My friend Anoush and I came together to talk about astrology and her being a new mom to baby Mia, but the conversation took a surprising turn! We ended up talking about biology, astronomy (and if astrology is a science or not), and philosophy.
As deep as those topics can get, we kept things light by giggling every five minutes because we can’t take life too seriously, right?
While Anoush went through almost all the most major of changes in the past two years (having a baby, getting married, getting a new job), she has navigated it all with grace and a sense of humor.
Anoush has a whopping 6 placements in Leo...but she doesn’t resonate with traditional “Leo” characteristics! We talk through this, as well as the damage that stereotyping by sun sign can do both for others and ourselves.
Tune in if you’ve ever felt like you don’t resonate with a part of your chart and to dispel all those silly astrological stereotypes that we so often can peg ourselves in.
So it's good to know that the reason why I'm constantly changing, it's maybe not a bad thing, but it's more of like what I need to break a cycle. I think that's really cool

Hi Anoush!
Lynnette:Welcome to It's Astrological.
Anoush:Hi, Lynnette, how are you?
Lynnette:I am great.
Lynnette:We're already having so much fun.
Lynnette:I'm so happy to have you here and on mother's day,
Lynnette:nonetheless, here in the U.S.
Lynnette:I know this won't come out for a couple of weeks, but you're a new mom and Mia
Lynnette:is the cutest, and I'm so excited to dig into what this big life change has
Lynnette:meant for you over the past six months?
Anoush:yes, six months.
Anoush:Six Months.
Anoush:Thank you for having me, Lynnette.
Anoush:I'm so excited.
Lynnette:This is going to be so fun.
Lynnette:Anoush and I also used to work together.
Lynnette:I make very good friends from work.
Lynnette:Anoush, where are you in the world?
Lynnette:And what's your cultural background?
Lynnette:How did you grow up?
Anoush:I'm in Buenos Aires in Argentina, I grew up in, an Armenian household.
Anoush:My parents are Armenian descent and, I was raised with the Armenian culture
Anoush:and the Argentinian culture as well.
Anoush:I went to an English school.
Anoush:So I got English things too, and, yup, I have a mixture of everything.
Lynnette:Have you lived in Buenos Aires your whole life?
Anoush:No, actually I was born in Cordoba, which is
Anoush:another province in Argentina.
Anoush:It's right in the middle.
Anoush:and I came here when I was 10.
Anoush:I went to high school here and I'm still here, so
Lynnette:That is a very dynamic background.
Lynnette:I love that.
Anoush:Yeah, it's a mixture of everything.
Lynnette:And what is your background as it relates to astrology?
Lynnette:How long have you known about astrology?
Lynnette:What has brought you into being interested in astrology?
Anoush:don't know what got me interested in it, but six years ago, I bought
Anoush:myself an astrology for dummies book.
Anoush:and It was not for dummies at all.
Anoush:because it taught you how to actually create a chart and read it.
Anoush:So I started like reading it and then I was like, Oh, well this is not for me.
Anoush:And then I went to an astrologer to have my chart read, like three years ago and
Anoush:my sister-in-law is also, into astrology.
Anoush:So we talk about it a lot.
Anoush:I don't remember anything.
Anoush:every time somebody says anything to me, I'm like, oh yeah, because my sun is this.
Anoush:And like, and two weeks later, I'm like, what was my sun?
Anoush:Like, no, of course I know what my sun is but you know what I mean?
Anoush:but, all the planets and everything, like, it's really a lot of information.
Anoush:I don't know how you do it by the way.
Anoush:so, I really find it really interesting.
Anoush:I think that what resonated with me the most is when they read the chart.
Anoush:And I felt so described and there were so many things that made sense.
Anoush:and that's when I said, well, this makes total sense.
Anoush:as a, as a science, or what it, what is it by the way?
Lynnette:That is a great question.
Lynnette:I think it depends on who you ask.
Lynnette:So
Lynnette:thousands of years ago, astrology and astronomy were the same thing.
Lynnette:we're talking about, way back the Johannes Kepplers and the people who really
Lynnette:established astrology is what it is.
Lynnette:They were astronomers.
Lynnette:and then once the divide happened between the two, that's when
Lynnette:astrology started to be called a pseudo science and you know, worse.
Lynnette:obviously that's not my belief being that we're on this podcast right now.
Lynnette:but would consider it to be a science because I'm an astrologer.
Lynnette:And I think that it does have, its background in science, but I think in
Lynnette:today's world, it also holds so much magic and like mysticism as well.
Lynnette:I think it's evolved.
Lynnette:I don't know.
Lynnette:I mean, even if you're talking about, physics today and things
Lynnette:like that, the world's scientists are really realizing that we don't
Lynnette:know as much as we think, and that there's a lot that's unexplainable.
Lynnette:So, if the world's top scientists are coming to that conclusion, then astrology
Lynnette:also kind of fits into that category.
Lynnette:So I don't know anoush, you just posed a very deep question to the person who's
Lynnette:supposed to be posing deep questions.
Lynnette:So Anoush, you have had a major life change over the
Lynnette:past year and a half, right?
Lynnette:Because not only did you have a baby most recently, but before that you
Lynnette:were pregnant for nine months and you got married and you're going to get
Lynnette:married again in real life because the whole world was closed for two years.
Lynnette:tell us all about that.
Lynnette:That's a lot to happen in someone's life.
Anoush:It's a lot.
Anoush:yeah, I don't know.
Anoush:every since the pandemic started, my life has had so many changes, like,
Anoush:well, the pandemic that's one of them.
Anoush:but I started a new job right in the pandemic, I got married, in city hall
Anoush:because we couldn't do our actual wedding.
Anoush:and, we had already paid for it, we're going to do it by the end of this year.
Anoush:So we're really excited about that.
Anoush:But the excitement changed a lot because we got pregnant last year and as you
Anoush:said, we had Mia, How has it been?
Anoush:A rollercoaster in every way, emotionally, physically, philosophically.
Anoush:it's been such a journey.
Anoush:being a mom is, well, at least for me, I think it's very personal, but I
Anoush:think it's, I don't know the best thing that ever happened to me in every way.
Anoush:I totally understand that there's people that may not feel that way.
Anoush:And it's completely understandable.
Anoush:I'm going to talk about my experience that it's, I don't know, life
Anoush:changing, as you said, mindblowing.
Anoush:there's a lot of things that you think you understand It shows you
Anoush:that you don't understand anything.
Anoush:And it's so crazy because I created a tiny human, like it's, it's insane.
Anoush:I was talking to my husband yesterday about this and I was saying like,
Anoush:we sort of duplicated ourselves.
Anoush:Like, it's insane if you think about it as if we were, cells and we're doing like
Anoush:mitosis or something, I'm not that good at science, but I think the correct term,
Anoush:like, I dunno, we duplicated ourselves and something else came out of us.
Anoush:Like it's so insane.
Anoush:and I don't know if she has her own personality.
Anoush:She has, a brain that works and like she learning constantly.
Anoush:It's insane to watch her grow.
Anoush:It's all mind blowing.
Anoush:That's my, my take from motherhood.
Lynnette:and now that she's six months old, I've happily seen her from a
Lynnette:little tiny nugget to the little, slightly chubbier nugget that she is now.
Lynnette:but you know, you're talking about watching her develop and
Lynnette:grow into her own personality.
Lynnette:So what has that looked like from, day 14, we'll say once you settled
Lynnette:down and were like, wow, this is mine, until now where, she's developing more
Lynnette:and she's smiling and there's a big difference between that early stage now.
Lynnette:What's the difference in how you're feeling about all of this?
Anoush:It is crazy.
Anoush:I'm a little scared in certain moments.
Anoush:I think that sometimes you get lost in the day-to-day and when she does
Anoush:something new or she does something very interesting, you're blown away again.
Anoush:it's, I'm sorry for saying that I'm blown away all the time, but
Anoush:honestly, that's how I feel I feel like, I don't know if you got really
Anoush:high and everything's like, wow.
Anoush:but honestly everything's really, it blows your mind.
Anoush:I remember when she discovered her hands, she was.
Anoush:Looking at them, in awe it's amazing to be a witness of everything
Anoush:that's happening and her personality is coming out slowly each day.
Anoush:And I don't know what, she's going to be like yet.
Anoush:I can sense, that she's going to be very calm with some things that she's going
Anoush:to get very frustrated with others.
Anoush:she's going to be very resilient too, because she doesn't give up so
Anoush:easily when a challenge comes her way.
Anoush:and I don't know, it makes me feel.
Anoush:Anxious.
Anoush:I want to know how she's going to be like, I also want to see her grow up so much.
Anoush:I want to see everything that comes her way.
Anoush:I want to see her as a teenager.
Anoush:I want to see her when she's older.
Anoush:I want to have a relationship with her when she's, 30 years old
Anoush:as I have with my mom right now.
Anoush:Like, I I want to see all of that.
Anoush:it's amazing.
Anoush:It's a, it's a great experience.
Lynnette:well, that's magical and it sounds like Mia has made you
Lynnette:high on life to your point earlier.
Anoush:Totally.
Anoush:Yeah.
Anoush:And the priorities changed
Lynnette:So have you looked at Mia's chart at all?
Anoush:I have, because somebody printed one for me and gave it to me as a gift.
Anoush:my aunt, actually, she gave it to me as a gift for when she was
Anoush:born, but I didn't understand it.
Anoush:And I want to know a little bit about it, but at the same time,
Anoush:I want to see like in the future, that like, sort of makes sense.
Anoush:I don't want to be skewed into raising her.
Lynnette:Totally.
Lynnette:that's a really controversial topic in astrology is, literal birth chart
Lynnette:readings when the baby's first born or even readings for children because they're
Lynnette:becoming who they're going to become.
Lynnette:And to your point, you don't want to introduce any bias, maybe.
Lynnette:on the other hand, I think just understanding maybe some of the
Lynnette:expressions of different energies could help in terms of being
Lynnette:just a roadmap for what might come down the road at some point.
Anoush:Yeah,
Lynnette:so I don't know.
Lynnette:I see both sides of it and I totally understand, both sides of it as
Lynnette:well because, you know, I'm not a mom yet, but for me I feel like I
Lynnette:would number one immediately, like we were talking about when you had
Lynnette:Mia, at like, make sure someone knows exact time of when she's born.
Anoush:that was one of Javi's jobs like to keep a record of
Anoush:the exact time she came out.
Lynnette:because a lot of hospitals like the nurses, maybe like five,
Lynnette:10 minutes off, and, if it really comes down to one of those times
Lynnette:where signs are changing, that's a big deal, like five or 10 minutes.
Lynnette:So good job Javi.
Lynnette:I think that's very important.
Lynnette:but even just knowing the sun moon rising you're not going too far into the deep
Lynnette:end of the whole chart and where is every single planet and all of that stuff, but
Lynnette:you have an idea of what the energy was when that baby took its first breath.
Lynnette:And you can just start to see if that resonates or not.
Lynnette:but it's not like getting too deep into it.
Anoush:I think this is very case specific, in this case, in particular,
Anoush:everybody, I mean, everybody that knows a little bit about astrology
Anoush:came to me and said, she's a Scorpio.
Anoush:You're screwed basically.
Anoush:So, that's why I didn't want to know anything because I didn't want to, like,
Anoush:get into a fight with her or whatever.
Anoush:She's six months old.
Anoush:That's like, I'm way ahead of myself.
Anoush:You know what I mean?
Anoush:Like, I didn't want to be, biased as you were saying, because she's a Scorpio
Anoush:and all of that, as we were discussing before the recording started, I'm a
Anoush:Leo and I'm not that showy, you know?
Anoush:and I don't know if she's going to be like that and I want to know what she's gonna
Anoush:be like without having people telling me that she's going to be very intense.
Anoush:if maybe she was born in a different month with a different sign, I would
Anoush:have checked everything from the start.
Anoush:But in this case, I didn't want to, because I felt like everybody was giving
Anoush:me a lot of energy telling me that she was going to be very difficult.
Anoush:And I didn't like that.
Lynnette:Oh my gosh.
Lynnette:Well, I know that you and I talked about it before.
Lynnette:cause you were kind of close to the Libra Scorpio, but like you always
Lynnette:felt like it was going to be in Scorpio season I say this lot, and it's
Lynnette:actually funny, cause you're a Leo.
Lynnette:I think Leo and Scorpio are the most highly stereotyped signs.
Lynnette:I'm not sure how to say that, but I think whenever anybody thinks of astrology,
Lynnette:they think of Leo is as being as dramatic and Scorpios as being like dark brooding,
Lynnette:goths, you know, like, you know, we've started to see more and more memes around
Lynnette:Valentine's day that say like, don't get pregnant because you're going to
Lynnette:have a Scorpio or, there's a, there's.
Lynnette:this negative perception of Scorpios.
Lynnette:And in astrology, there's never good or bad, Any sign, any energy can be
Lynnette:expressed in literally infinite ways.
Lynnette:And that's one of the reasons why I wanted to start this podcast, because
Lynnette:if someone hears about you having a Leo sun and Leo moon and being like, Ooh,
Lynnette:I don't really feel like a Leo, that helps them to understand maybe why they
Lynnette:don't feel like a Leo or, if they have their sun and moon, the same signs, like
Lynnette:maybe that's why that's not resonating.
Lynnette:And I hope to dispel the myth of the Scorpio, whatever that's going around,
Lynnette:because as much as people talk about that intensity, that is not a bad thing.
Lynnette:Scorpios also bring that intensity to the love that they give, to the relationships
Lynnette:that they have, to whatever they're doing.
Lynnette:So yes, it can, I guess comically or sarcastically be like,
Lynnette:whatever people think it is.
Lynnette:but the other part of it is that once someone who has a fixed sign like Scorpio,
Lynnette:once they are committed to you, that loyalty and the depth of that connection
Lynnette:is just intense in the best way.
Lynnette:It just is overpowering in some ways, because that's magic with Scorpio.
Lynnette:I didn't plan on this being a defend the Scorpio stereotype episode, but I think
Lynnette:you can apply that to any of the signs.
Lynnette:Right?
Lynnette:I think Gemini is probably up there with people being like,
Lynnette:oh, two-faced or whatever.
Lynnette:I don't know.
Lynnette:I try to push those out in my mind because they're so silly.
Lynnette:Like, when you're actually looking at the astrology of it and you're actually
Lynnette:looking at all the different ways that something can express itself, it
Lynnette:just, it doesn't have to be narrowed down to like this one bad thing, which
Lynnette:I think is what a lot of people who aren't familiar with astrology do.
Anoush:No.
Anoush:I agree.
Anoush:And also I think that, you, taught me that too.
Anoush:and, with the little, I know about astrology, it's not just the sun, right?
Anoush:So it's also about the rising and the moon and, and Mia, it has
Anoush:a, rising in Aquarius, which is.
Anoush:Very good.
Anoush:and I don't know if it's good or bad, but I like it.
Anoush:and one of the things you told me when you were reading my chart is
Anoush:that my north node is Aquarius.
Anoush:Is that right?
Lynnette:Oh, yes.
Lynnette:I remember talking about that.
Anoush:so maybe she'll teach me a bit about it.
Anoush:Well, I have a lot of Aquarius in my life, but, I think it's going
Anoush:to be quite interesting to see how my relationship with Mia plays out.
Lynnette:And Leo and Aquarius, cause you have Like the most Leo I've
Lynnette:ever seen anybody's chart, it just is like exploding with Leo energy.
Lynnette:but Leo and Aquarius are opposite in the chart.
Lynnette:So they, in some ways struggle to work together, because they are opposite
Lynnette:points and they're like, no, go this way.
Lynnette:And then the other one's like, no, go this way.
Lynnette:But whenever signs are opposite each other in a chart, they also have a common theme.
Lynnette:when we're talking about an opposition aspect, there's a tension there.
Lynnette:It's like you're in a house and someone knocks at the front door
Lynnette:and someone knocks at the back door.
Lynnette:And sometimes we freeze because we're like, ah, I can't open both
Lynnette:doors at the same time and you panic.
Lynnette:And you just don't know what to do because all these people are knocking.
Lynnette:But then when we realize, wait, I can answer the front door first
Lynnette:and then answer the back door.
Lynnette:I just can't do them at the same time.
Lynnette:That's how you learn to work with those polarities and those separate energies,
Lynnette:because you can pay attention to being like, okay, in this situation, I'm
Lynnette:going to pay attention to my Leo side.
Lynnette:And in this situation, I'm going to pay attention to my Aquarius side.
Lynnette:And both of those signs in a lot of ways are about love.
Lynnette:Leo is about self-love.
Lynnette:great.
Lynnette:We love a healthy ego.
Lynnette:Leo is also about the heart and generosity and.
Lynnette:again, going back to the stereotypes, people think of like, I'm flipping
Lynnette:my hair for everyone who can't see the video, because this is a podcast.
Lynnette:but like, oh, it's me, I'm a superstar.
Lynnette:Look at me.
Lynnette:but Leo is also what we think of in terms of like the wizard of Oz and the,
Lynnette:generous lion and the generosity of heart is what comes to mind when I think of Leo.
Lynnette:And then Aquarius is loving in a distant way.
Lynnette:Aquarius loves humanity, wants to save the planet, wants to save all
Lynnette:the people, but maybe doesn't like humans very much, but you know,
Lynnette:they want to keep their distance.
Lynnette:So, Aquarius is the sign of the humanitarian and, bringing
Lynnette:love to the collective.
Lynnette:Whereas Leo is the sign of loving yourself and bringing that true depth of
Lynnette:a generous heart, to your relationships.
Lynnette:So they're expressing their love differently in that back
Lynnette:door, front door kind of way.
Lynnette:But at the end of the day, it's the same energy.
Anoush:Well, I think that when you're saying like well, everything
Anoush:you always say makes me think a lot.
Anoush:that's why I like it so much.
Anoush:and I think that what you were just saying about the doors resonates
Anoush:with me a lot, because in my life I have my mom and my sister-in-law
Anoush:who are my guides into motherhood.
Anoush:They're both Aquarius.
Anoush:And, I think that if I hadn't had them, I would be a much different mother because
Anoush:if I would have channeled my, I don't know if it was my Leo or what, but if I
Anoush:would have channeled a lot of like my way of seeing things, I would have been, more
Anoush:obsessed, more, I don't know, more scared.
Anoush:they made me relax and say like, everything's going to be all right.
Lynnette:It's so interesting to me, how much Aquarius energy you have in
Lynnette:your life and that your north node is there and that it's balancing out this.
Lynnette:I mean, you said it yourself, it helped you to balance out all of
Lynnette:that Leo energy because you have your sun, your mid-heaven, your south
Lynnette:node, because your north node is in Aquarius, they're always opposite,
Lynnette:venus, the moon and Jupiter all in Leo.
Lynnette:And when we talk about your north node, It's the direction that you're
Lynnette:moving to and like the lessons that you need to learn in this lifetime.
Lynnette:So the universe gave you lots of Aquarius energy to learn from
Lynnette:and to see as an example, right.
Lynnette:They were really expanders to you of being like, oh, I want to be more like this.
Lynnette:I want to embrace this Aquarian energy.
Lynnette:So just with that, you had a headstart in embracing your north node, Because
Lynnette:you had these big eyes being like, wow, I love the way they handle that.
Lynnette:I want to learn how to do that as well.
Lynnette:But the nodes are also points of fate.
Lynnette:They're often called the nodes of fate and the fact that Mia has her Aquarius rising.
Lynnette:when I hear that, I'm like, oh, well, this was fated, like this was meant to
Lynnette:be, and that's, she's another teacher for you, To bring in that energy.
Lynnette:So that's really cool.
Anoush:That's also scary.
Anoush:I feel like she's gonna bring a lot to the table and I'm going
Anoush:to have to be open to everything
Lynnette:But that would happen regardless of what Her rising sign is.
Lynnette:Right.
Lynnette:Like that's just
Anoush:Yeah,
Lynnette:a mom
Anoush:totally.
Anoush:Yeah.
Lynnette:and my mom and I have opposite sun and rising signs.
Lynnette:she's a Virgo sun, Aquarius rising.
Lynnette:I'm an Aquarius sun Virgo rising.
Lynnette:and we have both been teachers in each other's lives, in different phases.
Lynnette:and we talk about that a lot she and I are very close but we have had very
Lynnette:distinct periods where I'm the teacher where she's the teacher where, one
Lynnette:of us is kind of leading the charge.
Lynnette:And looking at it from that perspective, I think might help mellow you out.
Lynnette:Because as a mom, number one, you are a teacher, right?
Lynnette:Like that's your whole point, especially for the first, however
Lynnette:many years of someone's life.
Lynnette:Like there to nurture and grow and teach and all of that.
Lynnette:But as Mia gets older, She's already teaching you different ways to look at
Lynnette:the world, but just acknowledging that is going to be reciprocal might in times
Lynnette:when you're like frustrated by whatever's going on or overwhelmed or whatever,
Lynnette:to be able to have that perspective of being like, okay, she's a teacher for me.
Lynnette:what am I going to learn from this situation?
Lynnette:Might just bring down whatever the feelings associated with that
Anoush:Yeah, Yeah, definitely.
Anoush:And also something different.
Anoush:I'm going to change the conversation entirely but like my rising is
Anoush:sagittarius and Javi is Sagittarius.
Anoush:So I don't know if that makes any sense, but like, I feel like it's,
Anoush:we're connected in some way, all three of us, because we could have
Anoush:been completely different right.
Lynnette:Yeah.
Lynnette:And I personally believe that we choose our charts.
Lynnette:I was supposed to be a Pisces.
Lynnette:I was born six weeks early, and we wouldn't be the people that we are if
Lynnette:we didn't have the charts that we have.
Lynnette:that's a very personal belief.
Lynnette:I'm sure there are other astrologers out there who don't believe that.
Lynnette:But if we're looking at a chart in terms of our life's roadmap and the life
Lynnette:lessons that we're supposed to learn in our entire lifetime on earth, for me, I
Lynnette:feel like there's something behind that.
Lynnette:It's not random, it's not arbitrary.
Lynnette:I believe that our souls have selected this path and our chart
Lynnette:is just here because we forget once we're on this 3d plane, right?
Lynnette:it's our chance to actually live our chart and learn those lessons.
Lynnette:Because if we remembered all this stuff from before we incarnated, then there
Lynnette:wouldn't be a point to being here.
Lynnette:so my personal belief totally fine.
Lynnette:If nobody agrees with this is that Mia chose you and Javi to be her parents.
Lynnette:And she chose that chart.
Lynnette:And, you guys are going to be her guides and her teachers and her family and
Lynnette:everyone's chart has challenging aspects in it because those are the lessons that
Lynnette:we're meant to learn in this go go-round.
Anoush:Yeah.
Anoush:Like nobody's charts will be
Anoush:perfect.
Lynnette:How boring.
Lynnette:Just be able to sail through life with no issues.
Anoush:Well,
Anoush:no, I agree.
Anoush:I agree.
Anoush:it depends on what type of issues you have, right?
Anoush:I guess, I do have a lot of Leo and it's an issue sometimes.
Anoush:especially when I get upset and things like that, because I'm, as you said,
Anoush:Leos are very loyal, and they love a lot.
Anoush:We hate a lot too.
Lynnette:Well, it's the fire, right?
Lynnette:Like
Anoush:well, not hate, I don't want to say that we sort of get upset
Anoush:a lot or when somebody betrays us, we are very, how do you say it?
Anoush:Um, in English you know,
Lynnette:Uh, resent.
Lynnette:It's not even resentful.
Anoush:we hold grudges.
Lynnette:Yes.
Anoush:That's what I wanted to say.
Anoush:and I dunno if I'm like that with everything, but I do have
Anoush:a lot of that energy within me.
Lynnette:Well, and Leo is one of the fixed signs.
Lynnette:So from that perspective, think there's more of a propensity to.
Lynnette:Cut people off or like cut people out.
Lynnette:because it's like, once you've made your decision, you've made your decision.
Lynnette:And if you've decided that you don't want to have somebody in your life,
Lynnette:or you don't want to be friends with somebody or whatever, that's oftentimes
Lynnette:what happens because you're fixed.
Anoush:Yeah.
Anoush:Yeah.
Anoush:That's true.
Anoush:I think that the pandemic taught me a lot on that subject because, well, I
Anoush:think it taught everybody the same thing, because we were all forced to be more,
Anoush:I don't know, to go within ourselves and ask ourselves a lot of questions.
Anoush:At least that's how we experienced, the whole lockdown thing.
Anoush:but I think that one of the crisis I had at least was friendship.
Anoush:Right.
Anoush:And not friendship only, but like relationships in general.
Anoush:and how I wanted to tackle that moving forward.
Anoush:Did I want to actually do that, like cut people out of my life
Anoush:and not talk to them anymore.
Anoush:Or do I want to, I don't give them a second chance in what in my, in my
Anoush:perspective would be a second chance.
Anoush:Right.
Anoush:I'm always in that dichotomy, let's say of like, how do you actually want to take it?
Anoush:Right?
Anoush:do you want to take it as well?
Anoush:This is healthy because otherwise this hurts me.
Anoush:You know, like I'm going to cut these people out because it's healthy
Anoush:for me because otherwise it hurts.
Anoush:Or do you want to fight that a little bit and see how you can actually live
Anoush:with that person not cutting them out and learning how to deal with like
Anoush:other people can do things, but it's how you react the impact it has on you.
Anoush:Right.
Anoush:You decide how you react to things.
Anoush:And that's something we have been talking a lot, with my husband
Anoush:especially yesterday, we were talking about that, like, it is how you react
Anoush:that affects you and you can do with what people do, whatever you want.
Anoush:So if you feel that yourself with a lot of bad energy, then you are the one carrying
Anoush:that, like it's not somebody else.
Anoush:So, I think it was really interesting because made me learn a lot about,
Anoush:how do I want to proceed with that thing of holding grudges?
Anoush:Because I've been doing that my entire life.
Anoush:it's very characteristic of me, but I need to sort of, I want to break that cycle.
Anoush:It's not that I need to, but I want to, because I feel like I'm losing a lot.
Anoush:I'm losing a lot of energy.
Anoush:You're wasting, on that and I'm missing out, you know what I mean?
Anoush:because I say, no, this hurts me bye, but maybe I need to redefine
Anoush:things and grab that differently.
Anoush:You know what I mean?
Lynnette:Yeah.
Lynnette:just like everything else.
Lynnette:we talked about earlier, the fixed energy, which you have so
Lynnette:much of because of your Leo, your Aquarius, you have Pluto in Scorpio.
Lynnette:oh.
Lynnette:And your Mars is in Taurus.
Lynnette:You have a lot of fixed energy in your chart.
Lynnette:It's like almost all fixed energy, but it can go both ways.
Lynnette:So yes, you can decide.
Lynnette:I don't want that person in my life anymore.
Lynnette:I don't want to deal with this because it hurts.
Lynnette:And then you make that decision and you stick with it.
Lynnette:But the other side of that coin is you making the decision to not
Lynnette:waste the energy, to not miss out.
Lynnette:And then that fixed energy supports you however you want to learn the
Lynnette:new way of being So you have the ability more than most people who
Lynnette:don't have 10 planets in fixed signs.
Lynnette:you have so much support from your chart to really do what you put your mind to,
Lynnette:especially with your Mars in Taurus, because Mars is the planet of action.
Lynnette:And Taurus is the sign of persistence, really.
Lynnette:So you have, you have the dream chart for going after what you want.
Anoush:but it's so weird because I have a lot of fixed energy, but I feel like
Anoush:I'm in constant change, like all the time.
Anoush:Like I always look for change.
Anoush:Maybe it's my anxiety or I get bored a lot, but, It's interesting,
Lynnette:Well, and oftentimes we seek out the things that we need
Lynnette:to balance the energies that we have really heavily in our chart.
Lynnette:So with all that fixed energy I understand why that could make you
Lynnette:want variety and mutability, so.
Lynnette:You could be seeking that out.
Lynnette:you also have a Sagittarius rising and that is a huge part of who you are.
Lynnette:And that's a placement that it's not just seeking change, but it's,
Lynnette:how can I learn the next thing?
Lynnette:How can I expand my knowledge, my horizons.
Lynnette:and you also have all of those Leo planets in your ninth house,
Lynnette:which is basically the house that is represented by Sagittarius.
Lynnette:So yes, your fixed energy is really strong.
Lynnette:Your Leo energy is really strong, but so is your Sagittarius energy
Lynnette:by connection to that ninth house.
Lynnette:Because all of that Leo energy is channeling in the area of your life
Lynnette:of needing to grow, constantly.
Lynnette:Needing to learn new things, needing to, expand.
Lynnette:I mean, that's the, the theme of Sagittarius and the ninth house.
Lynnette:And because it's all fixed, you're like, I need to do this forever.
Lynnette:I'm going to be very fixed about needing to have this in my life.
Anoush:I totally feel that.
Anoush:I can't stay still what I found interesting about the charts is
Anoush:that they, they sort of push you into a certain direction too, right?
Anoush:when you actually know what your chart looks like, you're like,
Anoush:oh, this makes total sense.
Anoush:I'm going to put more energy in this because this helps me, I don't know,
Anoush:go into the right direction, you know?
Anoush:so it's good to know that the reason why I'm constantly changing, it's
Anoush:maybe not a bad thing, but it's more of like what I need to break a cycle.
Anoush:I think that's really cool
Lynnette:what I like about having formal conversations with my friends
Lynnette:is I learn so much about you all.
Lynnette:In the form that I sent you ahead of time, you mentioned you're a quality
Lynnette:program manager by day and a philosopher by night and the ninth house and
Lynnette:Sagittarius are about philosophy.
Lynnette:And that's, something that I have in my head and Jupiter
Lynnette:about those three connections.
Lynnette:But we don't really talk about philosophy much in everyday life in 2022.
Lynnette:I think it's something that.
Lynnette:we think of old Greek guys talking about, and it's not really something that is, a
Lynnette:common word that we're throwing around.
Lynnette:So I loved learning that about you, but I also love how that is
Lynnette:so clearly marked in your chart.
Lynnette:And it probably is something that I've said in passing like, oh, it's about
Lynnette:your worldview or your philosophies in life But I feel like that's
Lynnette:something that is just, it's something for people to chew on or to ponder.
Lynnette:But with you actually using that word, I was like, oh, ding, ding, ding.
Lynnette:that's a really core part of who you are.
Anoush:a while back, the first time somebody read my chart, they told
Anoush:me that one of the things I had was I needed to find meaning to things.
Anoush:that's one of my things in my chart apparently.
Anoush:I don't know.
Anoush:and it's so weird because I'm constantly doing that.
Anoush:Not only like finding meaning to the things I do, or to the
Anoush:things somebody else does.
Anoush:let's say somebody ghosts you, I want to know why, like I can't stop.
Anoush:I'm going to go till the end to find out why.
Lynnette:Well, that is a great place to have Mia as your partner, because
Lynnette:Scorpio is like the ultimate detective.
Lynnette:Like they will dig through the trash to find whatever information they need.
Lynnette:So,
Anoush:yeah.
Anoush:And that's great news now we're getting, but, um, it was just an example
Anoush:of, I'm not talking about ghosting,
Lynnette:so was my
Lynnette:Scorpio example, I don't want to bias anybody,
Anoush:but.
Anoush:I just, I find it really, really weird because I studied philosophy
Anoush:in the university and then I studied, Oh, I went to a philosophy
Anoush:class for, I don't know, two years.
Anoush:love that.
Anoush:And that teacher that was teaching me he mentioned that if during the day
Anoush:you ask a question that has doesn't have an answer, or maybe it does, it
Anoush:does have an answer, but like, just asking a question about how things work.
Anoush:it's already doing philosophy.
Anoush:So that's why I said I'm a philosopher at night because I'm all the time
Anoush:asking myself these types of questions.
Anoush:What does this mean?
Anoush:Or where is this coming from or what I said at the
Anoush:beginning of the podcast, right?
Anoush:Like, we create our own reality.
Anoush:So find it really interesting to ask.
Anoush:I'll ask all these questions because I want to have a point of view on certain
Anoush:things and like go there, you know?
Anoush:I know it happened with a lot of things.
Anoush:creating a point of view on parenthood.
Anoush:Like when we found out I was pregnant, we sat down and we had,
Anoush:like all these long conversations about like, where do we want to go?
Anoush:How do we want to take this?
Anoush:how do we want to raise Mia?
Anoush:we answered a thousand questions.
Anoush:It's a, I don't know, a survey not a survey, but like a
Anoush:questionnaire that you can answer.
Anoush:And it's like,
Anoush:What values do you want to instill in your children?
Anoush:and then develop into like a huge conversation.
Anoush:Like what kind of values do you live on?
Anoush:Right.
Anoush:I don't know that those types of things, I can go all day with this, but, these
Anoush:are the types of conversations I have
Lynnette:yeah, and with Javi being a Sagittarius, that is probably part of the
Lynnette:reason why you guys get along, because you're both able to think about philosophy
Lynnette:and you talking about all of this.
Lynnette:I just, re-read one of my favorite books, called Sophie's world.
Lynnette:And Have you heard of it?
Anoush:Yeah.
Anoush:I have.
Anoush:I didn't read it.
Lynnette:It's basically an introductory course to philosophy
Lynnette:as told through the stories of two.
Lynnette:Teenage girls, in Scandinavia, it's so well-written, and it's kind of
Lynnette:meta and I don't really know how to describe it because it's a weird book.
Lynnette:but I think philosophy and astrology, good astrology have
Lynnette:in common that like philosophy isn't meant to give you answers.
Lynnette:it's just meant to give you more questions.
Lynnette:And in the episode I just released with Tan we were talking about how a
Lynnette:good astrologer will just give you more questions for you to think about, right?
Lynnette:Because you're the one who has to live with your chart and figure out
Lynnette:what each expression means to you.
Lynnette:so that's a crossover I had never thought about before, but really when
Lynnette:we're talking about astrology, so much of it is your personal philosophy on
Lynnette:yourself and your life, and exactly what you're talking about with Mia.
Lynnette:It's your ability to do that for yourself as you're growing and
Lynnette:like making choices every day,
Anoush:And I think that's one of the reasons why I think
Anoush:you're an amazing astrologer is because you don't define people.
Anoush:You do that, you pose questions.
Anoush:You.
Anoush:guide people into finding more about themselves.
Anoush:And I think that's pretty good.
Anoush:And I think you're a great guide, at least for me.
Anoush:and, you inspire me to starting to learn about tarot, right?
Anoush:so you started doing this mystic Monday things where you
Anoush:pulled out a card for everybody.
Anoush:And, I sort of started like saying what I totally needed that card.
Anoush:Like every time it was the same thing, every time, like every time you
Anoush:pull out a card and I'm like, yeah, that's exactly the card I needed.
Anoush:and I started doing the tarot course and one of the first things they
Anoush:tell you is like tarot doesn't.
Anoush:tell the future, it guides you into asking yourself questions and I think they're
Anoush:connected in a way, tarot and astrology.
Anoush:Like that's how it should be.
Anoush:I wouldn't like to have somebody can read the chart to me and say like,
Anoush:you're like this and you're like that.
Anoush:And you're like this, because that's the energy.
Anoush:I felt from a lot of people around me.
Anoush:Right.
Anoush:like, Mia is a Scorpio, she's going to be like that.
Anoush:And, maybe she, she isn't.
Anoush:or maybe she is, but we can contribute things into her life to make that change.
Anoush:I don't know how I'm going to get along with her.
Anoush:and that's the most scary part, but,
Lynnette:No, you're just, your guys are going to get along
Lynnette:the way that you're meant to.
Lynnette:Everyone's chart is as unique as a fingerprint.
Lynnette:Nobody has the same chart.
Lynnette:So when we're talking about the skeptics of astrology, who are like,
Lynnette:well, you can't categorize everyone on the planet into 12 categories.
Lynnette:And like, they're not all the same.
Lynnette:You're right.
Lynnette:They aren't all the same.
Lynnette:everyone has a different Venus placement, a different rising sign, a different moon
Lynnette:sign, and then that's just the basics of astrology with the major planets.
Lynnette:Then we get into asteroids and there are thousands of asteroids.
Lynnette:So for like, I'm clenching my fist because I'm frustrated that any, that anyone has
Lynnette:put into your mind, any sort of doubt or fear about what your relationship with
Lynnette:Mia will look like based on one thing.
Lynnette:Right?
Lynnette:Like that's so.
Lynnette:Silly.
Lynnette:Like I was clenching my fist earlier, out a frustration, but I'm laughing
Lynnette:because she is going to be a whole person.
Lynnette:And whether we're talking about her astrology placements or just her
Lynnette:personality or her experiences, or the choices that she makes you being
Lynnette:a good mother and supporting her and guiding her and teaching her and
Lynnette:sharing your philosophies with her.
Lynnette:And all of the things that we've been talking about over this entire chat are
Lynnette:what are going to build that relationship.
Lynnette:And so, yes.
Lynnette:Is it good for you to understand what Scorpio means and how it expresses itself?
Lynnette:Of course, just like it is for you to understand how Leo expresses itself,
Lynnette:but you also don't resonate with the stereotypical descriptions of Leo, just
Lynnette:like Mia may or may not resonate with the stereotypical expressions of scorpio.
Anoush:Can I ask you a question?
Lynnette:Yeah.
Anoush:If a person was born with that same chart, let's say in a
Anoush:completely different context, would that affect how they are like, would
Anoush:context affect how people are if the planets are in the same place?
Lynnette:What do you mean by context?
Anoush:So For example, my context was that I was born in Argentina.
Anoush:I was raised by Armenians.
Anoush:I had a lot of input from different people.
Anoush:let's say we take that same chart 10 years ago.
Anoush:Would that mean that that person will be different?
Lynnette:Well, you wouldn't have the same chart 10 years ago because the
Lynnette:outer planets, Pluto, Uranus, they move so slowly that Pluto takes 200 plus
Lynnette:years to go around the entire Zodiac.
Lynnette:Even twins who are born minutes apart, you see that they have different
Lynnette:expressions of very similar charts.
Lynnette:There's a chance that the rising sign changes two hours and the
Lynnette:moon changes about every two days.
Lynnette:So, even when we're talking about twins, there's a chance
Lynnette:that those signs might change.
Lynnette:They probably won't, but twins look the same or, are born at the same time,
Lynnette:but they have different personalities.
Lynnette:And that's just what speaks to the infinite expressions
Lynnette:of all of these energies.
Anoush:Yeah Okay, perfect.
Anoush:Got it.
Lynnette:The other piece is, there could have been someone born at the
Lynnette:exact same time as you, but if they were born halfway across the world
Lynnette:in Timbuktu, wherever, that's going to change their house placements.
Lynnette:So even if the planets are in the same places, the areas of their life,
Lynnette:that that energy is expressing itself in is going to be totally different.
Lynnette:So that's why I'm saying, like, we can't reduce anybody, ourselves, our kids, our
Lynnette:friends, our parents to one thing, because our astrology chart is a reflection
Lynnette:of who we are and people are complex.
Lynnette:People, are learning and growing and changing every day.
Lynnette:So it's just not, not possible.
Lynnette:It's not possible.
Lynnette:And that's that
Lynnette:I'm putting my foot down.
Lynnette:Okay, Anoush, we were all over the place in this conversation and I loved it.
Lynnette:I loved every minute of it.
Lynnette:let's move on to my newly coined section, not so rapid fire questions.
Lynnette:So take your time, take your time in answering
Lynnette:these.
Anoush:Okay.
Lynnette:Do you consider yourself to be more of an introvert or an extrovert?
Anoush:Oh, extravert, for sure.
Lynnette:There's Leo.
Lynnette:There she is.
Anoush:But you know, I'm an extrovert, but at the same time, I'm also a singer.
Anoush:I'm a musician.
Anoush:I love to do all of that, but I hate to show myself Like I'm an
Anoush:extrovert, but up to some point, I like to show myself somehow, but I
Anoush:hate to be the center of attention.
Lynnette:That's very Aquarius.
Anoush:Really.
Lynnette:Leo wants to be on the stage.
Lynnette:Aquarius wants to be in the audience.
Anoush:Wow.
Anoush:That's I do want to be on the stage though.
Lynnette:You don't want anyone in the audience?
Anoush:Yes, exactly.
Anoush:That's so weird, but yeah, that's
Lynnette:Well, maybe that's your way of like answering one door at a time?
Lynnette:I think the other thing is that, you know, Leo's get the rap of, being
Lynnette:the rockstar, like always wanting to be center stage, but really it's
Lynnette:about shining in the places that you want to shine So for you, maybe that.
Lynnette:Being the center of attention with your family or, places where you feel
Lynnette:comfortable, just because you have a lot of Leo in your chart doesn't mean
Lynnette:that you want to be standing on a stage in front of a bunch of strangers.
Lynnette:It just means that you want to feel validated and seen in the
Lynnette:places where you feel comfortable that, like where you want to shine.
Lynnette:Does that make sense?
Anoush:Yes.
Anoush:Totally.
Anoush:I think one of the reasons why I'm like an extrovert, but up to some point
Anoush:is because I'm a huge perfectionist.
Anoush:Like I go to a social gathering I'm with a lot of people when I come
Anoush:back, I like revisit the entire thing.
Anoush:And I I'm like, well, I said this wrong.
Anoush:I did this wrong.
Anoush:I give myself feedback.
Anoush:But I'm, I, that that's insane.
Anoush:That drives you nuts.
Anoush:I don't know.
Anoush:That's why I don't like to be that much, the center of attention, because I, would
Anoush:be very hard on myself, you know, that's so weird because because it's such a Leo
Anoush:thing and I can't seem to like completely embrace it, you know what I mean?
Lynnette:That's a stereotypical Leo thing.
Lynnette:So you don't have to embrace it if it's not something that
Lynnette:you feel comfortable with.
Lynnette:with all of that Leo energy in your ninth house, it's maybe shining or being
Lynnette:the center of attention when it comes to philosophy or asking questions, even
Lynnette:at work Are you contributing because you're asking questions that nobody
Lynnette:is asking or asking questions at all, instead of just like going with the flow.
Lynnette:So I think we generally all have a lot of work to do around these
Lynnette:stereotypes and these assumptions that we have about signs.
Lynnette:Because again, there's just so many different ways to
Lynnette:express each of these energies.
Lynnette:And we shouldn't feel like we have to change who we are or feel like we aren't
Lynnette:fitting into like some box, like the Leo box, because we don't align with these
Lynnette:three descriptions that we find on Google.
Lynnette:so I guess I would just encourage you and anyone else who feels
Lynnette:that way to just think differently about what each sign means.
Lynnette:Talk to a professional astrologer, preferably me,
Anoush:Yes.
Lynnette:I think that when you feel misaligned, based on that
Lynnette:information, it doesn't feel good.
Lynnette:And you're like, well, why am I like this?
Lynnette:And I don't want anyone to feel like that because you shouldn't you're
Lynnette:you and your chart is expressing itself the way that it should.
Lynnette:My job is just to help you understand, why maybe that isn't aligning with
Lynnette:the big picture, like what people are saying or anything like that.
Anoush:I think everybody needs a Lynnette in their lives or, having a, like a
Anoush:session with you to empower themselves.
Anoush:You're amazing.
Lynnette:You're amazing.
Lynnette:Like we're already not so rapidly answering these questions.
Lynnette:Anoush, what is your super power?
Anoush:oh, wow.
Anoush:is my superpower?
Anoush:I think my superpower is maybe I'm being too cocky, but maybe I'm being
Anoush:too Leo, but, um, I'm very empathetic.
Anoush:Like, I want that to be my superpower, even if it's maybe not, but like, I
Anoush:want that one to be my superpower.
Anoush:I have context the word context, tattooed in my neck because I think
Anoush:everybody has their own context and everybody has their own reality.
Anoush:And we need to take that into account whenever we're dealing with anybody.
Anoush:I'm very empathetic.
Anoush:I like to, put myself in other people's shoes for sure.
Anoush:I think that's my superpower.
Lynnette:I love that.
Lynnette:I also think asking questions as a superpower.
Anoush:Really?
Anoush:Do you see what I did?
Lynnette:I did.
Lynnette:Now I'm going to ask you a question.
Lynnette:What is your dream travel destination?
Anoush:Ooh.
Anoush:right now we want to go to Japan.
Anoush:I think that's one, but for a long time it was, Easter island.
Anoush:Don't ask me why, but it was Easter island.
Lynnette:Well, I have to look at your astromap cause that's like very specific.
Anoush:It's Like, I don't know why I was like very tempted to go there.
Anoush:I want to see the, like the rock faces and I don't know what they're called.
Anoush:Yeah.
Lynnette:Interesting.
Lynnette:Okay.
Anoush:right.
Lynnette:well, I want to follow up on that.
Lynnette:That sounds intriguing from a locational astrology perspective.
Anoush:We use it to travel, right?
Anoush:Not live.
Lynnette:Yes travel.
Lynnette:But oftentimes when we're called to places, especially places
Lynnette:like that, there's a reason.
Lynnette:So I'm just, I'm curious.
Lynnette:How do you bring ritual into your daily life?
Anoush:so I do have my deck in my hand all the time.
Anoush:And I, pull out a card every day, but, with the baby rituals are more routine
Anoush:tasks And we do the same thing every day, because routines make a baby feel safer.
Anoush:they like it when you do your routine.
Anoush:So that's basically it.
Anoush:Things I do every day is listen to music for sure.
Anoush:I, try to read, I fail a lot, but I do try every day to read a couple of
Anoush:pages, at least, And yeah, I work.
Anoush:That's a ritual for me too.
Lynnette:And I would argue that routine it can be sacred ritual,
Lynnette:especially when you're talking about bringing safety to the most
Lynnette:precious thing in your life, right?
Lynnette:Like that's magic right there.
Lynnette:you're being very intentional and that's a very Leo characteristic as well.
Lynnette:And last but not least, where do you shine brightest in your life?
Anoush:Where do brightest in my life?
Anoush:can I say work?
Lynnette:You can say whatever you
Lynnette:want.
Anoush:I think at work because I, I don't know, I feel very comfortable, working.
Anoush:I think that's where I feel most confident as well, I do that
Anoush:eight hours a day, every day.
Anoush:and well, now I'm experiencing a new section in my life,
Anoush:which is being a mother.
Anoush:And I really hope I can say the same thing in a year or so.
Anoush:right now it's so brand new.
Anoush:I don't want to say that's where I shine the brightest.
Anoush:But, I'll tell you in a year or so if that's the new place, but
Anoush:I love, I love being a mother.
Anoush:It's like something I I'm really excited about.
Anoush:And it's brand new, so I don't want to jinx it, but you know,
Anoush:that people say, I don't know, I'm done changing diapers or whatever.
Anoush:I'm not done.
Anoush:I could do that everyday.
Anoush:I love spending time with her.
Anoush:whichever way it is whichever form.
Anoush:So
Lynnette:that sounds shiny to me, but I let you come
Lynnette:around to it in your own time.
Lynnette:the way you talk about being a mom is, just with so much love and.
Lynnette:that shines through to me.
Lynnette:just how, how happy it makes you and how much joy from it.
Lynnette:So I'm not answering the question though.
Anoush:It does make me really happy.
Anoush:it does, I feel like, obviously we wanted her, like we were looking for her.
Anoush:Right.
Anoush:and we had in our minds this little girl, Mia, like we had
Anoush:that in our heads for years.
Anoush:especially me, I think, we both did, but, I didn't realize how much
Anoush:I wanted it until I had her like.
Anoush:Now I see it like it's it was meant to be like, I needed this in my life.
Anoush:I think.
Anoush:yeah, and, it makes me extremely happy.
Anoush:I'm the happiest, I've ever been the first three months that I only spent with her.
Anoush:I didn't do anything else were amazing.
Anoush:Like I was, I was in cloud nine the entire time.
Anoush:we all were it's the best, at least for me.
Anoush:Like, I don't know what to say, because I always say that it's the best, but
Anoush:there's a lot of people that actually struggle a lot and, they don't sleep
Anoush:and, they find it really difficult.
Anoush:They struggle with, I don't know the hormonal rollercoaster.
Anoush:I didn't have that experience after I gave birth to her.
Anoush:I didn't go into.
Anoush:Postpartum depression or anything, but there's a lot of people that do, I don't
Anoush:want to say like, Hey, go have babies because maybe you have a bad experience.
Anoush:But like, honestly it made it, it all made sense
Anoush:and that's my experience.
Lynnette:well just hearing you talk about it makes me feel happy.
Lynnette:happy for you.
Lynnette:Happy for Mia, that she has such a loving and expansive mom, you're
Lynnette:going to show her all the things.
Lynnette:I am just so grateful for you for sharing your experience and asking
Lynnette:me all those questions anoush.
Lynnette:All of them, And it was, thank you so much for sharing and being so open and
Lynnette:telling us what it's like being a new mom.
Lynnette:Where can people find you if they want to follow along with your
Lynnette:journey or see cute pictures of mia?
Anoush:they can find me on Instagram.
Anoush:My Instagram is at E I N U S H.
Lynnette:Awesome.
Lynnette:Well, thank you so much.
Lynnette:I loved chatting with you.
Lynnette:Give Mia a big squeeze for me.
Anoush:Thank you.
Anoush:I will.
Anoush:Thank you so much having me, Lynnette.
Lynnette:I loved it., I always love talking to you
Anoush:same here.
Anoush:You're the best.
Lynnette:because you asked me all the questions.
Lynnette:All right.
Lynnette:Anoush, have a great day.
Lynnette:I'll talk to you soon.
Anoush:Okay, you too,
