachiever will kick in. And I have zero patience. For myself.

Unknown:

No, I have worked on this. I have worked on this. I've had

Unknown:

many opportunities to confront this in different parts of my

Unknown:

life along the way. And I thought I had arrived, I

Unknown:

thought, like I had figured it out. I will tell you what, with

Unknown:

the knee replacement, recovery, not the surgery, but the

Unknown:

recovery, I have learned that I am still incredibly impatient,

Unknown:

incredibly impatient with myself. Now I'm holding that as

Unknown:

an opportunity to shift that, and to really lean into being

Unknown:

patient with myself so that my overachiever is not driving the

Unknown:

bus. Okay, because when she does, we miss some stops along

Unknown:

the way. Okay, we miss some very important stops along the way,

Unknown:

we miss some important signs along the way, we miss important

Unknown:

signs or information, we miss some things because we're like,

Unknown:

boom, going. So I've noticed that, you know, I, you know,

Unknown:

when I'm recording this, I am seven weeks, seven weeks post

Unknown:

op. And I'm like, why is it still not like at 125 degree

Unknown:

range of motion? Why am I not like, I'm like really focusing

Unknown:

on these things that I'm not versus Hold, please. Here's

Unknown:

what's actually happening. You know what, you're walking

Unknown:

without assistance, and you have been for a little while, what

Unknown:

you are learning is that you're walking like you used to prior

Unknown:

to the knee replacement surgery. Hmm, interesting. Now, I could

Unknown:

go two ways with that, shoot, I'm doing it wrong. Or Wow, I've

Unknown:

got to retrain myself in how to walk in a way that is going to

Unknown:

support my balance my posture, the rest of my joints, my body.

Unknown:

And that's going to move me closer to this transformation

Unknown:

called Dancing, hiking, active, right? Like all the things that

Unknown:

I want in my vibrant life. Okay, are you following me? Now, if I

Unknown:

let that overachiever come in, she's gonna focus on every thing

Unknown:

I'm doing wrong. And she's gonna be pretty harsh and pretty

Unknown:

judgmental. Versus when I let the patient side of me come in.

Unknown:

I'm gonna go, okay, hold on just a second. Here's what you're

Unknown:

doing well, and here's what you're learning. And here's what

Unknown:

you get to leverage and course correct. See what I mean?

Unknown:

Because if I'm like, focusing so much on what I'm doing wrong,

Unknown:

guess what, I'm focusing on what I'm doing wrong, and I'm gonna

Unknown:

keep doing it wrong. versus going back to let me lean into

Unknown:

patient me. Let me lean into her and see what she can tell me.

Unknown:

Okay. Again, I'm dropping this in. Because we don't walk

Unknown:

through life like this. We really don't we often walk

Unknown:

through life very autopilot. And, you know, we've got these

Unknown:

conversations with the committee's in our head that are

Unknown:

coming in and yapping at us. Okay. So in order to be able to

Unknown:

leverage lessons and leverage learning, and again, it's two

Unknown:

different things. What am I learning along the way? Where

Unknown:

can I leverage it? And what was a lesson that is completely

Unknown:

learned? Meaning like, I'm already creating different

Unknown:

results. Okay. Lessons I'm learning along the way is one,

Unknown:

I'm learning them. I'm practicing new things. I'm

Unknown:

studying it, I'm examining it, I'm being conscious with it. And

Unknown:

then there's lessons learned. It's internalized. I'm creating

Unknown:

new rules. All new things are happening. You know what that's

Unknown:

going to require? Patience,

Unknown:

patience. Let me say it one more time, patience, okay? So

Unknown:

whatever tendencies you have, whether they're like

Unknown:

overachieving or perfection or pleasing are, you know, there's

Unknown:

a million tendencies out there, right? We can combat them by

Unknown:

leaning into being patient with ourselves and understanding that

Unknown:

we are on a journey, we are on an adventure, right? And that

Unknown:

there's a difference between a light bulb moment and new

Unknown:

results. Okay, there's a distinction between the two, a

Unknown:

light bulb moment, I have an epiphany, whoa, like, the first

Unknown:

time I literally I was like, Oh, I'm being really hard on myself,

Unknown:

shoot, apparently, I have, like, I just got this epiphany, I am

Unknown:

still not patient with myself. A fun fact, I thought I had really

Unknown:

been working on that and had arrived, I had not yet that's

Unknown:

okay. Doesn't mean that by the way, when the lesson gets

Unknown:

learned that I may not have moments where I am not patient,

Unknown:

or whatever that is, okay. But in the evolving in the becoming

Unknown:

of me, if you will, because that's part of my transformation

Unknown:

this year, this healthy version of me, mind, body, soul, you

Unknown:

know, mentally, emotionally, physically, I feel really solid

Unknown:

mentally and emotionally. At times, sometimes, maybe not so

Unknown:

much. But it's the physical, that's really the transformation

Unknown:

that actually is contributing to the mental and the emotional

Unknown:

part too. It just all works together. So what I want to say

Unknown:

is, whatever you're up to, in creating the transformations

Unknown:

that you want in your life, which essentially is the change

Unknown:

that you want to create, you're going to notice that you want to

Unknown:

leverage lessons that you are currently learning, and that you

Unknown:

are working on having learned put a period on the end of that,

Unknown:

right, and that there are two two to two different things.

Unknown:

Lessons I'm learning, I'm still in the learning. So I'm still in

Unknown:

the learning of patience. Fun fact, that's going to require

Unknown:

patience, yay, this is so efficient. It's so efficient,

Unknown:

learning to be patient with myself so that I create that

Unknown:

vibrancy that I want in all areas of my life. Okay, this is

Unknown:

how it works. Are you following me? Are you getting any

Unknown:

lightbulb moments? Are you getting any like, oh, aha,

Unknown:

something that might be occurring with you, I'm giving

Unknown:

you a real life example. That's currently happening with me, and

Unknown:

an area that I get to work on and the leverage to find out,

Unknown:

the more that's going to get revealed with this, okay? So

Unknown:

leveraging our lessons requires us to a number one, be

Unknown:

conscious, Hey, be conscious be present. Because when you're

Unknown:

present, you're going to start to see things you like, don't go

Unknown:

to autopilot, because we're going to miss a beat. Okay? Stay

Unknown:

conscious, stay present, it is going to require you number two

Unknown:

to be patient. My lesson right now happens to be in the area of

Unknown:

patients. So isn't that great? That that's number two. That's

Unknown:

the second one present. Number one, P number two, P is patient.

Unknown:

And number three, is staying persistent. Okay, so going back

Unknown:

to what we talked about last week, and transformations Made

Unknown:

Easy, the five P's, okay, in really being able to work with

Unknown:

learning, and continuing to learn, I like to bring in those

Unknown:

three P's. Stay present, stay patient, and stay persistent.

Unknown:

Okay? Because what I love about this is like every day is a

Unknown:

brand new moment of now, every opportunity is a brand new

Unknown:

moment of now, and I will tell you what, in staying with those

Unknown:

three P's, right, present, patient and persistent in

Unknown:

learning what we're supposed to be learning here, right in

Unknown:

Greeley grabbing the lessons so that we can leverage them in our

Unknown:

life. And when I when I say leverage, it just means utilize

Unknown:

them to your benefit. i Who doesn't want to do that.

Unknown:

Therefore, that kind of helps us well, let's say that actually

Unknown:

does help us not kind of that helps us stay in the game. Stay

Unknown:

in the game. It makes it more fun. It helps bring out

Unknown:

curiosity versus our judge. Right? It's like I'm more it's

Unknown:

gonna get revealed or I cannot wait to see what happens. It

Unknown:

gives us a different mindset. It gives us a different attitude,

Unknown:

as we're moving through whatever is in front of us. So you know

Unknown:

sometimes when you see those people out there that are very,

Unknown:

you know, they're out there. They're like moving through

Unknown:

things and they make it look easy. I am not suggesting that

Unknown:

it is easy for them. It's that their mindset and their attitude

Unknown:

and stay In, you know, very present very patient and very

Unknown:

persistent is assisting them and having it look easy to anybody

Unknown:

else, anybody out there that might be watching, okay, that's

Unknown:

their secret to success, that is the secret to success. So that

Unknown:

is what I've got when we're talking about leveraging

Unknown:

lessons. And I am going to really dive into this so much

Unknown:

more in May, and really bring this even more to light for all

Unknown:

of us. Because anything that's going to help us create the

Unknown:

success, we decide, I am here for it, and I'm here to help you

Unknown:

take the lead in your life with it. So remember, you have a

Unknown:

choice to lead your life or follow your circumstances. Life

Unknown:

is about KNOWING passions, purpose, values, creating that

Unknown:

impact in your life and in the lives of others. And really, who

Unknown:

emerges from that are authentic, vulnerable, courageous and

Unknown:

willing to stay in the learning of life. Okay, so that they are

Unknown:

slaying those outcomes and goals that they want. It almost always

Unknown:

never looks the way we think it's supposed to. And we get to

Unknown:

trust that more always gets revealed as we move forward. So

Unknown:

remember, take pauses, let go of worry, let go of doubt, let go

Unknown:

of fear, and live fully the best version of you. You guys, thank

Unknown:

you so much for listening today. I know there was great value, I

Unknown:

cannot wait to dive into this topic even more. It's so juicy,

Unknown:

juicy. Good. And we're going to do that together. So have a

Unknown:

great week ahead and you know the drill if it's not shaping up

Unknown:

the way you want it to take the lead and create a fantastic one.

Unknown:

I'll talk with you all next week. Take care. Thanks for
